02/14/19 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity. Today is Thursday, February 14th.
  • Black History fact for today, February 14: On this day in 1847, Morehouse College was organized in Augusta, Georgia. The institution was later moved to Atlanta, Georgia. Dubbed as the College of choice for black men, Morehouse is a private, all male, liberal arts, historically black college with a rich history and engrained in tradition. Morehouse is one of two historically black colleges in the country to produce Rhodes Scholars, and it is the alma mater of many African American community and civil leaders. Alumni include Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Herman Cain, Samuel L. Jackson, Spike Lee, and countless others. On this day in 1817, Frederick Douglass, was born into slavery as Frederick Baile. Douglass purchased his freedom in 1845 and went on to become the greatest orator and abolitionist of his time.
  • A SHOUT Out! goes out today from Ms. Henry to her 6th period class for having the most students complete ALL Membean sessions. Keep up the great work!
  • The L.E.A.D.Scholars would like to thank everyone that attended our yoga class yesterday; with 15 students in attendance, we had an awesome time. A special shout out to Ms. Lorko who taught the class and helped us relax our minds, bodies, and spirits and Ms. Chinchar for her support and participation. Be sure to join us next week for our Zumba class, Wednesday from 3-4pm. All are welcome. Another thanks to everyone that participated in the door-decorating contest. We had over 30 entries to the contest and some awesome displays of African-American history and accomplishments. Due to a scheduling conflict with the judges, we won't be able to announce the winner until Tuesday, February 19th. We apologize for the inconvenience. Students and staff, as you walk through the halls look (but don't touch) the wonderful and creative door displays throughout the halls.
