03/24/17 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Friday, March 24th, 2017.
Meetings:
  • GSA will not meet today and will resume after Spring break.
  • Attention all EHS athletes, the Booster Club Scholarships are now open for applications. Please pick up the guidelines for the scholarship in the athletics office. The completed package is due back to the Athletic Office by end of school day on April 7.
  • All 8th grade girls interested in playing softball and all boys in grades 9-12 interested in playing Tennis, please come to the athletic office today to sign up!
  • 9th and 10th graders who had Ms. Shamblen for 8th grade English.  If you still have your 8th grade autobiography project and are willing to share your project as an example for the current 8th graders, please drop it off to Ms. Shamblen in room 123 at any time.  Projects will be returned to you.
  • Students interested in auditioning for Euclid High School’s Dance Team, The Pantherettes, for the 2017-18 Marching Band Season.   There will be an organizational meeting on Monday, April 3rd at 5:00pm in the EHS Band Room.  Practices will run through Wed. April 12th and the audition will be held on Thur. April 13th.  For more information, contact band director Ms. Tizzano in the high school band room.

  • The library will be closed this week due to testing.
  • Congratulations to varsity swimmer, Andrius Kijauskas who has qualified for the USA Central Zone Sectional Championship next week in Indianapolis.  He will be competing in the 200 Freestyle, 200 Butterfly, 200 IM, and 400 IM.  Good luck, Andrius!
  • Attention 9th and 10th graders who had Ms. Shamblen for 8th grade English.  She has a special request for you.   • Middle School Tennis Team practice starts today at Central Middle School.  The bus will be leaving the high school promptly at 2:45.  You will need to get a ride home from Central at 4:30.  Any questions see Coach Ingram.

Meetings:
  • Track practice starts today for any interested 8th grade boy or girl. There will be a bus to pick you up at the EHS boys gym that will take you to Central Middle School. Please bring clothes to run in outside. Also, you can not get on the bus unless you have a valid physical form turned in. You will need to be picked up or walk home from Central Middle School after practice.
  • The next meeting Student Council meeting is tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. in Room 296.  Any Student Council member interested in working the Blood Drive must attend this meeting with our Red Cross rep.

03/06/17 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Monday, March 6th, 2017. 
  • Congratulate the Lady Panthers Track Team for an awesome job at the Indoor State Track Meet.  The 4 x 200 Meter Relay of Kristan Ross, Lamyja Jernigan, Chalara Sutton and Caisja Chandler took 2nd place with a time of 142.94, a new Indoor Track Record.  Also, Caisja Chandler was 3rd in the 200 Meter Dash 24.75 (2nd fastest time ever run indoors at Euclid next to Jessica Beard) Caisja was also 10th place in the 60 Meter Dash and our 4 x 400 Meter Relay team of Rahshayla Perry, Kristan Ross, Chalara Sutton and Lamyja Jernigan placed 15th in the state.  Awesome Job!
Meetings:
  • Ladies: Do not forget the first day of Girls Outdoor Track Starts today.  Meet outside in the Football Stadium by 2:45.  Remember to bring your physical papers or a note from the athletic office saying you have one on file.
  • Attention Student Council members!  Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, March 15 at 2:30 p.m.  In Room 296.   • Attention 8th grade boys and girls interested in track and field!  Track and field conditioning will start Monday, March 6th after school at Central Middle School for all 8th grade boys and girls.  A bus will be here at the high school everyday to transport runners to Central starting Monday, March 6th.  Be at door 7 by room 103 no later than 2:45pm each day.
  • If you missed the Girls Outdoor Track Meeting come see Coach Nosse in the Boy’s Gym. The 1st day of practice is Monday, March 6th.

  • Attention Art Club - there will be a meeting after school today in room 199 - Hope to see you there!
  • Attention all 8th graders who have signed up and registered for the Washington D.C. trip.  There will be a mandatory meeting for you and your parents today starting promptly at 6:00 p.m. in the Little Theater.

  • The University of Akron is hosting their Annual Spring College Fair on Friday, March 31st.  There will be over 100 colleges in attendance.  Transportation is provided by UA with a signed permission form.  Permission forms can be picked up in 324 and must be returned to Ms. Hunt by THIS Friday in order to participate.
  • There will be a mandatory organizational meeting on Monday, March 13 at 5:00pm in the band room for all students interested in auditioning for Dance Team, Pantherettes, and Drum Major for the 2017-18 marching band Season.  Practices will run for 1 week starting Tuesday, March 14 and auditions will be held on Wednesday, March 22.  For more information, contact band director Ms. Tizzano in the high school band room.

03/01/17 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Wednesday, March 1st, 2017.
  • The library is closed today due to testing. Seventh period students who are on the roster should report to room 295.
Meetings:
  • Attention all girls interested in softball: Practice will be held in the girl's gym today from 5-7.  Also, a parents meeting will be held on Friday, March 3 at 6:30 PM.
  • Any 8th or 9th grade student who wants to play baseball should come to practice today, Thursday, and Friday at 345.  Meet by the boy’s gym.
  • Attention Student Council members!  We will have a meeting today at 2:30 p.m. in Room 296.  We will be planning our upcoming Blood Drive.  See you there!
  • Culture Club is sponsoring a forum on Chinese culture today at the Euclid Public library.  The CSU Confucious Institute will present calligraphy and teach us how to make Peking Opera masks!  Meet in the EHS media center at 2:30 to walk with us to the library!  All are welcome!
  • Attention Art Club - there will be a meeting after school on THURSDAY of this week in room 199 - Hope to see you there!
  • Attention all 8th graders who have signed up and registered for the Washington D.C. trip.  There will be a mandatory meeting for you and your parents on Thursday, March 2nd starting promptly at 6:00 p.m. in the Little Theater.
  • Attention 8th grade boys and girls interested in track and field! Track and field conditioning will start Monday March 6th after school at Central Middle School for all 8th grade boys and girls. A bus will be here (@ESH) everyday to pick up runners to Central start Monday March 6th be at door 7 by room 103 on time 2:45pm.
  • If you missed the Girls Outdoor Track Meeting come see Coach Nosse in the Boys Gym. The 1st day of practice is Monday March 6th.
  • Senior shirt order forms are available in Senior English classes or in the library. Completed order forms and money can be turned in to Mrs. Latessa in Room 296. Orders will be taken through Friday, March 10.
  • Eaton Family Credit Union will be providing a $5,000 scholarship, in remembrance of Matt Logies, and another $5,000 award to graduating high school seniors majoring in Business or Finance.  Applicants or an immediate relative must be a Member in good standing of EFCU to be eligible.  Completed applications are due March 11, 2017.
