12/04/15 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where students are standing up together and taking control of their future!  Today is Thursday, December 3rd

  • The SAVE Environmental Club will meet today at 2:30 in room 391.  We will be making holiday ornaments out of recyclable materials, so bring anything you would like to use.   See Mr. Young or Mrs. Spivey if you have any questions.
  • Attention Key Club Members:  We will be having our meeting today at 2:45p in room 121.  We will be talking about our Lake Farm Park Country Lights Volunteering Opportunity and much more.  We will see you there!
  • The next meeting of the National Honor Society will by today at 2:30 in room 130.  See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions.
  • There will be a Stand-Up meeting today in room 263.  We will begin promptly at 2:40.   Hope to see you there!
  • Attention Juniors: There will be a meeting for the class of 2017 in room 201 from 2:00-2:30 PM on Friday, December 4. All juniors are welcome.
  • The student newspaper will meet this Friday, December 4th at 2:00 in room 269.  Please share ideas and articles for the upcoming issue using Google docs.  If you missed the initial sign up meeting please see Mrs. Aponte-Brown in room 269 and attend the meeting on Friday.
  • Attention all students! It is time to pre-order your yearbook and lock in the discounted price of $45.  Bring cash, check or money order to Room 298 along with your order form.  Extra order forms are located in the media center.  To guarantee a book this year, you must pre-order. Seniors, your recognition ads must be ordered by December 18th.  Yearbook prices will go up after Winter Break!  See Mrs. Gaul in room 298 with any questions.
  • The next Ohio Math League contest will be Tuesday Dec 8 during IE or after school in room 130.  See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions.
  • Euclid High School’s Symphonic Orchestra and Choirs will present their annual Holiday Concert on Wed. Dec. 9 at 7:00pm in the Euclid High School Auditorium.  Admission is $3.00.  Hope to see you there!!
  • (A2)  The EHS Fall play, "The Madwoman of Chaillot" will open next Thursday in the little theater and run from December 10 to December 13.  Tickets can be purchased at the door.  Tickets are $8 for students and $10 for adults; or $7 for students/$9 for adults with a canned good item.  A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to doctors without borders.
  • Do you need help getting your resume together for your holiday or summer job opportunities?  If your answer is YES, then stop by the Guidance Dept. to sign up for our Job Readiness Workshop.  We will focus on resume writing for that prospective job.  The first Workshops will be held next week on Tuesday, December 8th and again Thursday, December 10th during the lunch periods in Rm. 147.  You may sign-up anytime during the day until Friday, December 4th in the guidance office with Miss Payne.

  • Students!  There will be an Alateen meeting today in Room 209 during I/E (2pm). All who are interested and not having to attend I/E with a teacher are welcome.  Alateen is a group that allows teens to find solutions when a loved one is effected by drug or alcohol problems!  See Ms. Russo or Mr.Fletcher for any questions.
  • The orchestra and band will be hosting a fundraiser at Applebees in Willoughby tonight. Please plan on eating out to support the band and orchestra. You must obtain an Applebees flyer in the band room. See you this evening at Applebees in Willoughby near the Cracker Barrel!
  • If you want to compete in the circle with pride, and stay in condition for next season, please see Coach Turk in Room 107 this week about joining the wrestling team.  We are looking for students that weigh from 100 pounds to 300 pounds.

  • Saturday’s football game verses St. Edward is in the running to be the Brown's Game of the Week!  To cast you vote for Euclid High School go to clevelandbrowns.com.  Support our Panthers!
  • There is a lunch menu change this week due to the field trip on Friday.  We will be having Grilled Cheese on Thursday, and Chicken with a twist on Friday.  Please plan accordingly.
  • The results from the November Ohio Math League Contest are in. Congratulations to Jessica Lisy for getting the highest score. Luke Johnson was second and Kennedy Johnson was third. For the year Luke Johnson is first, Kennedy Johnson is second, and Jayne D'Arcy is third. The next contest will be December 8.
  • A role has opened up in fall play and is now available.  Those who are SERIOUSLY INTERESTED should come down to the little theater after school to speak with the director.  Again, serious inquiries only.  We are also looking for additional crew members.  If interested please come after school to the little theater as well.  Lastly, fall play will resume their after school bake sale along with a 50/50 raffle contest that will run from now until December 4. Tickets can be bought at the same table as the bake sale and the winner will be announced at the December 10th performance.

  • Attention all students interested in Big Show Cast, Crew, or Orchestra.  It is time to start our show!  This year Euclid High School will be presenting "West Side Story."  There will an informational meeting on Wednesday November 18, 2015 from 2:30-3:15pm in the choir room.  In this meeting we will sign students up for crew and orchestra and discuss the audition process for this year's show.  Attendance at this meeting is extremely important.  Please make your plans to be there.  See Mrs. Ross in the choir room with any questions.  We look forward to seeing you on the 18th!
