will also be a 3-point contest, cost to participate is $1. The last day to enter a team is Wed. Feb. 1st.

standing up with Panther PRIDE. Today is Thursday, January 26th,
2017!

The Lady Panthers Track Team ran
yesterday in their Buckeye League Meet at Spire. Many great performances were
put in on the track and in the field events. Jordan Hughes Pole Vaulted 8 feet
2nd place, Joann Felix High Jump 5 feet 1 inch for 1st place and 8th in state
right now, Caisja Chandler ran 25.24 in the 200 1st place and currently 3rd
fastest time in the state right now. Both our 4 x 200 and 4 x 400 Relays of
Kristan Ross, Rahshayla Perry, Chalara Sutton, Lamyja Jernigan And Caisja
Chandler came in 1st place and are both currently in the top 5 in the state.
Other personal best performances were put in by Olivia Stovall, Ariane
Shackelford, Courtney Rice, Adaya Lemon and Mikayla Boddie.

- The results for the January Ohio Math
League contest are in. Congratulations to Connor Hoffman for finishing in first
place. Justin Fike was second. Jeremy Morton was third. Kennedy Johnson and
Abbie Dickerson tied for fourth. For the year Connor Hoffman is in first with
191 points. Luke Johnson is in second with 157 points. Peter Powell is in third
with 140 points. Serena Hollis is in fourth with 133 points.

Good morning Euclid High School, where we are
standing up with Panther PRIDE. Today is Thursday, January 19th,
2017!
- Coach Ingram would like to congratulate
8th grader Audrey Zorman for setting a personal record last night in the 400
freestyle by swimming 16 lengths of the pool in 5 minutes and 20 seconds. Audrey took first place in both her individual
events scoring a total of 14 points for the team and was the top scorer for the
girls. Shawn Mason and Na'Im
Hobson took top points for the boys with 9 points apiece. Christina Saterides and Katie Stephens each
scored 8.5 points. The team would also
like to thank Dr. Smilak and Mrs. Hardaway for coming out last night to show
their support as we faced the Westlake Waves.

Euclid High School’s
Concert Band will host the annual Dr. Martin Luther King District Celebration
Concert tonight at 7:00pm in the Euclid High School Auditorium. The concert will open with a performance of
“Lift Every Voice and Sing” and end with Dr. King’s famous speech “I Have A
Dream” as the band plays “The Civil War.” Admission to the Concert is FREE!
- If there are any 8th graders that are
new to EHS, and are interested in the Washington D.C. trip. Please see Mrs. Biehl in room 127 by this
Friday for an informational packet.

Annual "Flash in Time" Black History Program tomorrow at 3p.m. in the

The new library lunch procedure starts
today. There is a five minute period of
time during each lunch period for you to get to the library or to lunch. Fourth period is 10:45-10:50, fifth is
11:40-11:45, and sixth is 12:35-12:40. If
you arrive early or late or are in the hall outside of those times, you will
receive a tardy slip. Please see Mr.
Corfman or Ms. Mack if you have any questions.
- Attention
Students! Do you have a talent for

- Even though the 8th grade swim team
lost to Mentor yesterday, Coach Ingram was proud of each of the swimmer's
effort, dedication and contribution. Our
top scorers were Audrey Zorman 9 points, Christina Saterides 5 points, Antwon
Eason 7.5 points and Jerome Nash and Christopher Hill each with 4.5 points. Way to go swimmers.

It's time to renew your
library pass for 2017 if you haven't done it already. Please remember that you
must have both your school ID and an up-to-date library pass to get to the

routine/audition piece. Sign-up sheet
will be located outside of Ms. Russo/Ms. Flower’s office on the first floor
near the 8th grade unit office. This
show is a decades show where students will perform pieces such as the Temptations,
New Edition, TLC, Michael Jackson, Langston Hughes, etc. Any questions, please see Ms. Flowers. Don't
forget to sign up. This will be the only
audition held for the show that will be on Friday, Feb. 24th.
Meetings:
- There will be a Stand UP
meeting on Tuesday January 10th at 2:40 in room 263. Please plan on attending to discuss Black
History Month and Stand UP week. If you

It's time to renew your library pass for 2017 if you haven't done it
already. Please remember that you must have both your school ID and an
up-to-date library pass to get to the library during lunch. Come see Mr. Corfman or Ms. Mack to get your
pass updated.

The result for the latest edition of the Ohio Math League Contest are in.
Congratulations to Serena Hollis for earning the top score. Peter Powell was
second, and Luke Johnson finished third. Jeremy Morton was again the highest
placing 10 grader. For the year Connor Hoffman remains in first place with Luke
Johnson second, Peter Powell third, Serena Hollis fourth, and Hope Mocadlo
fifth. This was the highest scoring contest of the year.

- Culture Club is sponsoring a speaker at the Euclid
Public Library today (Wednesday January 4th) at 3 pm on a mentoring program
that is free to students of incarcerated parents. The Amachi program can
