  • Attention all students and staff. This upcoming Friday you are invited to participate in a national school walkout activity so you can voice your concerns about gun violence. This is a serious event and is not meant to be taken lightly. Please do not participate unless you are able to show yourself to be a responsible member of our Euclid High School community. In order to participate, please use the Google Form that your homeroom teacher will give you during homeroom today or tomorrow. After your 3rd period class, those who wish to participate will be released from class to head to the athletic entrance. From there we will enter the stadium to hear student speakers talk about the impact of gun violence. We will then unite as a community to form the number 13 on the field in commemoration of the 13 individuals who lost their lives in the Columbine school shooting in 1999. After a moment of silence, you will be released back to your classes. If you are not participating in the walkout, you will remain in your 3rd period class where your teacher will have a lesson about how young people have changed American history. City council members and members of the community will be on hand to see Euclid High students working together to improve their society. Please exit and reenter the building quickly and quietly. All students should be in their assigned areas at all times. Remember to sign up using the Google Form from your homeroom teacher and remember to wear orange on Friday.
