04/17/18 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Tuesday, April 
  • Shoutout to Mrs. Simmons' first and fourth period classes for their great behavior during Monday's literary egg hunt!
  • On Friday April 20th, to commemorate the 19th anniversary of the Columbine shooting and to remember other victims of gun violence, Euclid High School will be participating may choose to participate in the planned National Walkout Day activities. We are asking everyone to wear the color orange on this day to commemorate all who have lost their lives to gun violence. Those who choose to participate further will walk out of school and will meet in our new Panther Football stadium. We are giving you the opportunity to participate in an event that will push for social change at a time when the voices of young people must be heard. At no time are you required to join us on April 20th and we politely recommend you refrain from participation if you are unable to behave accordingly or do not understand the seriousness of events. We ask that any student interested in participating register through the Google Form that your homeroom teacher will share with you. We look forward to seeing you there! Bring your voice, passions, and concerns as we collectively stand for change!
  • Attention students in 9th-11th grade. If you had Ms. Shamblen for 8th grade English and would be willing to let her use your Magnificent Marvelous Me project as an example for this year's students, please bring your project to room 123!
  • Attention to all presenters for the 2018 PAWS Awards. Today is a mandatory rehearsal right after school in the little theater. Please be on-time to the little theater, after school, today.
  • Culture Club will sponsor a speaker from Tri C on Human Trafficking at the Euclid Public Library Wednesday April 18, 2018. The session begins at 2:30 pm until 3:45pm. It will be held in the Lake Room. ,See Ms Russo in Room 147 if you are interested in attending. Thanks!
  • Congratulations!  If you are a student who continues to be referral free or has perfect attendance, you will be invited to Panther Palooza!  This event will be held on the field of the new stadium on Friday, May 11th! Get ready for lunch, a dunk tank, pie in the face, music, and more!  It’s your time.  Thank you for always being respectful, responsible, and shown integrity.  You make us Panther proud.
  • The Senior Art Show is Thursday, April 19th from 6:00pm-8:00pm in the High School Auditorium. The Day show will run Friday, April 20th from 10-12pm. Come and see the excellent work our senior have to show. Artwork is for sale!
  • Attention SAVE environmental club! There will be a meeting this Thursday, April 19th after school in room 390. We will discuss our involvement with the Euclid Big Clean this Saturday. Please see Mr. Young or Mrs. Spivey if you have any questions.
  • Attention all students - The athletics department is excited to announce a new club for the 2018-2019 school year. If you are interested in working in athletics, please come to the athletics office to sign up for the all new Sports Management Club.
  • Do you like to sing, dance, work hard, and compete against other high school students?  The Varsity Chorale Show Choir wants you!  Auditions are Tuesday April 24 and Wednesday April 25th.  There will be a mandatory informational meeting about auditions for next year's group today in the choir room from 2:20-3:00pm.  Come check it out and see how Varsity Chorale can become part of your EHS experience!  Please see Mrs. Ross in the choir room with any questions!
  • Attention Seniors!  The following important announcements are for you.
    • The Senior Class Cabinet will be meeting on Thursday, April 19 at 2:30 p.m. in Room 296 to finalize some things for prom and after prom.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Latessa.
    • Deadlines for many of the scholarships that will be presented at Senior Awards night are approaching.  If you are interested in education, beauty school or have completed community service - see Mrs. Gonakis in room 324 to see if you are qualified to apply.
    • Prom contracts will be available in the 11th and 12th grade unit office beginning today.  School fees must be paid before purchasing a ticket.  Prom tickets will go on sale beginning Monday, April 30 and run through Wednesday, May 9.  If you have questions about prom or after prom, please see Mrs. Latessa in Room 296.
    • Dave and Buster's field trip permission slips are available in the 11th and 12th grade unit office.  Signed permission slips and $40 cash or money order are due to Mrs. Latessa in Room 296 by Monday, May 7.  Don't miss out on this senior event!  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Latessa in Room 296.
  • Euclid High School’s Concert Band & Orchestra along with our 8th Grade Band & Orchestra will present their annual Spring Concert Thursday, April 26 at 7:00pm in the high school Auditorium.  Please note that the date has been changed to 1 week later.  The orchestra Concert will be presented 1st period and the band concert 7th period the day of the concert on Thursday, April 26.  All 1st and 7th period classes are welcome!  A reminder to all band members that dress rehearsal is Wednesday, April 18 from 5-6:30pm.  Admission to the concert is $3.
