05/22/17 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Monday, May 22nd
  • Congratulations to the Lady Panthers track team who competed this past weekend at the District track meet.  Caisja Chandler placed 1st in the 100 and 200 Meter Dash, Kristan Ross placed 2nd in the 200 and 400 Meter Dash and Joann Felix placed 1st in the High Jump.  All 3 ladies get to compete on Wednesday at the Austintown Fitch High School Regional track meet.
  • The E-room cafeteria will only be open from 10:55am until 1:00pm tomorrow and Wednesday.  On Thursday it will only be open from 9:10am until 11:00am.  The main cafeteria will be closed for the year starting tomorrow.
  • Commencement band should report at 4:30pm today.  We will depart for the CSU Wolstein Center at 5pm.
  • Any students in grades 7-10 interested in a fun and free summer program, join Ms. Flowers this summer here at EHS for “Summer Bridge 2017.” Applications are available in Ms.Russo & Ms. Flowers' office.  There will also be a mandatory parent meeting this Saturday at 12pm if you plan to attend.

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Friday, May 19th.
  • The E-room cafeteria will be open after finals from 10:55 until 1:00 only on Tuesday and Wednesday.  On Thursday it will be open from 9:10 until 11:00 only.  The main cafeteria will be closed for the year.
  • The NJHS has received a lot of coupons so far, but we know there are many students and staff who still haven't brought any in! It just takes a moment of your time to help a worthy cause. Go through your junk mail tonight and bring in those coupons on Monday! Give them to your homeroom teacher. And, remember, NJHS Members, new and old, are expected to bring in their family's coupons!!!
  • The Marching band will perform for Relay for Life this evening.  Band Members should arrive at 5pm in Summer Uniform.  Commencement Band should report to the high school at 4:30pm on Monday, May 22.  We will depart for the CSU Wolstein Center at 5pm and return by 9:30pm.

05/16/17 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Tuesday, May 16th.
  • Congratulations to Connor Hoffman, Alex Ridevski and Justin Fike who participated in the National BPA Competition in Orlando Florida Last week. Connor placed 1st in the Cisco Competition out of 46 participants. Alex also placed 1st out of 62 participants in the Computer Networking Competition, while Justin took 4th place. Congratulations to the Cisco Career Tech Program as this marks the second year in a row that students from the program took first place in both competitions. It is the 7th time in the last 9 years students have taken home a 1st place award.
  • Educators Rising Meeting today is at 2:30 in room 231.  We have guest speakers coming to tell us how to land the jobs we want.  Anyone interested is welcome to join us today in room 231.

The National Junior Honor Society is partnering up with Coups for Troops to collect and distribute coupons to these well deserving families.  We all get coupons in our weekly fliers at home. Next week, please bring in any and all extra coupons your family may have and turn them in to your homeroom teacher or Ms. Collins directly.  Lets all do something nice for the families of the men and women who serve our country. Bring in your coupons!!
  • The Euclid Recreation Department is offering American Red Cross Lifeguard Training for those interested. The course begins Tuesday, May 9th and takes place here at Euclid High School. The cost is $90 for participants who pass the course and commit to working for the City of Euclid and $190 for all others. You must be 15 years old by May 18th to participate. For information about course dates and times or to register call the Euclid Recreation Department at 216-289-8114.

  • Congratulations to the 8th grade tennis team who beat South Euclid Lyndhurst Middle school yesterday 3 to 2. First single, Diamond Stoves beat her opponent 8 to 3. Third Single, Ni'am Hobson beat his opponent 8 to 0. Congratulations Team.

  • A reminder to all drumline and dance team members: We will travel to the Q this Saturday, May 13th to perform for the 29th Annual Walk for Hunger.  Arrive 8am and return 12noon.  Lunch is provided.  Pre Band Camp runs Monday, May 15th through Thursday, May 19 from 4-7pm at the high school.  The marching band will perform for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Friday, May 19th from 5-7pm.

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Monday, May 8th.  I’m (Name), I’m (A2) and I’m (A3).  Welcome to the Morning Show.
  • Congratulations to Michael Rosario, Connor Hoffman and Serena Hollis for their achievements in the Cisco NetRiders USA/Canada competition. The NetRiders competitions provide students with hands-on practice and experience in a competitive environment, a chance showcase their knowledge, and create interactive networking skills. Michael Rosario place 32 out of 287 College and High School competitors placing 9th among High School competitors. Connor Hoffman placed 34th overall, 11th among High School Students. Serena Hollis was 109 out of 287, 50th among High School Students. Great job seniors representing the Cisco Tech Prep Program.

  • Attention Juniors! The deadline to sign up for the June ACT is Today!  Come to the College Now office in Room 147 for help with registration.
  • This Sunday, May 7 is the first annual PAW Awards!  For varsity student-athletes, the red carpet opens at 5:30 PM. EVERYONE is welcome to attend the awards show at 7:00 PM in the auditorium!  If you have any questions or would like to RSVP for yourself and/or your family, please come to the athletics office.
  • There will be a mandatory meeting for the Footloose cast, crew, and pit on Tuesday May 9th from 2:30-3:00pm in the choir room to discuss The Dazzle Awards and ticket information for the ceremony.  See Mr. Thorndike or Mrs. Ross with any questions.

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Wednesday, May 3rd
  • Congratulations to 8th grade tennis player Na'Im Hobson for winning his singles match 8-1 last Tuesday, against Mayfield Middle School.  Ameerah Hawthorne and Isaac Carter also defeated their opponents 8-6 in a nail biting doubles match.
  • A huge congratulations to the cast, crew, and pit on our Dazzle Nominations!  We are so proud to be nominated for Best Scenic Design and Best Choreography Execution!  There will be a mandatory meeting on Tuesday May 9th from 2:30-3:00pm in the choir room to discuss The Dazzle Awards and ticket information for the ceremony.  We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday!  See Mr. Thorndike or Mrs. Ross with any questions.
