03/29/19 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity. Today is Friday, March 29th.
  • Results are in for the first round of The 2019 Book Championship. Books advancing to the Great 8 are: The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas, The Fault In Our Stars by John Green, Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate DiCamillo, When I Was the Greatest by Jason Reynolds, The Giver by Lois Lowry, Wonder by R. J. Palacio, Dear Martin by Nic Stone, and To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Round 2 voting starts Monday in your English class. Don’t get left out of the voting to help determine which books advance to the semi-final round. 
  • The results of the last Ohio Math League contest are in. Congratulations to Roummell Harris for winning this contest and being the champion for the year. Evan Botzki finished second in this contest and was also the runner up for the year. Evan scored his 400th career point and finished 7th on the all time list. Dylan Gray finished in third place on this contest. Isabel Baca finished in fourth place on this contest and was in third place for the year. Kaleb Johnson placed fifth in this contest. Nate is in fourth place for the year, and is in 11th place on the all time list. Ashawn Berry finished in fifth place for the year. Thank you to everyone that participated in this year's contest.
  • Euclid Yoga Club members yoga is today! See you at the mats!
  • Join the SAVE Club for the Big Clean on Saturday, April 6 at 9:00 at Villa Angela St. Joes and help clean up the community! See Mr. Young or Ms. Spivey if you have questions.
  • The next meeting of the National Honor Society will be Tuesday, April 2 after school in room 342. See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions.
  • Attention all EHS students, did you know that Euclid High School hosts a pantry that allows you to access everyday needs? If you are experiencing difficulty at school or outside of school, the Panther Pantry might be able to help. The pantry is currently stocked with personal hygiene items, foods, clothes, coats/shoes, and some school supplies. If you are interested in accessing the supplies, simply speak to one of your teachers and they will assist you. The process is discreet and anonymous to other staff and students. We are a community within the community and are here to help each other succeed. Teachers please post a flyer in your classrooms about the pantry. If you have any questions, please stop by and see Mrs. Davis (317) or Dr. Mines (371). "It takes a strong person to pretend everything is ok when its not but it takes an even stronger person to admit things are not ok and ask for help." We are here to help.

  • The Book Championship continues! Round 1 voting has been extended and now ends today at 3:00pm. Vote today in your English class to help determine which books advance to the next round. 
  • Attention Publication staff: we will have a meeting toady in room 298 after school. Bring your story ideas for our final edition of the Survey! See you there.
  • Euclid Yoga Club members! Let's get back to our mats this Friday! Feeling the love of self, paying attention to the body, and lifting our spirit! Let's get back to Yoga this Friday! See you at the mats!

  • The Book Championship is on! Round 1 voting ends today at 3:00pm. Vote in your English class to help determine which books advance to the next round. Will The Book Thief steal a win from The Giver? Will Truly Devious outlast The Hate U Give? Is The Testing too much for Dear Martin? Help decide these and other questions by being a part of this year’s competition. Vote today in your English class.
  • Congratulations to the top Membean performers on team Jaguar: Quinten Bradford, Seante Hodge, Destiny Kinsey, Tyreasure Mason, Jalen Fisher, Dalon Clark, Dariya Rodgers, Quin'Nya Powell, LeRoy Billips, Jadon Young, and Malikah Abdul-Wali. Keep up the great work as you prepare for the AIR test!

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity. Today is Tuesday, March 26th. 
  • Congrats to the boys track team who started out the outdoor season with a bang yesterday winning the Spire Invitational in Geneva. Great job everyone!
  • The bracket is set for Sweet Sixteen voting in the 2nd Annual Euclid High School Book Championship! Don’t forget to vote today in your English class to help determine which books advance to the Great Eight. Last year’s champion, The Outsiders, has been retired and sixteen brand new combatants have accepted the challenge to see who will come out on top this year. So be a part of this year’s competition and vote this week in your English class.
  • The last Ohio Math League contest of the year will be today after school in room 342. See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions
  • Attention SAVE Environmental Club! We will have a brief meeting today at 2:30 in room 391. We will plan a spring hike and other activities. If you cannot attend or have any questions see Mr. Young or Mrs. Spivey.

  • All boys competing in today’s track meet need to meet in the stadium after 5th period today.
  • Chinese Club Members! We have a Chinese Club meeting after school today! See you in the Chinese classroom!

  • Good Luck Euclid Baseball Team as you open your season tomorrow with a home doubleheader against Brush and Riverside High School starting at 11am on our home field. Come support our baseball team!
  • The last Ohio Math League contest of the year will be Tuesday March 26 after school in room 342. See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions
  • All 8th grade students that are going on the Washington DC trip should return your completed forms to the 8th grade office by today.

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity. Today is Thursday, March 21st.
  • Teachers, at this time, please pass out the day 3 Scenario for the school-wide PBIS expectations review. Once students have completed the bellwork, discuss the positive ways in which the situation provided can be handled. Please collect bellworks and put then in the corresponding grade-level boxes in the mailroom. The PBIS team will pick winners for each grade level on Friday.
  • Today we have a SHOUT! Out from Mr. Young to his first period physical science class. You all did an amazing job demonstrating covalent bonds using the molecule kits. Your future chemistry teachers would be proud!
  • Attention publishing staff: there is no meeting today. See you next week!

  • Congratulations to Ms. Henry's top Membean performers who worked diligently to improve their vocabulary over Spring Break: Erin Wilson, Jalen Fisher, Jadon Young, Charles Atwell, Nazyia Mitchell. Reggie Priah and Sha' Ron Johnson. Keep up the great work and growth mindset as we prepare for the AIR test!

  • Students attending the 8th grade DC trip, please report to the 8th grade office at the end of the announcements.
  • Seniors - there are several scholarship opportunities with deadlines quickly approaching. Spring Break will be a great time for you to work on completing and submitting your scholarship applications. You can access these scholarships by logging into Naviance. In addition, feel free to stop by the EHS library during lunch periods today. We will have copies available for you to grab. 
  • The boys basketball team will play for the district championship tomorrow, March 9 at 2:30 pm. The game is at Solon High School. Please come out and support the team!
