11/30/15 Announcements

  • Good morning and welcome back Euclid High School, where students are standing up together and taking control of their future!  Today is Monday, November 30th.
  • Just a reminder there is no IE today.
  • All students attending the field trip to the Food bank must meet in the E Room at the end of second period today.
  • Alateen will meet Tuesday during I/E (2pm) in Room 209.  See Ms. Russo or Mr. Fletcher if you have any questions.
  • Hey Mediators!  If you are interested in coming on our Field Trip, Listen Up!  Parent permission letters are due by this Wednesday.  Bring them to the Mediation Center and select your food for the dinner.  Remember, our Field Trip is this Friday!
  • Euclid High School’s Symphonic Orchestra and Choirs will present their annual Holiday Concert on Wed. Dec. 9 at 7:00pm in the Euclid High School Auditorium.  The concert will include the traditional candle light processional to “O Come All Ye Faithful” by Choral Masters as well as a sneak preview of the Varsity Choral Competition Show.  The Symphonic Orchestra will perform the Surprise Symphony and end with the great Holiday classic “The Hallelujah Chorus” by Handel performed with full orchestra and Choirs.  Admission is $3.00.
  • There will be a Stand-Up meeting this Thursday in room 263.  We will begin promptly at 2:40.  Hope to see you there!
  • The student newspaper will meet this Friday, December 4th at 2:00 in room 269.  Please share ideas and articles for the upcoming issue using Google docs.  If you missed the initial sign up meeting please see Mrs. Aponte-Brown in room 269 and attend the meeting on Friday.

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where students are standing up together and taking control of their future!  Today is Tuesday, November 24th
  • Just a reminder that IE today is for 2nd period.  IE is mandatory unless you have an excuse from your teacher.
  • Students!  There will be an Alateen meeting today in Room 209 during I/E (2pm). All who are interested and not having to attend I/E with a teacher are welcome.  Alateen is a group that allows teens to find solutions when a loved one is effected by drug or alcohol problems!  See Ms. Russo or Mr.Fletcher for any questions.
  • The orchestra and band will be hosting a fundraiser at Applebees in Willoughby tonight. Please plan on eating out to support the band and orchestra. You must obtain an Applebees flyer in the band room. See you this evening at Applebees in Willoughby near the Cracker Barrel!
  • If you want to compete in the circle with pride, and stay in condition for next season, please see Coach Turk in Room 107 this week about joining the wrestling team.  We are looking for students that weigh from 100 pounds to 300 pounds.

  • A reminder to all marching band members that we will practice outside today to prepare for Saturday's playoff game. All members of flag core and dance team should report to the band room today 3rd period for outside practice.
  • The fall play will resume their after school bake sale, along with a 50/50 raffle contest, that will run from now until December 4.  Tickets can be bought at the same table as the bake sale and the winner will be announced at the December 10th performance.
  • Hey all you Mediators!  Make sure you come to our meeting after school today.  We will be taking our yearbook picture, signing up for our Field Trip and finding out about our Chipotle Night Fundraiser.  Meet us in the Panther Den at 2:30 on Thursday.

  • There is a lunch menu change this week due to the field trip on Friday.  We will be having Grilled Cheese on Thursday, and Chicken with a twist on Friday.  Please plan accordingly.
  • The results from the November Ohio Math League Contest are in. Congratulations to Jessica Lisy for getting the highest score. Luke Johnson was second and Kennedy Johnson was third. For the year Luke Johnson is first, Kennedy Johnson is second, and Jayne D'Arcy is third. The next contest will be December 8.
  • A role has opened up in fall play and is now available.  Those who are SERIOUSLY INTERESTED should come down to the little theater after school to speak with the director.  Again, serious inquiries only.  We are also looking for additional crew members.  If interested please come after school to the little theater as well.  Lastly, fall play will resume their after school bake sale along with a 50/50 raffle contest that will run from now until December 4. Tickets can be bought at the same table as the bake sale and the winner will be announced at the December 10th performance.

  • Just a reminder that we are on the “A” rotation schedule this week and toady’s IE period is 3rd.
  • The cafeteria staff has a change for today’s lunch menu.  Pizza will be replaced with popcorn chicken. The rest of the menu remains the same.
  • There will be a Student Council meeting today, Wednesday, November 11 at 2:35 p.m. in Room 296. We will be discussing our fall and winter events. Please see Mrs. Latessa or Mrs. Pollack with anyone questions.

11/09/15 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School where students are standing up together and taking control of their future!  Today is Monday, November 9th.
  • Attention Key Club Members.  If you are planning on attending the field trip on November 19th, please see Ms. Rosati in room 121 to pick up your permission slip forms.  The first 8 students to return the permission slip forms, will be able to attend the field trip.  The Key Club meeting this week will be on Thursday November 12th at 2:45 in room 121.  See you there.
  • Attention wrestlers: Today is the first official day of practice for the wrestling season.  Attendance is mandatory for everyone who is NOT on the State Playoff football team.  We will meet in the wrestling room at 2:30 after school for all necessary paperwork and practice.  Hope to see you there!

11/06/15 Announcments

  • Good morning Euclid High School where students are standing up together and taking control of their future!  Today is Blue & Gold Friday, November 6th.
  • Attention all students.  The library will be closed today due to testing.  All student library aides and students who are required to attend study hall should report to room 295.  The library will reopen on Monday.
  • What do Ray Lewis, Bo Jackson, and Warren Sapp have in common?  They are all Pro-Bowl NFL football players who wrestled in high school.  If you want to reap the benefits that they found on the wrestling mat there is still time to join the wrestling team.  The first official practice is on Monday November 9th.  Please see Coach Turk in Room 107 for information.  The wrestling team is also looking for students to keep statistics and to videotape matches.
