The following students went above and beyond last week to complete additional Membean sessions to improve their vocabulary and get a jump start on preparing for the AIR test: Ra'Niyha Little, Asia Bouie, Tristan Doolan, Amerie Vones, Raelin Phillips, Jacari Dawson, Tanaijah Thornton, CJ Terry, Shanyha Holt, Malachi Wagner, and Ailiyah Ransawy. Great job! Keep up the hard work over Winter Break!

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity. Today is Wednesday, December 12th.
  • Coach Ingram would like to congratulate the Girls Varsity Swim team on their victory over Villa Angela/St. Joes last night by a score of 66 to 22. Top scorers were Christina Saterides and Katie Stephens both with a perfect 16 point meet. These ladies took first place in all four of their events. Bella Kirchner scored 14 points. Dametria Ferguson and Cady Burr each scored 6 points. For the boys, Na'Im Hobson scored 14 points, Charlie Atwell scored 10 points, Jay Fisher scored 8 points and Gerald Harris scored 5 points. Congratulations Varsity Girls Swim team.

  • Coach Ingram would like to congratulate they boys varsity swim team for their narrow defeat over Elyria on Saturday by a score of 54-51. Top scorer for the boys were Naim Hobson with 11 points, Charlie Atwell and Jay Fisher each with 9 points. The girls lost by a margin of 15 points. Top scores for the girls were Christina Satrides, Katie Stephens and Bella Kirchner each with 12 points. Eleni Saterides scored 9 points and Demtria Ferguson scored 6 points. Congratulations team.
  • Any 8th graders interested in playing Football please meet in the Little Theatre right after school at 2:30pm.

12/06/19 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity. Today is Friday, December 6th.
  • 8th grade Coaches Tufts and Weintraub would like to give a shout out to Maddy Greenway and Anna Lisac for each scoring 13 points in last nights swim meet against formidable Hathaway Brown/University School. Both swimmers took a first and a second in their individual events. Maddy smoked her opponents in the 400 yard freestyle with a time of 6 minutes 51 seconds—30 seconds faster than the second place swimmer. Also scoring points for the team were Adia Hobson with 7 points, Anna Harris with 4.5 points and Ryan Robinson with 6 points. Congratulations swimmers. 
  • Attention all Concert Band Members. Please remember to report to your assigned room for rehearsal! Gold Band will report to the band room 7th period and blue band will report to the Choir room.
  • Boys Basketball Game vs. Mentor is canceled for this Friday Dec. 6th. It is rescheduled for Feb 4th.

  • The Senior Class Cabinet meeting scheduled for today after school has been cancelled.
  • Sophomores - on Thursday December 5th you will be invited to attend the Career Tech Expo! The Expo will take place in the West Gym from 8am until 10am. You will each have a 30 minute time slot to attend. Passes will be delivered 1st period on Thursday with your assigned time. See you there!
  • Cast of Fame- remember we will be having our first read through this Thursday December 5th, after school from 2:30-5:30. See you then!

  • Are you interested in helping change the school climate? Do you want to make decisions about the rewards students earn? Students interested in joining the PBIS team, please get your application to Mr. Moore (room 235) or Ms. McCluskey (room 134) ASAP. Additionally, students previously on the student team, and still interested in continuing with us, join us for the next meeting on December 4. All students are still welcome to join!
  • Girls Indoor track practice will now Start Tuesday Dec 3rd. You must have everything on Final forms completed in order to practice. If having trouble with Final Forms please see Ms Jones the Athletic Director.

  • A huge SHOUT! Out from Coach Nosse to senior track star Kristan Ross. Kristan just signed a Track Scholarship to Murray State University. If you see her please tell her congratulations.

  • The EHS L.E.A.D. Scholars and the I H.E.A.R.T. Youth Outreach Initiative Organizaiton would like to thank everyone that donated and got involved in this year's Turkey Day food drive. We were able to meet our goal of helping 50 Euclid families have a great holiday and pick ups of the boxes have already begun. We'd like to thank Mrs. Norton's homeroom and congratulate them on a second place placing for their large donation of 58 items. There was a tie for 3rd place between Mrs. Latessa and Ms. Colemans homeroom; we received donations, which included requested items and monetary donations from both. The winner, though, with 89 items brought in is... Dr. Mines' homeroom (371). You will receive your breakfast tomorrow during homeroom. Again we thank everyone for their continued support and we wish everyone a healthy, happy, and blessed Thanksgiving Day!

So many great original board games were created however, the following students created excellent board games and went above and beyond with creativity and details, earning votes from their peers! 11/21/19 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity. Today is Thursday, November 21st.
  • Middle School Swim Team Coaches Tufts and Weintraub would like to congratulate the team for crushing Bedford last Thursday by a score of 110 to 76. Top point earners were Adia Hobson and Easton Harris each scored 11 points, Maddy Greenway scored 10 points, Ryan Robinson scored 9 points, Amauri Loper scored 8 points and Anna Harris scored 6 points. Two swimmers scored a perfect score, winning all 4 of their events. Anna Lisac and Taylor Russell each brought home 14 points for the team. Congratulations swimmers. If you would like to watch some amazing swimmers, please join the swim team this evening at 4:30 at the high school where they will face Bedford again. Good luck team!
  • Congratulations to Ms. Henry's winners of the book game board competition: Jasmine Morgan, Camren Hart, Jameecia Johnson, Shane Jarvis, Alajiona King, and Saniyah Parks. Please see Ms. Henry for your book price! Great job!

  • Congratulations to Ms. Henry's top Membean performers: Lashawn Powell, Tayanna Henderson, Jayden Thomas, and Jaylen WIlliams. These students went above and beyond to complete extra Membean minutes. Great job!

  • Attention all EHS Homerooms!!!!! Have you brought in any items toward the Turkey Day Food drive to help your homeroom win a free Chick-Fil-A breakfast? If not, there is still time. We have 1.5 weeks left before our competition ends. Teachers, please remind students of the requested items and consider giving extra credit points or matching their donations. So far there is a tie between Ms. Norton's homeroom (126) and Dr. Mines' homeroom (371). There are a few other teachers running a close second and third place. If you have items, but they have not been picked up, please email Mrs. Davis or Dr. Mines so they can come tally your donations. The competition will end next Friday, November 22nd and all donations will benefit the families of the Euclid City School District. Let's up our donations so we can help at least 50 families this holiday season.
  • Junior/Senior Ambassadors will meet Thursday 11/14/19. See you there Room 169 at 2:30 pm.

  • Congratulations Varsity Chorale on a very moving performance at the Veteran's Day Ceremony Monday at City Hall. Your ability to learn quickly and to perform an 8 part choral piece in only three days is a testament to not only your talent, but your hard work and dedication. Mr. Pearl is very proud of you!

  • Today is Veterans Day. Veterans Day is a time for us to pay our respects to those who have served our country. We will start the morning hearing a poem about Veterans Day and then listening to Varsity Chorale sing " The Lord Bless You and Keep You". During second period today, you will also complete Veterans Day activities. Please remember to thank all Veterans because they have served our country.

  • The Library will be closed all day today for testing.
  • Attention all students going to Central State University tomorrow. Be sure to arrive at the high school at 6 am. We will leave PROMPTLY at 6:30. It is suggested that you bring some snacks for the ride down and some pocket money for the dinner stop on the way home; lunches are being provided by the University but... its always a good idea to bring a little money with you. Please dress appropriately (no exposed undergarments, bellies, or excessively ripped jeans) and to dress for the cold weather; we do walk around the campus. If you have questions, stop by and see Dr. Mines (371) or Mrs. Davis (317). We will see you EARLY in the morning. The bus will leave from by door 13.

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity. Today is Monday, November 4th.
  • Mrs. Davis, Dr. Mines, and the I HEART Youth Outreach Initiatives Organization would like to thank everyone that supported the Paint-N-Sip Fundraiser. We had an awesome time and raised some money for the Turkey Day Food Drive. If you missed it, you missed great laughs, great fun, and beautiful masterpieces. Don't worry... there be other outings for you to come hangout and give to a great cause. There is still time to get in on the homeroom competition. There will be an email sent to gage participation so far and we will begin collections later this week. Teachers, please encourage your students to get involved and give back. Remember, there is a free Chick-Fil-A breakfast up for grabs. Feed your belly and your spirit by giving back during this holiday season.   • A Class SHOUT! Out to Mr. Mita's Science classes for completing a lengthy assessment the day after Halloween. Students displayed responsibility and respect while they worked through the quiz. This was a great example of great things happening in our High School. Also, please take the time to vote tomorrow.

  • Today will be Picture retake day. If you have not had your yearbook picture taken, you may do so during your Engish class. You will be given a special pass to give you entrance into the auditorium for pictures. If you are retaking you picture, you will need to bring your proof package with you.
  • Congratulations to the Jaguar Students who are working on their 40 book challenge. As a team, we have read 335 books, which is an average of 3.8 books per student! The top readers on the team are Amilia Redman, Nick Wagner, Mark Hunter, Shanya Holt, Amber Johnson, Joseph Kuszak, Yordenny Dellion, Michael Abdulah, and Jayden Thomas. Keep up the great work!
  • There will be a short meeting today at 2:20 in the Little Theatre for anybody not in a fall sport who is interested in trying out for boys basketball. If you came to the meeting last week, you don't have to come to this one. See Coach Kane in Room 227 with any questions.

  • Coach Webster would like to thank all the students and staff that supported this past weekend's Dodgeball Tournament. There were over 20 student participants and everyone had fun. For our 1st and 2nd place winners, please stop by room 371 on Friday to get your prizes. Everyone, stay tuned for the next event and be sure to get involved. A special shoutout to William Ball for his help in recruiting students to play!

  • Join us tomorrow, Saturday, October 26th at Central Middle School for the Dodgeball Tournament. Doors open at 10:30 and teams can complete their registrations and get team info then. The games will start at 11:30. If you didnt get a chance to turn your form or team money in, don't worry. You can register onsite. We will have prizes for our winning teams, concession available, and have a good time. If you're not on a team, consider coming out to support and watch the games. We will see you tomorrow at Central Middle School.

If you look around and don't see any items in your homeroom, don't worry, there is still time.   • The band and orchestra will host their 9th Annual Pasta Dinner today before the indoor marching band concert from 4:00-7:00pm in the Euclid High School cafeteria. Advance sale tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students, and includes the concert. The marching band will present their indoor marching band concert in the East gym at 7pm following the pasta dinner! Admission is $3 if you come to the concert only.
  • Student Council meetings will resume on Tuesday, November 12th. If you signed up to work the Halloween Trick or Treat night, you will receive a reminder note by the end of the week. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Latessa in Room 296.
