04/29/16 Announcements

  • The library is closed today due to testing.
  • Juniors - There will be an opportunity for you to participate in an ACT review group in the weeks leading up to the June 4th test. If you are interested, please sign up in the Guidance Office by Monday May 2nd.
  • Seniors! Prom is right around the corner! Prom tickets are on sale in the treasurer's office, located in the E-Room. Tickets are $90 per person and include after-prom. Please remember in order to complete your contract, you need your fees paid, your emergency medical form on file, and a signature from your unit office. Don't wait-get your ticket today!
  • Seniors, this is the LAST day to turn in your Dave and Buster's permission slips! Please see Mrs. Latessa in Room 296 or Mrs. Gaul in Room 298 to secure your spot on this fantastic senior only event! We need your completed permission slip and $35 cash or money order to make that happen.
  • Good Luck to the robotics team as they compete Saturday. Members of the team include Eddie Conger, Josh Ritchey, Dayna Shirer, Connor Hoffman, Ethan Clark, Peter Powell, Alex Bowman, Daniel Hercik, Luke Johnson, and Corbin Gray.
  • The Guidance Dept has 2 more job opportunities: Conrad's Tire Express in Mayfield and Lakewood is currently hiring for Tire Technician. No experience is needed as you will be trained in our state-of-the-art New Hire Facility. Starting wage is $9.00 hr. More information can be found at our website econrads.com. Auburn Career Center will be having a JOB FAIR, Thursday, May 5th from 2:30pm-5:00pm. If you are looking for summer employment, a full time or a part time job…… plan to attend.   • CRAVE Euclid’s Christian Student group invites you to Gospel Fest 2016 on Friday, May 6th at 2:30 in the Little Theater. Come enjoy praise music, poetry, and dance. Guest poet - Chris Webb - will be sharing his awesome talent. If you have a positive message to share through music, song, spoken word, or dance be sure to join in during the open mic time! Refreshments will be provided! We hope you can all join us for this inspirational praise event! Again, that’s Friday, May 6th at 2:30 in the Little Theater.

04/22/16 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where students are standing up together and taking control of their future!  Today is Friday, April 21st  I’m (name),
  • The Lady Panthers Ran against Shaker Hts yesterday and came away with a 76-51 win. Overall in the meet there were almost 40 personal records. The ladies who had 2 personal records or better were Caisja Chandler, Deja Bruce, Chalara Sutton, Lamiyja Jernigan, Taraeja Williams, Courtney Rice, Aniya Crump, Adaya Lemon, Lance Worley, Mychal Pearson, Briana Goldsmith, Tereza Smith, Briana Webster, Alana Watkins and Shanice Woods. The Ladies will run tomorrow at Westerville South in Columbus Ohio.
  • The Euclid High School Boys Tracks And Field team dominated the competition 100-29 Wednesday facing conference opponent Shaker High School. Placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the 100m were Des White (10.84), Ronald Lee(10.94), and ArQuon Bush. Also finishing 1, 2, & 3 were Calel Christian, Ron Lee and Donavon Patterson in the 200m yard dash. Other 1, 2, & 3 finishers were Spencer Roberts, Shamar Rhodes and Cornal Gibson in shot put and Cornal Gibson, Nick Abercrombie, Shamar Rhodes in the Discus. Other notable performances include: Brian Tillman and Tyrese jones placing 1 & 2 in the 400m dash, Isiah Claytor was 1st in the high jump, Jerrod Richardson placed 1st in the 110 High Hurdles and 300 meter run, De'Quan Williams was 1st in the long jump and 1st in the 800 meter run. Our 4x800, 4x200, 4x100, and 4x400 relay teams also finished in first place. Aaron Berry placed 3rd in the high jump, Kam Shelton 2nd in the 800, Duran Thomas 2nd in the 2 mile, Jaren Gilliam 3rd in 2 mile, Special shot out to the freshman 4x1 and 4x4 for there 2nd place performances. Our next meet is at Cleveland Heights High School on Saturday, April 23rd at 9am.
  • This announcement is for all the members of this year's Mediation Team. We will be having an important "All-Mediators" Meeting this Tuesday right after school in the Panther PAD. If you can't make the meeting, be sure and see Ms. McDonnell about it. See You There!

  • Juniors please plan on attending college night on Tuesday, April 26th at 7:00pm in the Little Theater. Learn about the college planning process, ACT & SAT testing, scholarship programs available, the Montgomery G.I. Bill and NCAA clearinghouse guidelines. This is a very informative night and will help get you started in preparation for your Senior year. We look forward to seeing you at 7:00pm April 26th.

04/20/16 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where students are standing up together and taking control of their future!  Today is Wednesday, April 20th.
  • IE today is for 3rd period.
  • Attention Key Club Members: Please make sure to attend tomorrow's meeting at 2:45.  We will be talking about the Jamboree and the Karaoke Party.  Remember, in order to attend the Karaoke Party, a permission slip must be filled out.  Please go to room 121 to pick up your permission slip form.
  • The SAVE Environmental club will have a spring hike to North Chagrin Reservation tomorrow.  We will meet at 2pm in room 102 (planetarium). Please come dressed for the weather and bring something to drink. If interested, see Mr. Young or Mrs. Spivey for a permission slip.

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where students are standing up together and taking control of their future!  Today is Tuesday, April 19th.

  • Congratulations to the varsity softball team for their 2-0 victory over Strongsville yesterday. The lady panthers were fueled by superb pitching from Faith Spivey and got key hits from Kaitlynn Wheeler and Katelyn Kato.

04/18/16 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where students are standing up together and taking control of their future!  Today is Monday, April 18th.
  • The Lady Panthers Track Team traveled to the Glenoak Invitational this past Saturday and came in 5th place out of 20 teams with a total of 47 points. Paving the way with her spectacular performances was Cassia Chandler. Cassia was 2nd in the 100 meter dash at 12.38, 2nd in the 200 meter dash at 25.07 and she was also part of the 2nd place 4 x 200 relay and 4 x 100 relay. The other ladies that ran on those relays were Lamiyja Jernigan, Chalara Sutton an Deja Bruce. Deja Bruce also came in 2nd place in the long jump with a personal best 17 feet. Other really good performances were put in by Jada Gilliam 12:51 in the 3200 and 6:06 in the 1600, Rahshayla Perry 63.15 in the 400, Ta'Raeja Williams 63 split in the 4 x 4, Dajana Mason 63 split in the 4 x 4, Next up both the boys and girls run this Wednesday at Shaker Hts.
  • The Euclid High School Boy's Track team ran past the competition at the Glenoak Invitational this past Saturday. Spectators saw history take place for Euclid High School, along with other strong performances. Placing 1st and breaking a 20 year old EHS record, as well as, a stadium and meet record in the 4x200 meter relay were Brian Tillman, Ronald Lee, Desmond white, and ArQuon Bush running a time of 128.84. The 4x400 meter relay team of Brian Tillman, Darien Sanders, Dequan Williams, and Tyrese Jones set a meet record with a time 3:26. Additional notable performances include an 8th place finish by the 4x800 relay team of Kishuan Carroll Kameron Shelton, Melvin Lyons and Dequan Williams. Brian Tillman finished 4th in the 100m dash, Dequan Williams finished 5th in the 400m dash, Cornal Gibson placed 7th in the Discus. Our next meet is Wednesday April 20 at Shaker Heights High School.
  • This is a reminder to any of you who are thinking about becoming a Mediator. Be sure to turn in your application because we are going to begin our interviews very soon! You can turn in your applications at the Mediation Center located across from the Athletic Office in the Main Office Corridor.
  • Euclid High School’s Concert Band & Orchestra will present their annual Spring Concert Thur.  April 21 at 7:00pm in the high school Auditorium.  The concert will include the band performing music from the Lion King, Mozart’s Magic Flute, featuring flute soloist Danielle Barwick, as well as the orchestra‘s performance of Star Wars and a violin duet featuring Courtney Ritchey and Jane D’Arcy.  Admission for the evening concert is $3..See you Thursday APRIL 21st!
  • Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. Want to be a lifesaver?  The spring Student Council Blood Drive is on Tuesday, April 19th.  Student Council volunteers will be in the E-Room, cafeteria, and library to sign you up to save a life.  Signups will occur from Monday, April 11th through Monday, April 18th.   • Did you know...Blood cannot be manufactured – it can only come from generous donors. Want to be a life saver? The spring Student Council Blood Drive is on Tuesday, April 19th. Student Council volunteers will be in the E-Room, cafeteria, and library to sign you up to save a life. Signups will occur today through Monday, April 18th. Donors must be 16 years old to give blood. If you have any other questions, please see Mrs. Latessa in Room 296 or Mrs. Pollack in Room 263.

  • Attention Key Club: Please plan on meeting in room 121 today at 2:45 to discuss the upcoming Karaoke Party and other volunteer opportunities. If you need a permission slip for the karaoke party, please see Ms. Rosati in room 121.
  • The SAVE club will meet today after school in room 391. We will discuss and plan our spring activities, so come with your ideas. If you have any questions see Mr. Young or Mrs. Spivey.

  • The Lady Panthers Track Team ran yesterday against Strongsville and came away with a 87-50 loss. Although we suffered a defeat many great performances were still done in the meet. Jordan Hughes Pole Vaulted a personal best 7 feet 6 inches, Caisja Chandler won the 100 and 200, both our 4 x 200 and 4 x 100 relays took first place, Celina Vuyancih won the 800, Joann Felix ran a 67 in the 4 x 4 relay and Ta'Raeja Williams ran a 64.3 in the 4 x 4 relay. All together there were 38 personal best in the meet. Both the boys and the girls run this Saturday down at the Glenoak Invitational and 9am.
  • The Euclid high school boys track team competed well in a near loss 58-79, Wednesday facing conference opponent Strongsville high school. We had some pretty impressive finishes. Placing 1st,2nd, and 3rd in the 100m were Brian Tillman, Ronald Lee, and ArQuon Bush. Also top three in the 200m yard dash Brian Tillman, ArQuon Bush, and Calel Christian. Isiah Claytor was 1st in the high jump. Spencer Roberts 1st in shot put. Cornell Gibson was 1st in Discus. In the Relays: 4x200 1st place time of 1:31.4 run by Arquon Bush, Des white, Kalel Christian and Ron Lee & 4x100 1st place time of 44.9 run by Ron Lee, Aaron Berry, Brian Tilman, Calel Christian. Other notable places: 4x400 2nd place time of 3:34, 4x800 2nd place of 9:04, Jerrod Richardson placed 2nd in the 110HH and 300m, De'Quan Williams 2nd in long jump, Cornel Gibson 2nd in shot put. Great effort tracksters.

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where students are standing up together and taking control of their future!  Today is Monday, April 11th.  Welcome to the Morning Show.
  • The Varsity Chorale Audition Meeting has been rescheduled for tomorrow.  The meeting will take place in the choir room from 2:30-3:00pm. Bring a friend and see what Varsity Chorale is about!  See Mrs. Ross or Mr. Thorndike with questions.
  • Attention members of Educators Rising: our next meeting is tomorrow at 2:35 in Room 249.  See Mrs Wright if you have any questions.
  • Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. Want to be a lifesaver?  The spring Student Council Blood Drive is on Tuesday, April 19th.  Student Council volunteers will be in the E-Room, cafeteria, and library to sign you up to save a life.  Signups will occur from Monday, April 11th through Monday, April 18th.   • Although the girls track team came away with a 78-57 loss to Medina there were many great performances put on in the track and the field.   • High School Juniors and Seniors: Join Northeast Ohio Credit Unions at the Mad City Money competition on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 10 am to noon at Lakeland Community College.  Join us for a fun day of competition and a chance to win $9,000 in scholarship money!  Mad City Money is a team game of smart money management similar to the game, "Life," where students take on the role of an adult in futuristic Mad City.  The team staying closest to, or besting, its collective budget wins.  Teams will compete for $9,000 in cash scholarships.

04/06/16 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where students are standing up together and taking control of their future!  Today is Wedneday, April 6th.
  • IE today is for 3rd Period.
  • Attention Art Club!  There will be a meeting today after school in room 199.  Hope to see you there!
  • Attention Student Council members!  If you were interested in working the Spring Blood Drive, you need to attend today's meeting in Room 296 at 2:30 p.m.  We will be meeting with our Red Cross representative.  If you have any questions or can't make the meeting, you must see Mrs. Pollack or Mrs. Latessa before the meeting.
  • The results from the final Ohio Math League are in.  Kennedy Johnson had the highest score.  Richard Drennon was second.  Ethan Clark was third.  Over all for the year, Justin Fike finished in 5th place.  Peter Powell was 4th.  Eddie Conger was third, and the highest placing senior.  Luke Johnson finished second, and was the highest placing freshman. Kennedy Johnson is the 2016 Euclid High School Ohio Math League Champion.  Make sure to congratulate Kennedy when you see her.
