Sophomores, Class of 2025! (and some juniors)! Next Wednesday, October 12, you will be taking the PSAT/NMSQT in the North Wing. The PSAT/NMSQT is the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test and National Merit Scholarship Qualification Test. This assessment is used as a counseling and diagnostic tool for coursework and college/career planning. This week in your history classes you will be completing information on your answer sheets. Your testing rooms will be posted in the cafeteria today. Your teachers will also have a copy of the testing room list. Stay tuned for more details tomorrow!

Homecoming is almost here, so let's crown our Nobility and Royalty! Voting for Homecoming Court will begin TODAY! Voting will end WEDNESDAY! Look around the school for the QR code that will take you to the ballot! Winners will be announced during the halftime show at Friday's football game.
Attendance - We need you to stay in the game! Staying in the game means coming to school. Overall for the month of September 85.76% of EHS students were present in attendance, and Seniors lead the way with 89.31% of them present in school. That means Mrs. O and the class of 2023 are our Attendance Champions for the month of September!!! The Top Attendees will get a chance to take a picture with the Attendance Title this week. If you want to take a picture with the belt, compete and get to school. Ms. Clemmons, Mrs. Platko, Mr. Walker challenge Ms. O and the class of 2023 for the Attendance Title! This month I am setting a schoolwide goal of 87%. Students let your assistant principal know some fun things you would be interested in when we reach our goal.
Sports Updates:
Attention swimmers. There will be an informational meeting on Monday October 31st at 3:00 in the Little Theater for anyone interested in joining the swim team. You will be required to have your medical clearance in Final Forms before you can begin swimming. You must also be academically eligible to join a winter sport. The first day of practice is Tuesday November 1st. You must have an appropriate practice suit and goggles before you can enter the water. Practices runs 3-5 Monday through Friday. If you have any questions please contact Coach Ingram through the athletic department.

The Girls Soccer Game today versus Garfield has been canceled. The next time they play will be, Wednesday, October 5th at Mentor. The game starts at 7:00
This Thursday, October 6th Boys Soccer has an away game at John Marshall. The game begins at 5:00
Tonight. Volleyball has a big home game against Solon. Come on out and support the Volleyball Panthers. JV starts at 5:00 and varsity will follow, their game time is scheduled for 6:30. I want to see a student section getting loud supporting the volleyball team!
On Friday the Football team destroyed Erie with a big win 35-7. Congratulations to the Varsity Football Panthers on getting their first win of the season. They take on Strongsville this Friday here at home. Game starts at 7:00.
On Saturday The JV and Varsity Football Teams battled against Erie. The Freshman shut out Erie 18-0 and the JV lost 30-12.

Hispanic Heritage Month - This year, the National Council of Hispanic Employment Program Managers (NCHEPM) announced that the Hispanic Heritage Month Observance Theme was "Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation." The 2022 theme "encourages us to ensure that all voices are represented and welcomed to help build stronger communities and a stronger nation," the NCHEPM said in a statement. Ms. Ily Soares, a supervisory accountant at Farm Credit Administration (FCA), submitted the winning theme.

Are you looking for FREE after school ACT/SAT test prep? College Now Greater Cleveland is offering the impACT! program at Euclid High School! The first session begins September 26th. Sessions are after school from 2:30 until 5:30pm. Students who complete the program will earn a $200 stipend, and will be eligible for future college tours, internships and more! Attendance - September is Attendance Month. Each week I will be looking at Attendance data to determine who are best attendees are. Our Attendance champions will be recognized. Last week our seniors were the best with 89.75% attendance. At the end of the month I will be crowning an attendance champion. Right now Mrs. O’s class is leading the way. Show up so we can keep learning every day!
