08/22/17 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Tuesday, August 22nd.
  • Teachers, please take this time to record your attendance in Infinite Campus.
  • Breakfast will be served in the Cafeteria daily.  So please join us for a hearty breakfast to start your day.
  • A reminder to all staff that the marching band was excused 5th period through IE yesterday for the band photo.
  • Students in grades 9 -12, please listen carefully to the procedure for making a Schedule Change Request. You can make a schedule change request during your lunch period today and tomorrow. In order to do this, you must have the blue Schedule Change Request form filled out and signed by a parent. If you are in grades 10-12, your counselor will be in the E-Room on the carpeted area, if you are in 9th grade, you can see Ms. Hyland in the PAD. Counselors will be available during lunch periods ONLY. The requests you can make include: you would like a different elective, you would like to be an office runner or drop lunch to take an extra elective course. Schedule Change Requests will only be accepted during lunch periods today and tomorrow and you MUST have the blue form filled out completely in order to have your request be considered.
  • It's time to get involved! Student Council's first meeting will be on Tuesday, August 22 at 2:35 p.m. in Room 296. We will be deciding this year's Homecoming theme during this meeting. Please see Mrs. Latessa in Room 296 or Mrs. Pollack in Room 263 if you have any questions.
  • The marching band and Orchestra will present a special performance for all 5th graders in the District this Thursday Aug 24. Band and Orchestra members are excused 3rd and 4th period for the assembly in the Auditorium. A reminder to all marching band members that Drum line rehearses Tuesday after school and full band rehearsal meets every Thursday after school until 5pm.

  • Calling all Panther Fans!! This Friday, August 25 is the season opener for the football team at 7:00 PM at Glenville. Come to the athletics office Today through Thursday from 8:30 AM until 3:00 PM or Friday from 8:30 AM until 2:30 PM. to get your ticket to the game for $4.00 AND a free Euclid vs. Glenville t-shirt to wear to the game. Student and adult tickets are all $4 for pre-sale and everyone gets a free shirt until supplies run out! You don't want to miss this!
  • All 10th-12th grade football players meet at 2:30pm in little theater for pictures.  Also all 8th and 9th grade football players mandatory study hall in auditorium everyday after school starting at 2:40pm before practice.
  • Coach Ingram would like to give a Shout Out to sophomore girl's tennis player Aireyanna (Air-E-On-ah) Sharp for her perseverance on the courts last Friday night against North High School. After 2 sets, the score was tied 1 to 1. Aireyanna was up by 3 games until her opponent rallied, defeating her 6 to 4. It was an exciting match to watch. The High School Girls Tennis team will face North High again at home September 14. Please come cheer the team on to victory.

  • Teachers, please take this time to record your attendance in Infinite Campus.  Thank you
  • Breakfast will be served in the Cafeteria daily. So please join us for a hearty breakfast to start your day.
  • Students in grades 9 -12, please listen carefully to the procedure for making a Schedule Change Request. If you have an IMMEDIATE need, for example: you do not have a lunch, you have a an "empty" period, you are missing a required course OR you are in a course that you already successfully completed. Please see your counselor TODAY or TOMORROW - yellow forms are available in all offices or from your teacher. 9th graders will go Ms. Hyland in room 290. 10th - 12th and Career Tech/CCP students will see their respective counselor in room 230-232. 
  • If you would like to make a change, but it is not an emergency, you will make your request Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday of next week during your lunch period. These requests include: you would like a different elective, you would like to be an office runner or you are assigned to a teacher that you previously failed the course with. 9th graders can see Ms. Hyland in the PAD (in the cafeteria) during lunch and 10-12 grades can get in line to see their counselor in the carpeted area of the E-Room. You must have the blue form, signed by a parent, ready to present to your counselor. These forms can be retrieved from room 290 or 230/232 or from your teacher.
  • All new football players in grades 8-12, please meet Coach Rotsky on the soccer practice field at 2:15pm. In addition a doctor will be here today at 5:30pm to give physicals.
  • 8th grade boys and girls interested in running cross country please come after school to Ms.Bowers room 103 to sign up and pick-up paper work. practice will start Monday the 21th. Hope to see you there.

05/22/17 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Monday, May 22nd
  • Congratulations to the Lady Panthers track team who competed this past weekend at the District track meet.  Caisja Chandler placed 1st in the 100 and 200 Meter Dash, Kristan Ross placed 2nd in the 200 and 400 Meter Dash and Joann Felix placed 1st in the High Jump.  All 3 ladies get to compete on Wednesday at the Austintown Fitch High School Regional track meet.
  • The E-room cafeteria will only be open from 10:55am until 1:00pm tomorrow and Wednesday.  On Thursday it will only be open from 9:10am until 11:00am.  The main cafeteria will be closed for the year starting tomorrow.
  • Commencement band should report at 4:30pm today.  We will depart for the CSU Wolstein Center at 5pm.
  • Any students in grades 7-10 interested in a fun and free summer program, join Ms. Flowers this summer here at EHS for “Summer Bridge 2017.” Applications are available in Ms.Russo & Ms. Flowers' office.  There will also be a mandatory parent meeting this Saturday at 12pm if you plan to attend.

05/19/17 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Friday, May 19th.
  • The E-room cafeteria will be open after finals from 10:55 until 1:00 only on Tuesday and Wednesday.  On Thursday it will be open from 9:10 until 11:00 only.  The main cafeteria will be closed for the year.
  • The NJHS has received a lot of coupons so far, but we know there are many students and staff who still haven't brought any in! It just takes a moment of your time to help a worthy cause. Go through your junk mail tonight and bring in those coupons on Monday! Give them to your homeroom teacher. And, remember, NJHS Members, new and old, are expected to bring in their family's coupons!!!
  • The Marching band will perform for Relay for Life this evening.  Band Members should arrive at 5pm in Summer Uniform.  Commencement Band should report to the high school at 4:30pm on Monday, May 22.  We will depart for the CSU Wolstein Center at 5pm and return by 9:30pm.

05/16/17 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Tuesday, May 16th.
  • Congratulations to Connor Hoffman, Alex Ridevski and Justin Fike who participated in the National BPA Competition in Orlando Florida Last week. Connor placed 1st in the Cisco Competition out of 46 participants. Alex also placed 1st out of 62 participants in the Computer Networking Competition, while Justin took 4th place. Congratulations to the Cisco Career Tech Program as this marks the second year in a row that students from the program took first place in both competitions. It is the 7th time in the last 9 years students have taken home a 1st place award.
  • Educators Rising Meeting today is at 2:30 in room 231.  We have guest speakers coming to tell us how to land the jobs we want.  Anyone interested is welcome to join us today in room 231.

  • Attention all students! Did you know that Military families can use coupons for up to 6 months AFTER they expire? The National Junior Honor Society is partnering up with Coups for Troops to collect and distribute coupons to these well deserving families.  We all get coupons in our weekly fliers at home. Next week, please bring in any and all extra coupons your family may have and turn them in to your homeroom teacher or Ms. Collins directly.  Lets all do something nice for the families of the men and women who serve our country. Bring in your coupons!!
  • The Euclid Recreation Department is offering American Red Cross Lifeguard Training for those interested. The course begins Tuesday, May 9th and takes place here at Euclid High School. The cost is $90 for participants who pass the course and commit to working for the City of Euclid and $190 for all others. You must be 15 years old by May 18th to participate. For information about course dates and times or to register call the Euclid Recreation Department at 216-289-8114.
