10/31/17 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Tuesday, October 31st.
  • Today’s class SHOUT Out! is from the Scotts to their 1st period class for achieving a 90% class average for the last unit test and to their 7th period class for achieving an 89% class average on the last unit test.  Fantastic job!
  • There will be no Student Council meeting today!  Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 14.
  • Attention Seniors! There will be a Class Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, November 1st at 2:20 p.m. in Room 296.  See Mrs. Latessa if you have any questions.
  • There will be a Girls High School Indoor Track Meeting this Thursday, Nov 2nd at 2:30 in the Cafeteria Pad. Any questions see Coach Nosse in the Boys Gym.
  • There will be an informational meeting for 9th -12th Graders interested in Wrestling this year on Thursday, November 2nd in room 107, right after school.
  • Attention 8th graders interested in joining swim team.  The first practice will be Monday, November 6th from 3:00-4:30. You must have a current physical and be academically eligible to join the team.
  • The Giver will be presented this Saturday at 7:30 and Sunday at 2:30.  Please come see a show that challenges the norms in society and the individual strength to overcome adversity for good.  The cast and crew have dedicated many hours to prepare for our fall production of the Giver.  Please come check it out this Saturday and Sunday.  Mrs. Walsh-Hilf has tickets available for purchase in room 192.  Don't get shut out.  Tickets are 5.00, and will also be available at the door.
  • Culture Club will be sponsoring a Multicultural Fair at Euclid Library November 15th from 3 pm to 4:30pm.  If any staff or student is interested in having a table highlighting their culture please contact Ms. Russo in Room 147.

10/30/17 Announcemnets

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Monday, October 30th
  • Today’s class SHOUT Out! is from Mr. Minnich to his 3rd Period class for having over 90% completion and quality on their very first week of Mem-bean! Keep it up!  And from Mrs. Ross to Forté Choir on their first performance of the year at the Sports Hall of Fame Celebration! You were amazing and Mrs. Ross is so proud!
  • This Thanksgiving, let’s take some time to give back and make a difference. The African-American Achievement Girl’s Group is hosting a Turkey Day Food Drive. Beginning Today, Monday, October 30, 2017, students are asked to bring items into their homeroom classes. Homeroom teachers you should've received a list in your mailboxes. Please take some time to review the items with your students. Desired items include: Canned green beans, Canned corn, Canned yams, Canned cranberry sauce, Creamed Soups (mushroom, chicken, or celery), Boxed stuffing mix, Instant Potatoes (boxes or packages), Macaroni & Cheese, Gravy mix (jar or packaged), Turkey or Chicken, Cake mix, and Icing. Remember, this is a competition and the homeroom with the most donations will be awarded a Chick-fil-a breakfast. If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Davis (259) or Dr. Mines (371). Let’s see how many boxes we can donate from EHS and the Girls’ AAA!

  • Today’s class SHOUT Out! is from Mr. Cleaver to his 1st and 2nd Period classes for 100% passage of Unit 4 Test on Modern Africa!  Great work.
  • The Marching Band will march through the hallways during the last 20 minutes of 7th period today as a spirit event for tonight’s game against Shaker!
  • This Thanksgiving, let’s take some time to give back and make a difference. The African-American Achievement Girl’s Group is hosting a Turkey Day Food Drive. Beginning Monday, October 30, students are asked to bring in items to their homeroom classes. Homeroom teachers, fliers detailing the drive and the desired items will be in your mailboxes by the end of today. The homeroom with the most donations by November 17, will be awarded a Chick-Fil-A breakfast on November 21. Let’s see how many boxes we can donate from EHS and the Girls’ AAA!

  • Today’s class SHOUT Outs! are from Ms. Reilly to her 2nd period class for showing great respect to themselves and their classmates, through small group instruction, while working with responsibility and integrity, as they competed in a mathematics relay race to solve solutions.  All students in the classroom earned a ticket for their hard work.  And from Mrs. Walsh-Hilf to her 7th period class for always being so helpful.  They participate in class and complete their work.  She is very proud of all of their accomplishments.
  • It's time to be a hero in disguise! EHS Student Council will be sponsoring our first Blood Drive of the school year on Tuesday, October 24. If you are interested in signing up to donate, Student Council representatives will be in the E-Room today during all lunch periods.   • Today’s class SHOUT Outs! are from Mrs. Schossler and Ms. Boyd to their 1st Period class.  Each day, they arrive ready to tackle any work with a positive and pleasant approach. Because of them, we all start the day in a great way.   And from Mrs. Haman to her 1st period class.  They have worked really hard and diligently, on their diagnostic assessment, this week.
  • The results for the first contest of the Ohio Math League are in. Congratulations to Jaime Geiger and Alex Bowman for tying for first place with a score of 50 points. Peter Powell was in third place with 43 points. Luke Johnson and Hope Mocadlo scored 42. Austin Ortiz scored 41. The next contest will be November 14. See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions.
  • Attention all students planning to attend the football game at Mentor on Friday night! Come and get your ticket early for a lower price of $4.00 today in the athletics office. Tickets are available from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM today.

  • Today’s class SHOUT Outs! are from Ms.  Bowen to her 1st period class.  EVERY SINGLE STUDENT in this class period has earned a passing grade for the 1st quarter! Hooray for your hard work and dedication! I am very proud of you!  And from Ms. Lorko & Mrs. Chinchar to their 1st period class who they would like to commend their Crucible readers for being awesome reverends and witches and the rest of the class for always being flexible. Keep up the good work with the play!
  • Attention Art Club. There will be a meeting TODAY after school in room 199 to discuss the annual Halloween event. Hope to see you there!

10/16/17 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Monday, October 16th.  Welcome to Quarter 2.
  • Starting today, you will be REQUIRED to wear your ID daily.  If you lose or destroy your ID, you are responsible for going to security to purchase a new ID.  Wearing your ID allows everyone to know YOU BELONG here.  If there is a safety concern or you are injured, we need to be able to QUICKLY identify you.  You will ONLY be administered 3 temp IDs for the ENTIRE 2nd quarter.  Once all 3 temp IDs are used, you will be issued a disciplinary consequence.  Teachers, please be sure to check IDs everyday, during 1st period.
  • Today’s class SHOUT Outs! are from Mr. Young to his 4th and 6th period astronomy classes for helping each other calculate Kepler's third law last Thursday.  And from Mr. James to his 1st period class for making the first quarter a pleasure to open up his day.
  • Congratulations to team Jaguar who is rocking the 40 Book Challenge! As a team, they have read 336 books this year. The top 5 readers on the team are Krystian Mason, Jaiden Flowers, Jessica Specht, Brelann Basin, and Corvaughn Durden. If you see them in the halls today, tell them great gob! Keep up the great work Jaguars and keep reading!
  • Attention all 8th grade boys interested in trying out for the basketball team.  Tryouts will begin today in the East Gym from 3:00 to 5:00.  If you have any questions please see Coach James in Room 309.
  • The first contest of the Ohio Math League will be Tuesday, October 17 after school in room 342.  If you are good at math and like to solve problems, this activity is for you.  All students are welcome to participate.  See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions.

10/12/17 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Thursday, October 12th.
  • Students, Monday, October 16th, you will be REQUIRED to wear your ID daily.  If you have lost or destroyed your ID, you are responsible to go to security and purchase a new ID before Monday, October 16th.  Wearing your ID allows everyone to know YOU BELONG here.  If there is a safety concern or you are injured, we need to be able to QUICKLY identify you. This is the purpose of your ID.  If you do not wear your ID beginning Monday, October 16th, you will ONLY be administered 3 temp IDs for the ENTIRE 2nd quarter.  Once all 3 temp IDs are used, you will be issued a disciplinary consequence.  Teachers, please be sure to check IDs everyday, during 1st period.
  • It is ON TIME OCTOBER! The goal this month is to reduce the number of students arriving late to class.  For every period all students arrive on time, the teacher will enter the class into a drawing.  At the end of each of the next 4 weeks, one winning class will be drawn and that class will win a reward that involves delicious food! So don't be tardy to the party - get to class on time!
  • Attention Art Club! There will be NO meeting today.  Our next meeting will be next TUESDAY, October 17. See you there!
  • Attention EHS publications students.  There will be NO meeting today after school.  Please finish your stories on Google Docs and be ready to revise for next week.
  • The African-American Achievement Girls’ Group held its first meeting, yesterday, in the P.A.D.  Mrs. Davis and Dr. Mines would like to thank all the young ladies who attended.  A great time was had learning about the organization, each other, and what’s to come throughout the year.  Please keep an ear out for information regarding the next meeting.  If you were unable to attend yesterday, no worries, you’re welcomed to attend the next one.  If you have any questions, please stop by 259 or 371.  Again, all young ladies are invited to ‘Come and join the Discussion’ at our next meeting.
  • Educators Rising will meet Thursday right after school in room 231.  We have a speaker, so please be on time.

And from Ms. Garvey to her 2nd period class for being such a hard-working and respectful group.

  • Today’s class SHOUT Out! is from Mr. Gasper to his 4th period class. They did an excellent job working in groups during their scavenger hunt activity.  They worked collaboratively, followed all directions, and expectations. Great Job!

  • The EHS Drumline will lead a Peace March this Sunday, October 8th, sponsored by the City of Euclid.  The Peace March will start at City Hall at 4pm and end at Shore Cultural Center.  All are invited to attend!

  • Today’s class SHOUT Outs! are Mrs. Avcin to her 5th period class.  You worked very hard this week and sure know how to KAHOOT IT!  From Mrs. Doyle to her 3rd period class for working extremely hard completing a difficult story. They had great questions, were respectful of others when questions were asked, and helped clarify difficult words.  And from Mrs. Mellen to her 1st period class for being the best kids in the world! Thanks so much for being a part of her life.

  • Coach Ingram would like to thank the varsity girls tennis players: Brianna Reese, Brianna Abercrombie, Jaliyah Cole, Kaitlyn Harton, Jasmine Posey and Aireyanna Sharp for an amazing performance on Tuesday at the Sectional Tournament at Shaker High School.  The team had a tremendous season and they should be commended for their outstanding achievement through adversity.
