03/29/18 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Thursday, March 29th.
  • Today’s class SHOUT! Out is from Mr. Mita to his 7th period Biology class for immediately going back to work after the fire drill yesterday.  Great Job!
  • Auditions were held last evening for the new 2018-2019 Marching Band Drum Major and Pantherette Captain positions and the directors are please to announce that Daade Pack and Kiana Sims have won the drum major audition and Angel Tyson has won the Pantherette captain audition.  Congratulations!
  • Today is the last day to vote for the 2018 EHS March Madness Book Champion.  Voting will take place in your English class.
  • Attention all student-athletes presenting at this year's PAWs Awards.  There will be a mandatory rehearsal today in the little theater right after school.  If you need to know what group or sport you are presenting, please stop by the athletics office. 
  • Students who wish to plan the April 20th National Walk Out day in honor of the anniversary of the Columbine school shooting are welcome to join us in the Little Theater on Wednesday April 11th at 2:30PM to plan the event.  The meeting will last one hour.

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Wednesday, March 28th.
  • Attention all girls soccer players grades 8-11.  There will be a meeting at 2:15 right after school today in room 123 with Coach Pickens.  This is mandatory.  Please be on time.
  • Attention all student-athletes presenting at this year's PAWs Awards.  Mandatory rehearsal this week will be on Thursday, March 29 in the little theater right after school.  If you need to know what group or sport you are presenting, please stop by the athletics office. 
  • Euclid High School’s Concert Band & Orchestra along with our 8th Grade Band & Orchestra will present their annual Spring Concert on Thursday, April 26th at 7:00pm in the high school Auditorium.  The orchestra Concert will be presented 1st period and the band concert 7th period the day of the concert on Thursday, April 26.  All 1st and 7th period classes are welcome!   The dress rehearsal for all band members is Wednesday, April 18 from 5-6:30pm.  Admission to the concert is $3.

  • We are down to the final 2 books in the EHS March Madness Book Championship.  Pony Boy and the Outsiders vs. Percy Jackson, The Lightning Thief.  Vote today through Thursday in your English class to see who the winner will be.
  • Congratulations to Ms. Henry's Top Membean Users: Jalianna Cook, Latoya Matthews, Abreanah Peters, Deianira Ashley, Trevionte Rembert, and Josiah Watts.  Keep up the great work as we prepare for the AIR test!! 
  • 8th boys and girls track and field meet for today has been canceled no practice please go home.  See you all tomorrow at Central for pictures (wear your uniforms).

03/26/18 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Monday, March 26th.
  • The results for the final Ohio Math League contest are in. Congratulations to Alex Bowman for finishing in first place this year. Luke Johnson finished in second place for the year, but he has the highest all time career score by a lot. His record may stand for years to come. Jaime Geiger was in third place for the year. Peter Powell was in fourth place for the year and has the second all time highest career score. Heather Bloeser finished in 5th place. Jeremy Morton was the highest placing 11th grader. Thank you to all of this year's participants. 
  • Congratulations to Mrs. Walsh-HIlf's High Membean Achievers: Chantell Kellom, Savon Loving, Jerome Rolf, LaShae Bacon and Jordan Cannon.  Keep up the good effort and growth mindset! 
  • Seniors - The Local Money Scholarship Application and Kessel Scholarship Application are both due today by 2:15pm.  This is a firm deadline!  The applications can be found in Naviance, in the Guidance office and they were sent via email.  See your counselor if you have questions.

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Friday, March 23rd.
  • A huge SHOUT! Out goes to Ms. Ellis' 3rd period class.  Every time there has been a sub, Ms. Ellis has received glowing reviews of third period.  Recently a sub wrote that third period is the "best 8th grade class ever!"  Thank you, guys and enjoy your pizza today!
  • Today is the last day of voting for the 3rd round of the EHS Book Championship.  Your opinion matters so let your voice be heard.  Vote in your English class today!
  • Attention all presenters for the 2018 PAWS Awards, there is a mandatory meeting immediately after school today in the Planetarium.  Please report promptly to the Planetarium to discuss the schedule of rehearsals and to get group assignments.

  • Congratulations to Mrs. Simmons' top readers for the 40 book challenge. Nailah Tinsley with 30 books, Rodney Smith with 31 books, Zayda Stormer with 34 books, Cornell Burford and Lania Brown tied with 44, and our top reader, Teighan Vickrey with 57 books so far this school year!
  • Voting for the 3rd round of the EHS Book Championship starts today and runs through Friday of this week.  Your opinion matters so let your voice be heard.  Don’t forget to vote.

  • Did you know that March is National Reading Month?  If you have always wanted to join a reading group, now is the time!  All staff and students are invited to attend a reading program for a month.  Attend the informational meeting this Wednesday, March 21st at 2:30 in the EHS media center.  You can choose the book you want to read! This is a great way for students and staff to read for fun! Incentives for completing the program will be awarded in May.

  • Thanks to everyone who voted in the first round of the EHS March Madness Book Championship.  Pairings for the second round are:  Romeo and Juliet vs. The Lightning Thief, Bluford High vs. The Hunger Games, The Maze Runner vs. The Outsiders, and Of Mice and Men vs. Monster.  Voting for the second round will run from Wednesday through Friday in your English classes.  Your vote counts, so don’t be left out.


  • Attention 8th graders interested in joining the tennis team.  Practice will be today, Wednesday and Thursday this week.  There will be a bus transporting 8th grade athletes to Central Middle school for spring sports.  Please board bus number 34 by the athletic entrance by 2:30.  The bus will depart promptly and will not return to pick you up if you missed the bus.  Make sure you have a ride to pick you up at 4:30 after practice.

  • Remember to vote in your English class to help decide which 8 books will move to the second round of the EHS March Madness Book Championship.  Pairings for the first round can be found in the showcase located on the first floor at the bottom of the main office corridor staircase.  Don’t be left out! 
  • Juniors and Seniors - If you are interested in attending the Job Fair today, but have NOT signed up in Naviance yet, stop by the Guidance Office before you go to lunch.  You can get a pass to attend the fair during your lunch period.  The Job Fair will be in the West Gym during 4th, 5th and 6th periods.
  • 8th grade boys and girls interested in track and field please come to Mrs. Bowers-Craig room 103 and sign-up all week from March 5 thru March 9th. Track for middle school boys and girls starts March 12th. Conditioning will be at Central starting March 12th. The bus leaves EHS by the baseball field/boys gym everyday at 2:30 (be there and on time to get to Central for conditioning). Any questions see Coach Bowers in room 103.

  • Attention all juniors, tomorrow you will be taking the SAT, 1st through 5th period.  Your homeroom teachers will provide you with a slip today to inform you of where to report tomorrow at 7:30AM.  You should report directly to that location and NOT to your normal 1st period.  Please see Mrs. Urban if you have any questions.
  • Are you ready for the spectacle and pageantry of March Madness?  You too can be a part of this historic championship series and share the experience with your fellow students.  Sixteen books have entered, but only one will be crowned as champion.  Starting Wednesday you can vote in your English class to help decide which book will win the Euclid High School Book Championship.  Pairings for the first round can be found in the showcase located on the first floor at the bottom of the main office corridor staircase.  Don’t be left out!
  • Ms. Henry would like to shout out her top Membean performers from last work.  Nice job to Deianira Ashley, Amya Vaughan, Tobias Moore, Janiya Parrish, Cahlil Gilespie, Trevionte Rembert, and Zach Hillard.  These students had the highest accuracy on team Jaguar.  Great job!
  • Attention all boys and girls basketball players in grades 9-12. P lease report to the little theater after school for a short meeting.  Again, all boys and girls who played basketball this season, please report to the little theater after school.  If you can't attend this meeting, please stop by the athletics office during the day.

  • Thank you to all teachers who participated in the PBIS February Challenge. The winner of Week 3's challenge was Ms. Korpowski.  She has won a $10 gift card to Chipotle.  Also, a shout out goes to Ms. Pollack who participated in the Challenge all 3 weeks.  Ms. Pollack, you have won a Chipotle gift card as well!

  • Today’s class SHOUT Outs! go to Ms. Garvey’s 3rd period class for their exceptionally mature behavior and for their very diligence in their academics.  And also to Mr. Burkart’s 3rd period class for a great job this week solving their computer coding challenges.  Keep up the awesome work!

  • The Lake County Captains are hosting a Career Day on Thursday April 26th.  If you are interested in a career in the world of sports and would like to attend, see Mrs. Gonakis is room 324, no later than Thursday March 1st.
  • Interested in the Swim Team?  Or simply want to learn how to swim?  Euclid High School is offering free swim lessons for high school and middle school students!  Lessons will go from 2:45 - 3:30 PM after school every Monday for the remainder of the school year, beginning next week on Monday, March 5th.  Fliers and more information can be found in the Athletic Office
