Morning Announcements - May 22, 2023

Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. Today is Monday, May 22, 2023 and these are your morning announcements.

THE R-FACTOR - Today I get to:
Act with Purpose
Serve People
Solve Problems
Bring Energy
Where your mind goes… You go. What are you focused on right now? I know the school year is winding down, but we still have work to do. Your R is an E for others. The way you respond to the last week of school is going to create events that others need to respond to. What are you going to do within your 20 square feet and how are you going to influence people. Let’s end the school year with doing things the right way.

Congratulations to the boys track team in competing at the 2023 District Championship meet. Junior Lamonte Hamlin placed 3rd in the 100 meter dash with a regional qualifying time of 11 seconds.  Our 4x100 relay team placed 3rd with a regional qualifying  time 42.81 seconds.  Shot thrower Chase Smith placed 4th with a regional qualifying throw of 46 feet 7 and a quarter inch. The boys track team will compete this Wednesday at 6:30 at Austintown in the Regional Championship Meet.

The Lady panthers Track Team qualified to Regionals in 5 events and will be running this Wednesday and Friday at Austintown Fitch High School. Eve Clark qualified in the 100 Meter Dash and 200 Meter Dash.  Dajanay Bailey qualified in the 100 Meter Hurdles and 300 Meter Hurdles and The 4 x 200 Meter Relay of Mia  Douglas, Destiny Crenshaw, Eve Clark and Dajanay Bailey.   Please congratulate them when you see them today in school.

Are you not doing anything during the month of July? Sign up for the Impact! program! The program runs from July 5th-August 4th. Get $200 when you finish the program. Visit colleges on Fridays! Learn some test-taking strategies for the ACT! All for FREE! Keep an eye out for the Impact! flyers around Euclid High.  Stop by Room H350A or H279E if you have questions or want to sign up!

Attention English teachers:  the PBIS team will be sending you a survey that we would like all students to complete sometime before Friday.  Thanks in advance!

Students!  Please remember our Euclid high school dress code:  shorts and skirts must be fingertip length, your stomach should NOT be showing, no sunglasses, no shirts with sleeves less than 3 fingertip in width, and no clothing with inappropriate language, pictures, or suggestive references.  You will be sent to the principal’s office if you violate these rules.

Bring out the best in you by pressing pause, getting your mind right, and cutting BCD out of your life, and have a great day at The Euclid High School.
