02/06/19 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity. Today is Wednesday, February 6th.
  • Black History fact for today, February 6: In 1867, the Peabody Fund for Black Education in the South was established. Founded out of necessity after the American Civil War, the fund promoted the "intellectual, moral, and industrial education" for newly freed slaves. A special shout out to all of our seniors who are keeping the gift of education going by working to finish strong and get ready for college in the fall. Today is also the birthday of the late, great Bob Marley. He said "Never forget your history nor your destiny." Be great ALWAYS!
  • The Lady Panthers track team ran yesterday against John Hay, Harvey and Laurel. The top 6 performers of the meet were Adaya Lemon with a new personal best in the shot put at 35 feet 8 inches, Kristan Ross in the 600m dash at 1:47, Talia Mclin at 13.87 in the 100m dash, Saundra Hull at 2:41 in the 800m run. Two Lady Panthers broke school records. Freshman Jade Neal broke the 600m dash record set in 2012, with a time of 1:45 and Sophomore Cori Crump broke the 30m hurdles record set in 2002, with a time of 4:66. Awesome job!
  • As part of the Fit In February Initiative, let's do something kind for someone. Today kicks off a month full of Random Acts of Kindness in an effort to improve the mental and emotional health of our EHS family. As you walk through the hall share a smile, hold a door, give a compliment, or share a snack with someone and let them know they matter. If you receive or see an act of kindness, pay it forward and spread it to someone else. February is the month of love so... let's get involved.
  • There will be a Senior Class Cabinet meeting today at 2:20 p.m. in Room 296. We will be discussing prom and after prom. See you there!
  • Girls track practice is cancelled today. Everyone must be at track practice tomorrow.
  • Attention 8th graders. Anyone interested in playing baseball this year, please report to room 293 on Thursday at 2:30pm to meet with Coach Bunton. In addition any 10-12th grade students who have not been at off-season workouts for baseball and are interested in playing baseball please also meet in room 293 to meet with Coach Zeffer.
