10/03/16 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Monday, October 3rd.
  • Calling all writers, photographers, designers and cartoonists!  The Survey, EHS' student newspaper, will begin holding meetings on Tuesday, Oct. 4th at 3:30 in room 298.  Come see what the club is all about and bring a friend!  All students, 8th through 12th grade are invited to join.  See you there!
  • The first meeting of the National Honor Society will be Tuesday Oct 4 at 2:30 in room 342.  See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions.
  • The Academic Challenge Club will meet this Tuesday Oct 4th at 2:30 in Room 337.  Anyone interested in competing on the team or being on the Academic Challenge TV show should attend.
  • Attention Student Council members! There will be a meeting on Wednesday, October 5 at 2:30 p.m. in Room 296.  We will be discussing our upcoming blood drive.  Please see Mrs. Pollack in Rom 263 or Mrs. Latessa in Room 296 if you have any questions.
  • Seniors! It's not too late to join the Senior Class Cabinet!  We have a meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 6 at 2:30 pm in Room 296.  We will be discussing senior shirts, fundraisers, and prom ideas.  See Mrs. Latessa in Room 296 with questions.
  • Attention SAVE Environmental Club. We will meet this Thursday, October 6th in the planetarium from 2:30 to 3:30.   • Euclid Public Library firmly believes that it is never too early to begin planning for your future. On Fridays, they welcome college recruiters and admissions coordinators in the teen area to provide guidance and information about pursuing your education after high school.  Today, the library welcomes The Cleveland Institute of Art, Cleveland State University, The President’s Council Foundation, and Notre Dame College to provide a free program that works with students to help prepare them for college.  Go see Mr. Ray in the teen section if you’re interested.

  • If you are looking for a great group to join where you can meet new people and have numerous opportunities to help the community, then The Euclid Key Club is the group for you!  Our first key club meeting will be today at 2:45 in room 223.  See Mrs. Rosati-Kudej in room 223 if you need any further information.
  • Attention Art Club Members - There will be a meeting after school today in room 199. We will be getting ready for tonight’s Stand Up parade.

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Wednesday, September 28th.
  • IE today is for 3rd period.
  • Voting for Homecoming Queen, King, and Princess has begun.  Students can cast their vote using the Chromebooks and clicking the link on the bottom of the left column on the Sstudent Homepage.
  • All members of the marching band, homecoming court, and NJROTC Honor Guard are excused from 3rd period IE today for Homecoming Practice.  Please report to the marching band practice parking lot at 2pm. Practice will end at 4pm.
  • Homecoming Picture Packets can be picked up in the library today through Friday.
  • If you are looking for a great group to join where you can meet new people and have numerous opportunities to help the community, then The Euclid Key Club is the group for you!   • Last night the 8th grade blue volleyball team played a competitive match against Garfield Middle School.  We saw great net play by Lori Way, Katie Stephens, and Emily Wright, great serving by Destiny White, G G Tungmirou and Tawny Froom, and great passing by Trenyce Wells, Christina Sataritas, and Cassandra Johnson.  The girls play Shaker Thursday at Shaker.  Wish them luck!
  • Attention Youth Opportunities Unlimited JOG members. This is a reminder that our Welcome Celebration is today in the Panther’s Pad off the cafeteria. Please meet in the Pad immediately after school to help set up. The celebration will begin at 3:00pm.
  • Just a reminder that RTA has increased the price for student rate bus tickets, which are sold in the E room and the main office.   The new prices are; 1-Trip - $1.75 (formerly $1.50), 2-Trip - $3.50, and 5-Trip - $8.75.  This is an additional $2.50 per week for students who ride the bus both ways for all days of the week.
  • Homecoming Contracts are now available in each of the unit offices and Homecoming tickets can be purchased at the ticket office by the E-room from 9:30a -12:30a and 1:30a-3:30a.  The price is $25 per ticket.

  • Attention anyone interested in playing baseball this spring:  Thursday, September 29th, any returning baseball player (who is not a fall athlete) or anyone interested in playing baseball this spring should be at the Shore Cultural Center for the Homecoming parade by 5:40 pm.  Starting Saturday, Oct. 1st, there will be open hitting sessions lead by older players from 10:30 am- 12pm.  Saturday, September 29th, Euclid Baseball will host a youth hitting clinic on the game field from 11am -1pm.

  • Homecoming Court applications are due to Mrs. Latessa in Room 296 by 2:30 p.m. today.
  • Attention all EHS students! The Art Club would like to wish everyone a very peaceful International Day of Peace! To celebrate, please consider doing at least one act of kindness today. Together we can make our world a better place! Please watch how two teenagers from Chicago plan to celebrate this amazing day.

  • Please join us for a Multicultural Fair sponsored by the EHS Culture Club on Wednesday (TODAY) at the Euclid Public Library from 3 pm to 4:30 pm. We will have various cultural information and speakers available. See you there!
  • Attention 8th grade volleyball players: practice today will start promptly at 2:35 today. You should be dressed, in the gym, and ready to begin at 2:35.
  • Girls Basketball meeting. Any girl interested in playing basketball this year is welcome to attend an informational meeting today at 2:35 in the E-Room. Grades 8-12 are welcome to sign up. If you have any questions please see Coach Bowers in room103.

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Tuesday, September 20th
  • The 8th grade Euclid Blue volleyball team played a great match against Brunswick last night.  Wish the girls luck as they take on Mentor Memorial tonight in Mentor.
  • To stay in the library during IE, you must sign up in the library in advance on the day you want to stay.  You must then report to IE on time and stay for the entire period.  Coming in late is considered a tardy, and leaving early is a cut.  As is the case any time you come to the library, you must sign in when you arrive.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Corfman or Ms. Mack.
  • Yearbook staff!  There will be an important meeting today at 2:30pm in Room 298.  See you there!  Still want to join yearbook? Come to the meeting today to see what it's all about!
  • Attention Juniors and Seniors!  Want to be a part of EHS Royalty?  Homecoming Court applications can be picked up from Mrs. Latessa in Room 296.  Applications are due by Wednesday, September 21 at 2:30 p.m.
  • There will be a parent meeting today at 7:00 p.m. in the Little Theater, for all 8th graders interested in attending the Washington D.C. trip this year.

  • A shout out to our very own Panther Marching Band on an outstanding performance at The Shaw High School Battle of The Bands Saturday Night!  Special congratulations to our dance team and majorettes who earned an overall score of 92!  Thanks to all for representing our school and community so well!

  • There will be a Student Council meeting on Wednesday, September 21 at 2:30 p.m. in Room 296. We will be signing up volunteers for all Homecoming events and finish our Spirit Week planning. If you can't make the meeting, please see Mrs. Latessa in Room 296 or Mrs. Pollack in Room 263.
  • A reminder to all Marching Band members: There will be a kick off meeting for our Spring Break trip to Disney World Wednesday, September 21st evening at 7pm in the band room.

  • To stay in the library during IE, you must sign up in the library in advance on the day you want to stay.  You must then report to IE on time and stay for the entire period.  Coming in late is considered a tardy, and leaving early is a cut.  As is the case any time you come to the library, you must sign in when you arrive.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Corfman or Ms. Mack.

  • The 8th Grade Euclid Blue volleyball players played a great match against Mentor Memorial last night by competing in three games. During the match, the girls had incredible serves, net play, and digs. Ladies - practice today will start at 2:35. You must be in the gym and dressed by 2:35.

  • The girls tennis team will take on Strongsville High tonight at Central Middle School.  Match starts at 4:00 pm. Come out and cheer us on. 
  • There will be a parent meeting on Tuesday September 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the Little Theater, for all 8th graders interested in attending the Washington D.C. trip this year.
  • Attention yearbook staff: There is a meeting today, Tuesday September 13th at 2:40 in Room 298. Please see Mrs. Valtman or Mrs. Gaul if you have questions. 
  • A reminder to all members of the marching band to report to the band room 2nd period today for the band field trip to Central.  All band members are excused 2nd through 5th period today for the field trip.  Dress is summer uniform

09/12/16 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Monday, September 12th 
  • There will be an informational meeting for all those students who are interested in participating in Fall play this year today at 2:30.  The meeting will go over audition guidelines, along with details about the play and the schedule for rehearsals and the production.  Guides will be available in the library for students to read prior to the meeting.

  • Congratulations to this week’s Activity Spotlight Culture Club!  Look for the Spotlight posters around the building, and congratulate those members listed.

  • Also, the Y.O.U Jobs for Ohio’s Graduates program is now accepting students for this school year.  The program is looking for 35 students to be in a work readiness program that meets 2 days a week after school.  Even if you have other commitments after school, the program can work around your schedule.  If you are willing to commit to the program you are guaranteed a Y.O.U summer job.  If you are interested or have any questions please see Ms. Robinson in room 345.
