12/20/18 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Thursday, December 20th.
  • Chinese Club members! On February 16, Saturday, we will go see the Broadway show Miss Saigon, from 1:30 to 4:30pm. If you are not a Chinese Club member, feel free to join us!  You pay only $10 for the ticket, Chinese Club will pay the rest.  Make sure sign up and turn in your money.  Chinese Club will go to dinner after.  The whole cost for the field trip is $10.  Please sign up with Ms. Wang.  Join the Chinese Club!  See Ms. Saigon!  Don't miss this great opportunity to see a Broadway Show!
  • Attention Sophomores:  Do not forget to apply at www.LakeShoreCompact.org by December 21, 2018.  You may apply after this deadline, but applying by this “priority status” deadline will add bonus points to your score and guarantee you an interview in mid-January.  Remember, you can only apply for two programs (your first choice gets you 5 additional points on our scoring system).  If you have any questions, see your counselor or stop by the CTE office in room 324.
  • Attention All students!  Culture Club will be hosting a Black History Assembly next semester.  We are looking for talented students who are interested in performing.  The auditions will be held in January (Date to be announced). Songs, Spoken Word and Dance should be 2 to 4 minutes and align with the theme Lift Every Voice and Speak!  Use your break to break out and perform!  See Ms. Russo in Room 147 if you have any questions.

12/19/18 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Wednesday, December 19th.
  • Keep the spirit going!  Tomorrow is Ugly Holiday Sweater Day.
  • Congratulations to team Jaguar for having read 675 book so far this school year for the 40 Book Challenge. The top readers on the team are Mickaila Buefort with 89 books, York Eberhardt, with 21 books, Dariya Rodgers with 20 books, Sam Peterson with 18 books, and Rayshawn black with 14 books. On average, each student has read 7 books so far this school year! Great job team Jaguar! You are becoming life-long lovers of reading!
  • 8th grade swim team coach Ingram would like to congratulate the top point scorers in last nights meet against formidable Hathaway Brown and University School. Eleni Saterides scored 8 points taking a second place in the 50 yard backstroke. Gerald Harris scored 3 points for the team taking a 3rd place in the 50 free style. Congratulations team.
  • New blankets are being collected for area shelters. Drop off any new blanket donations to Ms. Russo in Room 147. Spread the warmth and help someone in need!
  • The Band will host a special Movie and Pizza Party today after school in the Band room. All Band members are invited to attend! Thank you for a great second quarter!
  • Attention Juniors and Seniors:  There will be a class meeting to discuss the updated graduation requirements and to answer any questions that you may have during your lunch period today in the Auditorium.  Please be prompt, as we will only use the first part of your lunch.  Sophomores you will report to the Little Theatre on December 19th.

  • Congratulations to the top Membean performers on team Jaguar: Alecia King, Jaidyn Wilson, York Eberhardt, Erin Wilson, Dajanay Bailey, Kaya Cotton, and Anjolie Waltonen. Keep up the great work! Your efforts will pay off when you excel on the AIR test in the Spring!
  • Keep the spirit going!  Tomorrow is Winter Plaid Shirt Day.  We will end our week on Thursday the 20th with Ugly Holiday Sweater Day.
  • Attention All Students! The Junior and Senior Ambassadors are sponsoring a blanket drive for donation to area shelters. Bring a new blanket to Ms Russo in Room 147 by this Thursday.  The students in the homeroom that collects the most will have a donut breakfast on December 20th.
  • Attention Art Club Members.  Our Holiday party is after school today in room 291.  Please bring a snack or drink to share.  Party is for Art Club members only!!
  • Educators Rising is cancelled for today, December 18, 2018.  Mrs. Norton apologizes for the short notice, but she has a sick child at home.  Again, Educators Rising is cancelled for today.  Have a safe and happy holiday season and we will meet again in January.

  • Congratulations to our top sellers in the Annual Band and Orchestra Citrus Sale Fund Raiser: DeAsia Huggins. Megan Grisez(Gri-zay), Kaiya Relliford, Brian Austin, and Bryanna Hunter! You will be recognized in band and orchestra today with a Chipotle gift Card and other prizes! Way to Go!!

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Friday, December 14th.
  • Attention students and faculty members, today is the last day to submit your response about what you are grateful for. The questionnaire is available on euclidschools.org under EHS News. Your response will appear on the “Gratitude Board” which will be in the main office hallway.
  • It's time to get in the SPIRIT! Student Council is sponsoring a Holiday Spirit Week, beginning Monday, December 17. Monday the 17th is Holiday Hat Day. Tuesday the 18th is Pajama Pants Day. Wednesday the 19th is Winter Plaid Shirt Day. We will end our week on Thursday the 20th with Ugly Holiday Sweater Day.
  • The Men's swim team earned their first victory of the season Wednesday night, demonstrating some versatility while topping Villa Angela St. Joseph by a score of 22-7.  Junior Javier Harper lead the way for the Panthers, earning a first place in both of the sprint freestyle events while posting a state tournament qualifying time in the 50 Freestyle.  Sophomores Na'im Hobson and Shawn Mason demonstrated their versatility with a 1-2 finish in the Men's 100 Fly.  Hobson also picked up the victory in the 100 Backstroke.  The women's swim team fell by a score of 23-7. Sophomore Christina Saterides lead the way with a second place finish in the 100 Butterfly and a state tournament qualifying time in the 50 Freestyle.  Congratulations to Sophomore Ronasia Spates, who broke the minute barrier in the 50 Freestyle in the first meet of her career.
  • Attention all Staff Members who ordered citrus from the Band & Orchestra Fundraiser. You can pick up your orders in the band room today before 2pm. Thanks for your support!

  • Middle School Swim Team Coach's Ingram and Weintraub would like to congratulate the swim team on their victory over Bedford Haskett yesterday by a score of 122 to 61. Top scorers for the 8th grade team were Eleni Saterides and Gerald Harris each with 12 points. Sanai Sanders and Myte Jordan each scored 9 points. Grace French contributed 7 points to the score. Congratulations swimmers.

  • The Marching Band Pantherette Dance Clinic scheduled for this Saturday, December 8th has been canceled.
  • Gratitude.  The quality of being thankful.  With Christmas just around the corner, it’s easy to get wrapped up in our personal desires.  Often times we forget to show gratitude for what we currently have.  DIVINE, Daring Intellects Vigorously Innovating & Navigating Euclid is a group composed of La’Nisha Givens, Dianna Hamblin, Jan Robinson, Tosh Phoenix, and Chrissy Pondexter-Shields, that wants to remind everyone to show their gratitude.  DIVINE’s purpose is to encourage an inclusive school environment and increase school spirit, so they encourage students and faculty members to express their gratitude on a questionnaire that will be available on euclidschools.org under EHS News.  The questionnaire opens next Monday, December 10 and will close Friday, December 14.  The responses will appear on the “Gratitude Board”, which will be in the main office’s hallway.

  • There will be a Senior Class Cabinet meeting today at 2:20 p.m. in Room 296.
  • Euclid High School’s Symphonic Orchestra and Choirs will present their annual Holiday Concert on Wednesday, December 5th at 7:00pm in the Euclid High School Auditorium.  The concert will include the 8th grade orchestra, 8th grade Euclid Elite show choir, Choral Masters, the Varsity Choral Competition Show, Forte Choir, and the Symphonic Orchestra.  Admission is $3.00.
  • A reminder to all Pep band Members that our 1st Varsity basketball game is this Friday, Dec. 7. Please report to the band room by 6pm and wear your band t-shirt!

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Tuesday, December 4th. 
  • Congratulations to the top Membean achievers on Team Jaguar: York Eberhardt, Erin Wilson, Angel Randle, Dalon Clark, Quin'Nya Powell, Leroy Billips, and Chris Cole. Keep up the great work and growth mindset! You can achieve if you believe!
  • Coach Ingram, from the Eight Grade Swim Team would like to give a shout out to Gerald Harris who scored 10 points for his 2 second place finishes and 1 first place finish against Cuyahoga Heights last night.  Eleni Saterides was the top girls point swimmer with 9 points for 2 second place and 1 first place finish.  Eleni also swam the most strenuous event, the 400 Freestyle which is 16 laps without stopping.  Thanks for being a team Player Eleni.
