04/30/18 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Monday, April 30th.
  • The Lady Panthers Track Team came in 1st place Friday Night at the Lutheran West Invitational.  Caisja Chandler was part of 4 meet records, including the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash and the 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 meter relays with Kristan Ross, Cori Crump and Talia Mclin.  Cori Crump also recorded two 1st place finishes as well in the 100 meter and 300 meter hurdles.  Other Outstanding performances were turned in by Kristan Ross finished 1st Place in the 400 meter dash, Adaya Lemon finished 1st Place in the Shot Put, Iyana Jenkins finished 2nd Place in the Shot Put, Adaya Lemon, Adrianna Gill, Talia Mclin and Destinee White finished 2nd Place in the 4 x 400 relay, Lauren Turner finished 4th Place in the Discus, Talia Mclin finished 7th Place in the 200 meter dash and Destinee White finished 8th Place in the 400 meter dash. 
  • The last meeting of the National Honor Society will be tomorrow after school at 2:20 in room 342.  Please make every effort to attend. See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions.
  • Attention all Marching Band Members.  Rehearsal for the Memorial Day Parade runs from Tuesday, May 1 through Friday, May 25 and the parade is Monday, May 28.  Pantherettes and Drumline Pre-Band Camp Clinic runs May 14-18 from 4-7pm each evening.  Band Camp begins on Monday, June 4 and runs through June 14 from 8:30am until 3pm daily!  Cedar Point is Friday, June 15.
  • Attention Seniors!  Prom ticket sales begin today and run through Wednesday, May 9.  The treasurer will be available from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily during this time.  She is located in the main office.  Please make sure you have your signed contract, photo ID, and cash or money order to purchase your ticket. 
  • Senior Prom King and Queen applications are now available from Mrs. Latessa in Room 296.  Applications are due to Mrs. Latessa by Tuesday, May 8.
  • The senior Dave and Buster's field trip permission slips are available in the 11th and 12th grade unit office.  Signed permission slips and $40 cash or money order are due to Mrs. Latessa in Room 296 by Monday, May 7.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Latessa in Room 296. 
  • If you are a student who continues to be referral free or has perfect attendance, you will be invited to Panther Palooza to be held on Friday, May 11th!  Get ready for lunch, a dunk tank, pie in the face, music, and more!   • Students interested in signing up for the all new Sports Management Club should stop by the athletics office in the main hallway for more information.  All inducted members get a Nike Dri-fit top AND get the opportunity to work for the department.
  • Attention all student-athletes presenting at the 2018 PAW Awards.  Today is a mandatory rehearsal right after school in the auditorium. If all participants show up today, we will order pizza during our field trip on Thursday. 
  • The 64th Annual Euclid Track Relays is this Friday, May 4th at 3pm. Come out to the new track stadium.  There will be a total of 31 teams attending.  The cost of the meet is $6 for Adults and $4 for Students.

  • Attention all Big Show Cast/Crew/Pit.  There will be an EXTREMELY important meeting today right after school in the choir room.  We need to see all of you there!!!! Exciting news about the Dazzle Awards.  See Mrs. Ross with questions.
  • Attention all girls interested in playing soccer. There will be conditioning on Sunday from 12-1 on the new soccer field here at the high school.
  • The last meeting of the National Honor Society will be this Tuesday, May 1 after school at 2:20 in room 342.  Please make every effort to attend. See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions.

04/24/18 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Tuesday, April 24th.
  • Attention seniors:  Library fines are separate from fines from the treasurer and must be paid before you can go to prom or pick up your cap and gown.  Seniors will be allowed to enter the library to return books and/or pay fines, however, you must enter quietly through the double glass doors at the north end of the library.
  • The Lady Panthers track team ran this past Saturday and came in 4th place out of 12 teams.  Medal winners for the ladies were Caisja Chandler who placed first in the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 4 x 200, and 4 x 100 relay.  Cori Crump who placed first in the 100 meter hurdles, second in the 300 meter hurdles, and first in the 4 x 200 and 4 x 100.  Kristan Ross who placed fourth in the 100 meter dash, third in the 400 dash, and first in the 4 x 200 and 4 x 100.  Talia Maclin who placed first in the 4 x 200 and 4 x 100.  Marquette Makupson and Dominique Woods who placed eighth in the long jump, and Devinay Bolar, Arianna Dial, Megan Cook and Nadia Cook who placed eighth in the 4 x 800 relay. 
  • Coach Ingram would like to congratulate Deianira Ashley and Alaysha Rogers for winning their #1 doubles match against South Euclid Lyndhurst 8-3.  The match was exciting and these two second year players easily defeated their opponents.  Congratulations ladies. 
  • Open gym for Tuesday 4/24 has been canceled.

  • Today’s class SHOUT! Outs are from Mrs. Simmons' to her first and fourth period classes for their great behavior during Monday's literary egg hunt!  And from Ms. Henry to her  second period class for being flexible, kind, and incredibly hard-working with a different teacher during state testing.
  • Congratulations to Ms. Henry's top Membean users for accuracy.  Great job Jayshawn Thomas, Torron Brown, Jayda Edwards, Janya Parrish, Trevionte Rembert, and Camari Smith.  Keep up the great work!
  • 7th & 8th grade middle school track and field report: The boys and girls scored the most points out of 32 teams in Friday’s Mentor Cardinals Middle School Track Invitational. The girls came in 1st and boys 4th place. Great Job to the following athletes: YaJhaira Reid: 1st in the 100 meters, anchored the 4x200 relay to 1st place, and 3rd in the long jump. Alexis Cain: 1st 400 meters and 200 meters, and anchored the 4x400 relay for a 2nd place finish. Sydnei Deloach: lead off runner for the 1st place 4x200 relay and 2nd place 4x400 relay. Alaysia McKinney: 1st place in long jump, 3rd leg for the 1st place finishing 4x200 relay. Other members that supported the girls victory: 8th graders Jade Neal, Kiera Johnson both ran in 4x400 relay, Alyssa Robinson 4x100 relay, 7th graders A’Amari Holsey, Dajanay Bailey, & Charli Coleman in both 4x100 and 4x200 relay. The boys also did well. Jordan Cannon: 1st place in the long jump, 4th in the 400 meters, and 2nd in the 4x100 relay. Sydney Little: 1st in the 200 meters, 2nd in the100 meters, and 2nd 4x100 relay. Claishon Ivory: 2nd in the 4x100 relay and 4th in the high jump. Duron Ramsey: 2nd in the long jump. And Ty Howard: 6th in the shot put.

  • Are you feeling stressed with all these AIR Tests? Would you like to create a stress ball to help you relieve some of this stress while you are taking the Algebra I or Geometry tests Monday? If so, NJHS members will be selling stress balls in the Cafeteria and E-Room today during all lunch periods for .50 cents each. Come and make your own!
  • Attention students in 9th-11th grade. If you had Ms. Shamblen for 8th grade English and would be willing to let her use your Magnificent Marvelous Me project as an example for this year's students, please bring your project to room 123!

04/19/18 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Wednesday, April 19th.
  • Attention all students and staff. This upcoming Friday you are invited to participate in a national school walkout activity so you can voice your concerns about gun violence. This is a serious event and is not meant to be taken lightly. Please do not participate unless you are able to show yourself to be a responsible member of our Euclid High School community. In order to participate, please use the Google Form that your homeroom teacher will give you during homeroom today or tomorrow. If you choose to participate, then on Friday, your homeroom teacher will give you an orange bracelet. After your 3rd period class, those with orange bracelets will be released from class to head to the athletic entrance. From there we will enter the stadium to hear student speakers talk about the impact of gun violence. After a moment of silence, you will be released back to your classes. If you are not participating in the walkout, you will remain in 3rd period with your teacher who will have a lesson about how young people have changed American history. City council members and members of the community will be on hand to see Euclid High students working together to improve their society. If you are wearing an orange bracelet, please exit and reenter the building quickly and quietly. All students should be in their assigned areas at all times. Remember to sign up using the Google Form from your homeroom teacher and remember to wear orange on Friday. If you have any questions, please see Dr. Stephens in room 347.

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Wednesday, April 18th.
  • April is a month dedicated to raising awareness about sexual violence and increasing the public’s understanding about sexual violence in our society.  Here is another special message about this important issue.
  • Congratulations to the top readers on team Jaguar in the 40 Book Challenge. The top readers include: Camron Talton at 35 books, Jessica Specht at 30 books, Jaylon Wilkins at 28 books, Brelann Baskin and Keyara Phillips who have both read 25 books. As a team, Jaguar students have read 1,110 books! Congratulations to all of the students who are working very hard to reach their goal of 40 books this school year!
  • Attention all students and staff. This upcoming Friday you are invited to participate in a national school walkout activity so you can voice your concerns about gun violence. This is a serious event and is not meant to be taken lightly. Please do not participate unless you are able to show yourself to be a responsible member of our Euclid High School community. In order to participate, please use the Google Form that your homeroom teacher will give you during homeroom today or tomorrow. After your 3rd period class, those who wish to participate will be released from class to head to the athletic entrance. From there we will enter the stadium to hear student speakers talk about the impact of gun violence. We will then unite as a community to form the number 13 on the field in commemoration of the 13 individuals who lost their lives in the Columbine school shooting in 1999. After a moment of silence, you will be released back to your classes. If you are not participating in the walkout, you will remain in your 3rd period class where your teacher will have a lesson about how young people have changed American history. City council members and members of the community will be on hand to see Euclid High students working together to improve their society. Please exit and reenter the building quickly and quietly. All students should be in their assigned areas at all times. Remember to sign up using the Google Form from your homeroom teacher and remember to wear orange on Friday.   • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Tuesday, April 
  • Shoutout to Mrs. Simmons' first and fourth period classes for their great behavior during Monday's literary egg hunt!
  • On Friday April 20th, to commemorate the 19th anniversary of the Columbine shooting and to remember other victims of gun violence, Euclid High School will be participating may choose to participate in the planned National Walkout Day activities. We are asking everyone to wear the color orange on this day to commemorate all who have lost their lives to gun violence. Those who choose to participate further will walk out of school and will meet in our new Panther Football stadium. We are giving you the opportunity to participate in an event that will push for social change at a time when the voices of young people must be heard. At no time are you required to join us on April 20th and we politely recommend you refrain from participation if you are unable to behave accordingly or do not understand the seriousness of events. We ask that any student interested in participating register through the Google Form that your homeroom teacher will share with you. We look forward to seeing you there! Bring your voice, passions, and concerns as we collectively stand for change!

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Monday, April 16th.
  • April is a month dedicated to raising awareness about sexual violence and increasing the public’s understanding about sexual violence in our society.  Here is another special message about this important issue.
  • The Lady Panthers Track Team Ran Saturday at the Glenoak Invitational. The girls were 4th place out of 24 teams. Leading the way was Caisja Chandler who is currently the states fastest runner in the 100 and 200 meter dash. Caisja set a meet record in the 100 11.94 and 200 24.41 She was also part of the 1st place 4 x 200 relay with Kristan Ross, Cori Crump and Talia Mclin. Those same 4 ladies were also 2nd in the 4 x 100 Relay. Other great performances from the meet were Adaya Lemon 34 feet 1 inch Shot Put, Iyana Jenkins 31 feet 7 inch Shot Put, Adrianna Dial 2:55 800 and Cori Crump 50.4 300 Hurdles.

  • Girls High School Track Practice is cancelled today.  There will be practice tomorrow.  There is also a middle school track meet today that the coaches would love for you to stick around and help with.

  • Today’s class SHOUT Out! is from Mrs Hyland and Ms Collins to all of the 9th graders that attended the Minds Matter presentation before Spring Break.  You listened, had great eye contact, and asked excellent questions.  They are very proud of you!
  • Congratulations to Mrs. Walsh-Hilf's High Membean Achievers over break. Lola Dyson, Isaiah Pride, Erin Miller, Jerome Rolf, Denajah Coates, LaShae Bacon, and Alana Cain spent a lot of time over break mastering new vocabulary. Great job and keep up the good work and growth mindset!

  • The Lady Panthers Track Team Ran Saturday at the Lexington Invitational.  They came in 6th place out of 16 teams.  Leading the way for the Lady Panthers was Meet MVP Caisja Chandler with 4 1st place finishes.  Caisja won the 100 Meter Dash 12.5, 200 Meter Dash 25.7 and was part of the 4 x 100 Meter Relay of Cori Crump, Talia Mclin and Adriana Gill and finally the 4 x 200 Meter Relay with Kristan Ross, Croi Crump and Tali Mclin.  One other 1st Place finish was put in by Kristan Ross in the 400 Meter Dash 60.9.  Ladies that also placed in the top 8 were Talia Mclin 7th place 200 Dash, Cori Crump 5th place 100 Hurdles and the 7th Place Shuttle Hurdles team of Courtney Rice, Ariel Thompson, Adrianna Gill and Cori Crump.
  • Attention all presenters for the PAWS Awards, there is rehearsal immediately after school today in the little theater. Please arrive promptly after the bell and get into your groups to work on your presentations. 
  • Join us tomorrow, April 10, for a Chipotle fundraiser. Go to the Chipotle on Lakeshore Boulevard from 4-8pm to help support the 8th grade PBIS incentives and activities.
  • The next meeting of the National Honor Society will be Tuesday April 10 at 2:20 in room 342.  See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions.
  • Students who wish to plan the April 20th National Walk Out day in honor of the anniversary of the Columbine school shooting are welcome to join us in the Little Theater on Wednesday April 11th at 2:30PM to plan the event.  The meeting will last one hour. 
  • Attention 8th grade NJHS members.  There will be a brief meeting after school from 2:20 - 2:45 in room 226 this Thursday.  Please plan on attending and bringing your $10 dues and volunteer hours sheets.  See Ms. Collins in room 321 if you cannot attend.
  • Attention all student-athletes. The Booster Club scholarship forms are now available in the athletics office.  The requirements must be completed and returned to the athletics office by the end of the day April 13. 
  • Euclid High School’s Concert Band & Orchestra along with our 8th Grade Band & Orchestra will present their annual Spring Concert on Thursday, April 26th at 7:00pm in the high school Auditorium.  The orchestra Concert will be presented 1st period and the band concert 7th period the day of the concert on Thursday, April 26.  All 1st and 7th period classes are welcome!   The dress rehearsal for all band members is Wednesday, April 18 from 5-6:30pm.  Admission to the concert is $3.)
