• Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity. Today is Friday, February 8th.
• Black History fact for today, February 8: In 1986, Oprah Winfrey became the first African-American woman to host a nationally syndicated talk show. Her talk show ran from 1986 until 2011, when she started her OWN Television Network. On this platform she features mostly non-scripted lifestyle programming that is targeted towards the African-American community. Oprah Winfrey continues to use her platform to influence education, politics, and lifestyles, in general. We honor Oprah Winfrey today for her tenacity, her hard work, and her willingness to give back. In the words of Oprah Winfrey, "Challenges are gifts that force us to search for a new center of gravity. Don’t fight them. Just find a new way to stand.”
• Congratulations to Robert Straubhaar. He is the 2019 champion of the Pre Calculus synthetic division tournament. Robert won a very close match with Kayla Granito who was the runner up. Thank you to all of the participants.
• For the next week, the L.E.A.D. Scholars would like to encourage everyone to simply... BE KIND. Too often we underestimate the power of a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, or an honest compliment. We hope that the compliment you received on your locker today made you smile and set the tone for a great day. Let this be your inspiration to spread joy to someone else as you go through your day. Mark Twain said, "Kindness is the language that even the deaf can hear and the blind can see." Be kind today and always!
• Presale tickets for the Euclid vs. VASJ boys basketball game are available today in the athletics office until 3:30 PM. Adult tickets are $6.00 and student tickets are $4.00 for presale.
• Attention all students interested in working crew for big show. We will be having a brief meeting in the choir room today at 2:30. We will start set construction the following Monday. All crew members must have a signed permission slip. Please see Mr. McGill or Mr. Pearl for more information.
• Chinese Club members! Confucius Institute Chinese New Year is this Saturday, if you ordered tickets, please come to room 226 to pick up your tickets! Please come pick up your tickets for Chinese New Year this Saturday! Come to Room 226.
• The next contest of the Ohio Math League will be Tuesday, February 12 after school in room 342. All are welcome to participate. See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions.
• There will be a girls outdoor track meeting next Tuesday, February 12th after school in the little theatre. See coach Nosse if you miss the meeting.
• Attention all National Honor Society candidates. Remember that your application packets are due by Wednesday, February 13. See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions.
• Euclid Yoga Club! Our Yoga class will be next Wed. We will join Dr. Mines' Yoga session. See you all next Wednesday!
