Morning Announcements - May 18, 2023

Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. Today is Thursday, May 18, 2023 and these are your morning announcements.

THE R-FACTOR - Using the R-Factor is your choice, but no matter what happens in life, there will be events, you will have to respond to them and there will be outcomes, because that’s just the way life works. If everyone in our culture at Euclid High School was involved, did the right thing, and were adaptable when life happens, what do you think our outcomes would be? I encourage you to be disciplined in your 20 square feet and be aware of the responses you have to the events you encounter.
Bring out the best in you today by being disciplined in your responses at The Euclid High School.

Are you not doing anything during the month of July? Sign up for the impact! program! The program runs from July 5th-August 4th. Get $200 when you finish the program. Visit colleges on Fridays! Learn some test-taking strategies for the ACT! All for FREE! Keep an eye out for the impact! flyers around The Euclid High.  Stop by Room H350A or H279E if you have questions or want to sign up!

The Lady Panthers Track Team ran yesterday on the 1st day of Districts and did not disappoint.  The day started with Sophomore Raegan Smith setting a new personal best in the Shot Put 29 feet 9 inches placing 9th.  The 4 x 800 Relay of Miracle Garrett, Kourtnie Freeman, Naomi Jones and Kayla Cook placed 8th.  6 running events qualified to the finals on Friday which start at 6pm.  100 Hurdles Senior Dajanay Bailey currently 2nd, 100 Dash Junior Eve Clark currently 2nd, 200 Dash Junior Eve Clark Currently 2nd, 4 x 200 Relay Destiny Crenshaw, Mia D0uglas, Eve Clark and Dajanay Bailey currently 4th and the 4 x 100 Relay same 4 ladies also in 4th.  The top 4 in every event will move on to Regionals next week at Austintown Fitch High School. The biggest race of the day for the Lady Panthers yesterday was put in by senior Dajanay Bailey.  She ran a personal best 47.61 300 M Hurdles and is currently 1st place in the meet.  Hopefully, she will continue her winning ways when she runs on Friday to qualify for the Regionals.

Students!  Please remember our Euclid high school dress code:  shorts and skirts must be fingertip length, your stomach should NOT be showing, no sunglasses, no shirts with sleeves less than 3 fingertip in width, and no clothing with inappropriate language, pictures, or suggestive references.  You will be sent to the principal’s office if you violate these rules.

Bring out the best in you by pressing pause, getting your mind right, and cutting BCD out of your life, and have a great day at The Euclid High School.
