• Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity. Today is Thursday, February 7th.
• Black History fact for today, February 7: In 1872, Alcorn A & M College, now known as Alcorn State University (located in Mississippi) was opened in an effort to educate the families of Freed slaves in the south. On this day in 1926, Negro History Week was originated by Mr. Carter G. Woodson and observed for the 1st time. In 1976 it became known as, what we now call it, Black History Month. Let's celebrate our history in honor of Mr. Woodson, others before us, and those yet to come!
• A class SHOUT! Out from Mr. Mita to his 3rd period class where all of his Advanced Biology students were present and engaged while taking their Gene Regulation Exam. Great job! Carry on.
• For the next week, the L.E.A.D. Scholars would like to encourage everyone to simply... BE KIND. Too often we underestimate the power of a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, or an honest compliment. We hope that the compliment you received on your locker today made you smile and set the tone for a great day. Let this be your inspiration to spread joy to someone else as you go through your day. Mark Twain said, "Kindness is the language that even the deaf can hear and the blind can see." Be kind today and always!
• Pre-sale tickets for the Euclid vs VASJ boys basketball game are available today until 5:00 PM in the athletics office and on Friday from 8:30 AM until 3:30 PM. Adult tickets are $6.00 and student tickets are $4.00 for pre-sale.
• Hey Publishing Staff! Please remember we have a meeting today after school in room 298! See you there!
• Attention 8th graders. Anyone interested in playing baseball this year, please report to room 293 today at 2:30pm to meet with Coach Bunton. In addition any 10-12th grade students who have not been at off-season workouts for baseball and are interested in playing baseball please also meet in room 293 to meet with Coach Zeffer. Tryouts/Practice start February 19th at 2:30pm.
• Attention all students interested in working crew for big show. We will be having a brief meeting in the choir room this Friday at 2:30 we will start set construction the following Monday. All crew members must have a signed permission slip. Please see Mr McGill or Mr Pearl for more information.
• The next contest of the Ohio Math League will be Tuesday, February 12 after school in room 342. All are welcome to participate. See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions.
• Attention all National Honor Society candidates. Remember that your application packets are due by Wednesday, February 13. See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions.
