08/23/16 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Tuesday, August 23rd.   
  • The Renaissance Leader Council will meet today at 2:00 in room 295.  All council members should attend.
  • The first Student Council meeting will kick off tomorrow, Wednesday, August 24th at 2:30 p.m. in Room 296. We have lots of work to do to get ready for this year's Homecoming festivities. If you've been thinking about joining, now's the time! If you have any questions or can't make this week's meeting and want to know more, please see Mrs. Latessa in Room 296 or Mrs. Pollack in Room 263.
  • Dance Team and Drum Line will practice Today after school. Full Band Practice is Wednesday after school. Thursday all band and orchestra members are excused 3rd and 4th period for the 4th & 5th Grade Recruitment Rally. Thursday evening the marching band kicks of the 2016 season at the Glenville Game. All band members should report at 5:15pm.
  • Students can purchase pre-sale tickets to this week's football game versus Glennville at lunch periods on Tuesday and Wednesday. Tickets will be available in both cafeterias. Pre-Sale tickets are $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students. All Tickets at the door are $6.00.
  • Attention all CRAVE members! Please meet Mrs. Pesch in her new room (398) tomorrow at 2:30 to discuss the start of year activities.  Again, all CRAVE members please come to 398 on Wednesday, August 24th at 2:30.  Thank you!
  • Do you like the outdoors? Going on hikes? Being good to the environment? Then the SAVE Environmental Club is the club for you! Please join us for our first meeting this Thursday, August 25th after school in room 392. See Mr. Young or Mrs. Spivey if you have any questions.
  • Are you interested in getting involved? Join Foreign Language Club and get involved globally. Come to the meeting on Tuesdays in room 229 and learn more.
  • “impACT the 216” is an 8-week tri-annual program that focuses on ACT preparation and college and career readiness.  The goal of the this program is to help students meet state and local standards in core academic subject areas, specifically mathematics and reading.  The “impACT the 216” team works towards enhancing ACT test-taking strategies, providing enrichment activities that complement students’ regular academic programming and giving students the necessary tools to prepare for postsecondary education.  Each 8-week session includes two ACT practice exams, two parent sessions, a parent orientation before session begins and a college and career project.  The program is held at 7 different sites, including the Euclid Public Library, Eastman Library, Esperenza, Martin Luther King Jr. Library, Rice Library, South Brooklyn Library and Warrensville Heights High School.  If you have any questions about the program please visit us in the College Now office.  If you’re interested in joining “impACT the 216” please go to the website at “collegenowgc.org/impact-the-216.”
