05/19/16 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where students are standing up together and taking control of their future.  Today is Thurday, May 19th.
  • Just a reminder that IE today is for 4th period.
  • Breakfast will be served during finals at its normal time.  Lunch will be served from 10:15 until 11:30 for students and staff during finals.
  • The Junior class is selling select Euclid clothing during lunch today.  Prices range from $10 to $18.
  • Any girl interested in participating in the Lady Panther summer basketball league or traveling to colleges for shoot-outs needs to attend a mandatory meeting tomorrow immediately following your 4th period exam.  The meeting will take place in the West Gym and only take 10 minutes.  If you do not have a 4th period exam then you will need to attend the mandatory meeting on Monday following your 5th period exam.  Any questions please stop by and see Coach Phillips in room 293.
  • Get ready for summer reading!  That is right!  This summer all incoming 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will be required to read a book over the summer for their Social Studies class.  Details will be discussed by your Social Studies teachers so get ready for some great books this summer!

  • Just a reminder that IE today is for 3rd period.

  • Attention all Big Show Cast, Crew, and Pit Members...There will be a short meeting today from 2:30-3:00pm in the choir room to discuss the Dazzle Awards.  Please make plans to attend this meeting.  See Mrs. Ross or Mr. Thorndike with any questions.
  • Hey Mediators! This is a reminder to all new and regular Mediators.  Our special "All Mediators Meeting will be TODAY after school.  We will not be in the PAD because it is not available so come to Room 107 right after school.

  • The Lady Panthers Track Team ran at the GCC Championships this past Friday and came in 5th place out of 8 teams with 64.5 points. Girls who came in 8th place or better were: 4 x 800 Meter Relay Celina Vuyancih, Dajana Mason, Jada Gilliam and Hope Mocadlo 11:30 (8th Place), Pole Vault Jordan Hughes 8 feet (6th Place), 400 Meter Dash Taraeja Williams 62.4 (6th Place), High Jump Joann Felix 5 feet 1 inch (5th Place), High Jump Tiffany Moore 5 feet 4 inches (4th Place), 100 Meter Hurdles Alanna Watkins 16.38 (4th Place), 4 x 400 Meter Relay Chalara Sutton, Dayana Mason, Lamyja Jernigan and Rahshayla Perry 4:12 (3rd Place), 4 x 200 Meter Relay Chalara Sutton, Rahshayla Perry, Lamyja Jernigan and Caisja Chandler 1:43.77 (2nd Place), 4 x 100 Meter Relay Chalara Sutton, Rahshayla Perry, Lamyja Jernigan and Caisja Chandler 49.08 (1st Place), 100 Meter Dash Caisja Chandler 12.38 (1st Place), 200 Meter Dash Caisja Chandler 24.86 (1st Place). The boys and the girls will run this Wednesday and Friday 4pm at Districts Mayfield High School.

  • Looking forward to summer but not sure how to spend all those long days ahead of you?  The Social Studies Department has the answer!  Get ready for summer reading!  That is right!  This summer all incoming 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will be required to read a book over the summer for their Social Studies class.  You will read the book over the summer and then take a test over it in the first week of next school year.  Details will be discussed by your Social Studies teachers so get ready for some great books this summer!

  • Congratulations to the Varsity Softball team for their 6 to 1 win over Strongsville yesterday.  It was a great team effort.  The lady panthers will be back in action today at Mentor and will be playing their last home game Friday versus cross town rival VASJ.  Come out and support the team!
  • The Lady Panthers ran yesterday at the 1st day of the GCC League Meet.  Only 3 events were run as finals and the rest were run as a preliminary to make it into the finals on Friday.  Tiffany Moore High jumped 5 feet 4 inches for 4th place and Joann Felix High Jumped 5 feet 1 inch good enough for 5th.  The 4 x 800 Relay of Celina Vuyancih, Jada Gilliam, Dajana Mason and Hope Mocadlo were 8th place.  In the Shot Put Aramata Fofana 30 feet 7 inches and Janai Flowers 28 feet 9 inches both threw personal records for the season.  The Meet will conclude on Friday with Field Events at 4pm and running events at 6:30...

  • Attention everyone! Yearbooks are in!  Come secure your copy today.  If you ordered one or would like to purchase one for $50 cash, please see Mrs. Gaul in room 298 ASAP.  Supplies are limited!
  • Seniors - Prom is upon us!  Today is the LAST day to purchase Prom tickets and the cost is $100 per person.  You must have all fees paid and contracts completed before purchasing a ticket from the treasurer.
  • Also, to be approved to buy Prom tickets you must have all library fees paid and books returned. When the library is closed for testing, please come to room 295 through the hallway door to pay library fees and return books.
  • CRAVE Euclid’s Christian Student group invites you to Gospel Fest 2016 today at 2:30 in the Little Theater.  Refreshments will be provided!  We hope you can all join us today for this inspirational praise event!
  • Seniors, if you have already received notification that you've been accepted to college or you have been awarded scholarship money bring your acceptance letters to Mrs. Payne in the Guidance Dept. You will have your photo taken to hang in the E-Room and a copy of your acceptance letter will be given to your Counselor. The deadline to submit all college and/or scholarship acceptance letters is today.
  • The Euclid Track Relays are today at 3pm in the football stadium.  There will be a total of 24 teams. Please come out and show your support.  Cost for students is $4 and adults $6.

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where students are standing up together and taking control of their future!  Happy Cinco de Mayo
  • Attention seniors, just a reminder that to be approved to buy Prom tickets you must have all school and library fees paid and books returned. When the library is closed for testing, please come to room 295 through the hallway door to pay library fees and return books.
  • The last meeting for the National Honor Society will be today at 2:30 in room 130.  The announcement from Monday was wrong.  Sorry for the confusion.  See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions.
  • Attention Key Club Members: Please, please, please plan on attending our last Key Club meeting of the year today at 2:45 in room 121.  We will be wrapping the year up by discussing upcoming events in May and plans for next year.   Hope to see you there!
  • Attention SAVE Club. A reminder that today we will have our Cinco De Mayo field trip to Sims Park for a Mexican food picnic.  We will leave from the planetarium at 2:30pm.  See Mr. Young or Mrs. Spivey if you have any questions.

  • Attention seniors. Friday, May 6th is the last to buy prom tickets. To be approved to buy tickets, you must have all school and library fees paid and books returned. When the library is closed for testing, please come to room 295 through the hallway door to pay library fees and return books.
  • The Marching Band will perform at the All City Band Concert tomorrow evening, May 3 at 7pm in the East Gym. Admission is FREE and all are invited to attend. Band Members should report at 5:45pm.
  • The last meeting of the National Honor Society will be Tuesday May 3 at 2:30 in room 230.  We will select our new officers.  See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions.
  • Attention All Students Who Will Be New Members Of The 2016-2017 Euclid High School Marching Band, The Euclid Band & Orchestra Parent Club Will Host An Important Meeting In The Euclid High School Little Theater At 7pm On Wed. Auburn Career Center will be having a JOB FAIR, Thursday, May 5th from 2:30pm-5:00pm. If you are looking for summer employment, a full time or a part time job…… plan to attend.   • The Lady Panthers Track Team ran this past Friday night at the Harvey Invitational. The girls came in 2nd place out of 9 teams with 109 pts.. Overall there were 21 medal winners and another 5 4th through 6th place winners that added to the teams great finish. Highlights of the meet were: Cassia Chandler was 1st place in the 100, 200 4 x 100 and 4 x 200, Lamina Jernigan was 1st place in the 4 x 100, 4 x 200 and 4 x 400, Chalara Sutton was 1st place in the 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 and 5th place in the 200, Deja Bruce was 1st place in the 4 x 100, 4 x 200, 3rd place LJ and 6th place 100, Rahshayla Perry 1st place 400 and 4 x 400, Ta'Reaeja Williams 1st place 4 x 400 and 3rd place 400, Alanna Watkins 3rd place 100 Hurdles and 6th place 300 Hurdles, Tiffany Moore 1st Place High Jump, Joann Felix 2nd Place High Jump, Jana Flowers 5th place Shot Put. Next up the boys and girls run Wednesday at Mentor and Euclid 24 Team Relays are Friday at 3pm.
