02/28/18 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Wednesday, February 28th
  • A reminder to all music students that you must be under the supervision of a director during all after school rehearsals for band, orchestra, varsity chorale, and Big Show.  If you have an evening rehearsal, you are required to exit the building after school and return at the time of your evening rehearsal.  You are not permitted to hang out in the auditorium, choir room, or band room without the direct supervision of a director.
  • Attention all 8th grade girls interested in playing softball.  Please come to the athletics office to sign up.  There will be a parent meeting with coach Frazier on Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM in the little theater.
  • Attention Art Club!  We will have a meeting this week on Thursday, March 1 after school in room 199.  Hope to see you there!
  • If you are interested in participating in Girls Outdoor Track and missed the meeting please come see Coach Nosse in the Boys Gym.  Practice starts Next Monday March 5th.
  • The Lake County Captains are hosting a Career Day on Thursday April 26th.  If you are interested in a career in the world of sports and would like to attend, see Mrs. Gonakis is room 324, no later than Thursday March 1st.
  • Interested in the Swim Team?  Or simply want to learn how to swim?  Euclid High School is offering free swim lessons for high school and middle school students!  Lessons will go from 2:45 - 3:30 PM after school every Monday for the remainder of the school year, beginning next week on Monday, March 5th.  Fliers and more information can be found in the Athletic Office

  • The following students have been selected to become new members of the National Honor Society. Please congratulate them when you see them today.   • Congratulations to Ms. Miceli, who is the Week 2 winner of the PBIS February challenge! Ms. Miceli will be enjoying breakfast from Dunkin Donuts. Teachers, this is the last week of the challenge. Please help us implement PBIS in our school and take the challenge this week!
  • Congrats to the Euclid Wrestling team on a successful Sectional Tournament.  We have 3 qualifiers to the District tournament this week at Canton Hoover.  Ricardo Haywood, Freddy Lisy and Laron Parks all placed in the top 4.
  • The Lake County Captains are hosting a Career Day on Thursday April 26th.  If you are interested in a career in the world of sports and would like to attend, see Mrs. Gonakis is room 324, no later than Thursday March 1st.

  • Today’s SHOUT! Out is from Dr. Mines to ALL of her chemistry classes for their generous donations towards the Junior & Senior Ambassadors’ Help the Homeless Drive.  Their generosity was appreciated and the items will definitely go to great use.  Keep up the good work! 
  • The L.E.A.D. Scholars would like to thank everyone that participating in yesterday’s yoga class.  We had an awesome time, sweated away some pounds, and learned some great new moves.  A special thanks to Mrs. Rudder, Mrs. Spivey, and Mrs. Hunnicutt for their support.  Be sure to stay tuned for our next event!

  • The L.E.A.D. Scholars are hosting a Zumba class today at 4pm in the Girls' gym. IF you are planning to attend, stop by and complete a waiver. Students can meet in 371 after school. If you have questions, please see Dr. Mines or Mrs. Davis. We hope to see you there! 
  • Sophomore students who have applied to a Lake Shore Compact Career Tech Program: Please stop by the CTE Office, Rm 232 on either Friday, February 23 or Monday, February 26 during your lunch to find out if you have been accepted into a career tech program. 
  • There will be a Mandatory Girls Outdoor Track Meeting today in the Little theatre at 2:20. If you plan on running outdoor track you must be there. Any questions see Coach Nosse in the Boys Gym. 
  • Attention SAVE club: Our winter hike to North Chagrin reservation is today. Those attending meet in the planetarium immediately after school today and we will leave at 2:30pm. 
  • Educator’s Rising will meet after school today in room 231.

02/21/18 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Wednesday, February 21st.
  • The results for the 5th Ohio Math League contest are in.  Congratulations to Alex Bowman and Jaime Geiger for tying for first place with 50 points.  Luke Johnson came off the injured reserved list to score 41 points and third place.  Jeremy Morton was 4th with 37 points, yes you heard correctly, 37 points.  Heather Bloesser was 5th with 33 points.  The last contest of the year will be March 20. 
  • EHS Culture Club will sponsor a forum on Feminism today at the Euclid Public Library. The session starts at 2:30 pm in the Lake Room. See Ms .Russo in Room 147 for further information.
  • The L.E.A.D. Scholars will be continuing their Fit in February initiative this week with a Zumba class.  Zumba is an exercise fitness program that incorporates dance with aerobic workout.  If you are interested in attending, please stop by 371 or 259 for more information and to pick up a waiver form.  The class will be held this Thursday at 4pm.  The class is free but we are asking for a $1-2 donation.  Consider coming, working up an appetite, and then attending the Chinese New Year celebration hosted in the e-room.  We look forward to seeing you there.

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Thursday, February 15th. 
  • A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.  Have you witnessed or received a random act of kindness this week? If so, be sure to pass it on.  If not, be sure to say thanks, hold a door, help someone out, and show appreciation today.  Just because it’s the last day of kindness week doesn't mean you cant continue to be kind.  It actually takes more muscles to frown than smile so... relax a bit and share a smile.
  • After school English tutoring is cancelled for today.
  • The yearbook/newspaper meeting has been cancelled for this week.  Please work on your pages and bring story ideas and pictures next week!
  • Please pick up your tickets for the Confucius Institute's Chinese New Year .  If you registered for the February  24th event at CSU, please come to room 226 to get your tickets.  This is for the Saturday event, not the Chinese New Year at Euclid High School.  For our Euclid Chinese New Year on February 22nd in the E-room, register with the Chinese teacher Miss Wang soon! The first 50 tickets are free! That's right, the first 50 dinner tickets will be given away for free.
  • The Pep Band will host a movie night tomorrow evening, February 16, following halftime at the Elyria-Euclid game!  All band members are invited to attend.  You may also bring a friend.  Sign up in the band room.

  • Did you receive or witness a random act of kindness yesterday?  Be sure to get involved in Kindness Week and spread the word.  Remember, kindness is like honey, sweet to the soul and good for the body.  3 days left for this week, let's do our part.
  • Mrs. Trapp would like to acknowledge her top membean users in each class period.  These students have consistently completed 30 minutes of membean, with the required percentage or above, for the 3rd grading period.  They are Christian Mitchell, Travon Haywood, Angela Roth and Jovon Smith.  Thank you for taking pride in your own learning.

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Monday, February 12th.  I’m (Name), I’m (A2) and I’m (A3).  Welcome to the Morning Show.
  • “A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees.”  This quote from Amelia Earhart helps kicks off Kindness Week, part of the Fit In February initiative.   Hosted by the L.E.A.D Scholars, Kindness Week focuses on mental, physical, and emotional wellness. The Scholars, in partnership with the CRAVE Christian Club, got things started with the positive notes found on the lockers today. They are challenging all teachers, students, and staff to do something nice for someone this week. Consider writing a note, holding a door, lending a helping hand, or giving a small gift to someone that might need a pick-me-up or just to show your appreciation. If you receive an act of kindness, be sure to pass one on. This is a short week, so lets make everyday count.
  • The tickets for Confucius Institute's Chinese New Year are here! If you registered for the Feb. 24 event at CSU, please come to Chinese classroom 226 to get your tickets. That is the Saturday event, not the Chinese New Year at Euclid. For our Euclid Chinese New Year on February 22 in the E-room, register with the Chinese teacher Miss Wang soon! The first 50 tickets are free! That's right, the first 50 dinner tickets are given away for free.
  • Ms. Henry would like to shout out to the top performing 8th graders in Membean on Team Jaguar.  Congrats to Trevionte Rembert, Zach Hillard, Tiara Davis, Nijah Gayle, Khalil Lewis, Mike Adams, Janya Parrish, and Abreanah Peters.  Not only did these students get their 45 minutes last week, their accuracy rate was also exceptional!  Great job Jaguars!  Keep up the good work!

  • Students, LAST CALL! If you are interested in taking the ASVAB Test please sign up in Ms. Urban's Office. The test will be given on Wednesday, February 14, in the Little Theater. Test runs from 1st to 4th periods. Accommodations will be made if you have 4th period lunch and miss it.
  • Imagine not having a place to call home. Homelessness can affect many in our community. The Junior/Senior Ambassador Leadership group are collecting NEW items to donate to the area shelters. We need towels, socks, hats, gloves deodorant, and other hygiene items. Drop off in Room 147 (Ms. Russo) Thanks for your support!
  • Euclid High School Chinese New Year!  It's our Euclid High's annual Chinese New Year!  You and your families are all invited to the Euclid Chinese New Year Celebration, on February 22, 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the E-room.  Join us for a fun night of performances, games, prizes, and an authentic Chinese dinner!  Please see the flyers outside the Chinese Classroom, or just stop by Room 226 to register.  You can also stop by the E-room to see Ms. Wang after school.  Hope to see you at the party!
  • The LEAD Scholars would like to thank everyone that participated in the yoga class yesterday.  We had an awesome student turn out.  We want to thank Ms. Poe, Ms. Gibbons, and Ms. Chinchar for their support.  And a very special thank you to Ms. Lorko who lead the class and helped us focus on self-love, positivity, and good energy.  Stay tuned for our next event.  All are encouraged to participate.

  • Student-athletes from the football and girls track and field teams are excused to attend National Signing Day today in the boys gym at 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM.

  • The LEAD Scholars will be hosting a Fit In February Initiative aimed at promoting mental, physical, and emotional wellness this month.  The first event will be a Yoga class, hosted by our very own Ms. Lorko today at 3pm. We welcome novice and seasoned yoga participants.  If you have questions or want to Get Fit In February, please stop by and see Mrs. Davis in 259 or Dr. Mines in 371.

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Tuesday, February 6h.
  • The cafeteria menu for today has changed.  They will be serving Fiestada Pizza, Seasoned diced tomatoes and fruit.
  • Attention Student Council members! We have one more meeting BEFORE our upcoming Blood Drive!  We will meet today at 2:20 p.m. in Room 296.
  • Attention Art Club! There is an Art Club meeting TODAY after school in Room 199. We will be making Valentines decorations.  Hope you can make it!
  • The next meeting for current members of the National Honor Society is today at 2:20 in room 342. See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions.

02/02/18 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Friday,  February 2nd .  
  • Imagine not having a place to call home, warm water to shower or brush your teeth when you wanted, or sleeping outside or in a shelter. These things may seem small but to the Homeless it can affect their confidence and self-worth. The Junior and Senior Ambassadors are sponsoring a Hygiene Drive and WE NEED YOUR HELP!!! From Feb. 5th-Feb. 23rd, we are collecting the following new items: towels, socks, hats, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, laundry detergent, diapers, lotion, and sanitary products. Your donations can be dropped off to Ms. Russo's Office in Room 147. Help us speak for the unspoken!

  • Students, If you are interested in taking the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) please sign up in Ms. Urban's Office.  The test will be given on Wednesday, February 14, in the Little Theater.  The test runs from 1st to 4th periods.  Accommodations will be made if you have 4th period lunch and miss it.
