  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Monday, April 24th. 
  • Attention all students!  If you are interested in becoming a student-aide with the athletics trainers at Euclid High School, please stop in to the athletics office to get more information!
  • Attention students: the yearbooks have arrived.  If you have pre-ordered a yearbook, please pick it up in Room 292 after school today.  You must bring a photo ID... again you must have a photo ID.  If you have not ordered a yearbook, but would still like to get one, we have extra copies available for purchase.  They are $50, you must pay in cash or money order, no checks are accepted.  Again, Room 292 after school with a photo ID to pick up your yearbook or purchase one!  See Mrs. Valtman with questions.
Meetings:
  • Senior Art Show Opening is tonight from 5-8pm & Tuesday during the day from 10-1:30pm.  Come and see all the great works these seniors have created!  Also, most of the artwork on display is for sale!
  • Attention CRAVE members: We WILL be having a meeting this Wednesday despite the testing!  Be sure to be there because we will begin planning our end of year picnic and we need your input!
  • Attention Seniors! Are you interested in a career in the trades? Many apprenticeships start at $13 per hour.  Sign up in the 12th grade office by Monday, May 1st to attend the meeting.

04/21/17 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Friday, April 21st, 2017.
  • The Middle School boys and girls track teams both won their meets yesterday against Hathaway Brown University Schools and Shaker Heights Middle schools.
Meetings:
  • All boys’ basketball players are required to report to the Little Theater TODAY at 2:00 PM for a mandatory meeting with the athletic administration.
  • Senior Art Show Opening is Monday Evening from 5-8pm & Tuesday during the day and lunch periods from 10-1:30pm.  Come and see all the great works these seniors have created!  Most of the artwork on display is for sale!
  • Attention all students interested in auditioning for the Varsity Chorale Show Choir.  The rehearsal for auditions is Monday, April 24 from 2:00-2:30pm in the choir room.  Please plan to attend this rehearsal so you can learn the audition song.  Auditions for VC will be held on Wednesday, April 26th and Thursday, April 27th from 2:30-6:00pm in the choir room.  If you are interested in auditioning please stop down to the choir room and see Mrs. Ross or Mr. Thorndike for information.

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Thursday, April 20th, 2017.

  • Congratulations to 8th grade tennis player Isaac Carter who won his doubles match 8 to 2 against Eastlake on Monday.
Meetings:
  • Attention Key Club Members: Please join us for our final meeting of the year on Thursday April 20th in room 223 at 2:45. We will be discussing our end of the year dinner and discussing any unfinished business. We will see you Thursday!
  • Attention all students interested in auditioning for the Varsity Chorale Show Choir.  The rehearsals for auditions are today from 2:30-3:00pm and Monday, April 24 from 2:00-2:30pm in the choir room.  Please plan to attend these rehearsals so Mrs. Ross and Mr. Thorndike can teach you the audition song.  Auditions for VC will be held on Wednesday, April 26th and Thursday, April 27th from 2:30-6:00pm in the choir room.  If you are interested in auditioning but did not attend last week's meeting, please stop down in the choir room and see Mrs. Ross or Mr. Thorndike for information.  We look forward to having a great audition for next year's group!
  • Euclid High School’s Concert Band & Orchestra will present their annual Spring Concert tonight at 7:00pm in the high school Auditorium. The concert will include the band performing Digital Prisms and Hope Springs Eternal with the orchestra ‘s performance of A Tribute to Michael Jackson and Palladio. The band concert will be presented 7th period today! All 7th period classes are invited to attend! Band members should report to the cafeteria 5th period for lunch and then to the stage 6th period for rehearsal today. Admission FOR THE EVENING CONCERT is $3.
  • The National Honor Society is going Downtown this Saturday for the MS Walk-a-thon. Please turn in your permission slip to Mr. Zucca.
Seniors:

  • Dave and Buster’s permission slips are now available in library and the 12th grade unit office.  Please bring your completed permission slip and $35 cash or money order to Mrs. Latessa in Room 296.  Permission slips and money are due no later than Friday, April 28.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Latessa in Room 296.
  • Prom Contracts are now available in the library and the 12th grade unit office.  Each Euclid Senior must complete their own contract (left side) and submit it to the 12th grade unit office for signatures.  Seniors bringing EHS underclassmen or a date from another school must complete the right side of their contract before submitting it to the 12th grade unit office for signatures.  Remember, you must have your emergency medical form on file, all fees (including library fines) paid in full, and be in good disciplinary standing.  
  • All prom tickets must be purchased from the treasurer, located in the E-Room.  Catch Early Bird prom tickets on sale April 24 through April 28 for only $90 per person.  The price includes admission to prom and after prom.

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Wednesday, April 19th, 2017.
  • IE today is for 3rd period.
  • Congratulations to Euclid High School Senior Tahja Santiago who has earned national recognition in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for 2017.  Tahja has been identified by a panel of creative professionals as one of the most talented young artists and writers in the nation.  This year more than 330,000 works of art and writing were submitted by students in grades 7-12 and less than 1% were recognized at the national level.  Tahja’s winning photomontage titled “Nobody’s Perfect” received a Gold Medal placing her within the top 1% of all submissions.  Her work will be on display in New York City where she has been invited to attend a ceremony at the world-famous Carnegie Hall.  Again, congratulations Tahja!
  • Congratulations to the winners of the 8th Grade Poetry Extravaganza! The winners on team Jaguar are: 1st place Nia Badley, 2nd place Chequonn Carter, and 3rd place Marcellus Ingram. The winners on team Cougar are: 1st place Shaheim Rose, 2nd place Zion Ross, and 3rd place Nakia Lett. The winners on team Leopard are: 1st place Jason Fisher, 2nd place Marnay Stewart, 3rd place Ronasia Wiley. The grand price winner is Akayla Middlebrooks. Students, please come to Ms. Henry's classroom (room 128) to collect your prize. Thank you to all teachers and students who participated in the Poetry Extravaganza voting!

  • Euclid High School’s Concert Band & Orchestra will present their annual Spring Concert Thursday, April 20th at 7:00pm in the high school Auditorium.  Hear the band perform Digital Prisms and Hope Springs Eternal and the orchestra will perform a tribute to Michael Jackson and Palladio.  There is a mandatory dress rehearsal for all band members on Wednesday evening from 5-6pm in the Auditorium.  Admission for the concert is $3.

  • Do you have school spirit? Are you all about teamwork? Then come join our team! Cheerleading tryouts will begin Monday, April 24th. Please visit the bulletin board outside of the athletic office for more information.

    Meetings:
  • Attention National Junior Honor Society! There is a meeting for NEW members only today after school in room 321.
  • There is an Educators Rising meeting at 2:30 in room 231 today.
  • Spring basketball open gym and skill training for Girls Basketball grades 8th through 11th will start this week at Arbor Elementary. Workouts will begin at 4:00 and end at 5:30 Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.  Schedule is posted outside of girl’s gym.
  • Attention SAVE Environmental Club.  The SAVE club will go on a hike to Chagrin River Park this Thursday immediately after school.  Meet in the planetarium and come dressed for the weather.  Pick up a permission slip from Mr. Young ASAP.  See Mr. Young or Mrs. Spivey if you have any questions.
  • Tonight is Junior College Night from 6:30-8:30pm in the Little Theater!  Juniors and their families are invited to attend to gain information from speakers presenting on planning for college, how to pay for college, taking the SAT and ACT, college-bound student athletes and NCAA requirements, and the military career options.  If you have questions regarding Junior College Night, please see Ms. Hunt in room 324 or Ms. Payne in room 232.

  • Attention seniors! The College Now Scholarship is now open.  If you have at least a 2.5 GPA and at least an 18 on your ACT, please come to the College Now office in Room 147 to learn more.
  • Join College Now on a campus tour at Cleveland State University.  This field trip is open to juniors and seniors who have a 2.5 or above GPA.  Please see College Now in Room 147 for a permission slip.
  • Attention all EHS athletes, the Booster Club Scholarships are now open for applications. Please pick up the guidelines for the scholarship in the athletics office. The completed package is due back to the Athletic Office by end of school day on April 7.
  • A reminder to all wrestlers that equipment is due immediately.  If you have not done so Please turn in as soon as possible.

The girls run this Saturday at the Lexington Invitational.

  • Attention Art Club Members: There will be a short Art Club Meeting today after school in room 199.
  • Seniors: The Kessel and Local Money Scholarship applications are due to your counselor by 2pm, this Friday, April 7th.  Late applications will NOT be accepted.  See your counselor with concerns or questions.  In addition, on Thursday April 6th, Mrs. Gonakis will be available in the Media Center during lunch periods to offer scholarship support.  Extra copies of scholarship applications will be available.
  • A reminder to all wrestlers that equipment is due immediately.  If you have not done so Please turn in as soon as possible.

04/04/17 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Tuesday, April 4th, 2017.
  • The results for the final Ohio Math League of the year are in.  Congratulations to Kennedy Johhson who scored 65 points.  This is the third highest score ever.  Just behind Kennedy was Connor Hoffman with 62 points which was the fourth highest score ever.  Connor finished with 308 points for the year and is the 2016/17 Champion. Serena Hollis scored enough points to make her the all time career leader with 498.  Thanks to all who participated this year.
Meetings:
  • The National Honor Society will meet today at 2:30 in room 342.  See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions.

04/03/17 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Monday, April 3rd, 2017.
  • Congratulations to team Jaguar who has been doing a great job with the 40 book challenge.  As a team, Jaguar has read 762 books.  That's an average of about 11 books per student!  Our top readers are Marcellus Ingram who read 36 books, Christina Sadarides who has read 31 books, Marshawn Parker who has read 29 books, Chequonn Carter and Andre Tillman who have each read 16 books.  Great job Team Jaguar!  Keep reading!
  • The Lady Panthers ran yesterday at the Collingwood Invitational and Junior Caisja Chandler stole the show.  She came home with 4 gold medals and the Meet MVP.  Caisja was 1st place 100 Meter Dash 12.28, 1st Place 200 Meter Dash 25.66 and also 1st Place on both sprint relays joined by Freshman Kristan Ross, Senior Lamyja Jernigan and Senior Chalara Sutton 4 x 100 51.02 and 4 x 200 1:46.7.  Other girls who received medals in the meet were Kristan Ross 200 Meter Dash, Joann Felix High Jump, Jordan Hughes Pole Vault and the 9/10 grade 4 x 100 Relay of Lance Worley, Raven Hall, Shazell Oliver and Courtney Rice.  Both the boys and girls run this Wednesday at Brunswick.
Meetings:
  • All 8th grade girls who plan to participate in softball need to meet in the little theater after school today to get practice information from the coach.
  • Attention all EHS athletes, the Booster Club Scholarships are now open for applications. Please pick up the guidelines for the scholarship in the athletics office. The completed package is due back to the Athletic Office by end of school day on April 7.
  • 9th and 10th graders who had Ms. Shamblen for 8th grade English.  If you still have your 8th grade autobiography project and are willing to share your project as an example for the current 8th graders, please drop it off to Ms. Shamblen in room 123 at any time.
  • Attention all students interested in auditioning for our high school Dance Team called The Pantherettes for the 2017-18 Marching Band Season.  The organizational meeting will be held tonight at 5:00pm in the Euclid High School Band Room.  Practices will run through Wed. April 12 and the audition will be held on Thur. April 13.  For more information, contact band director Ms. Tizzano in the high school band room.
