  • There will be a menu change for today in the school cafeteria. The menu will be Tuna noodle casserole, glazed carrots, tropical fruit and a roll. This menu change will not affect the Subway reward for referral-free students.

Keep up the great work as we prepare for the AIR test! 
  • A reminder that boy's track practice starts today. All track athletes are to meet in the old stadium at 3:30 everyday this week. If you have any questions, see coach gibbons in room 323.

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity. Today is Monday, March 9th. 
  • Congratulations to Mrs. Walsh-Hilf's high Membean Achievers for the past two weeks. The following students have been studying higher order vocabulary for additional minutes, that will help them understand any reading passage on the upcoming ELA AIR test taking place in 12 instructional days. Congrats to Jayla Parker, Javeon Smith, Riyan McAbrew, Jayvon Ash, Armony Weaver, Essence Blankenship, Nandi Grant and Katyia Wade. Another special shout out to Katyia Wade for completing her full Membean Minutes every week this quarter. 
  • Attention 8th-grade NJHS candidates. Please bring your completed NJHS packet to our first meeting on March 11, 2020. We will meet in room 226 from 2:20 until 3:15. Please make arrangements for transportation home. Bring ideas on service projects we could participate in during this school year.
  • 8th grade boys and girls track and grades 9-12 girls outdoor track start today.

  •  Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity. Today is Friday, March 6th. 
  • The 8th-grade teams would like to thank everyone who supported the book fair. We reached $1500 in sales and earned Scholastic dollars to support our students. Your support was greatly appreciated!
  • The APCC will be meeting in room 261 today due to musical rehearsal. Today, we will be watching the Korean Drama "Romance is a Bonus Book" and watching a short documentary on The Way of the Samurai. See you then!
  • The next GSA meeting will be March 13th at 2:30 pm in Room 147.
  • Attention 8th-grade NJHS candidates. Please bring your completed NJHS packet to our first meeting on March 11, 2020. We will meet in room 226 from 2:20 until 3:15. Please make arrangements for transportation home. Bring ideas on service projects we could participate in during this school year.
  • 8th grade track practice starts 3:10 on Monday only
  • Girls Outdoor Track will start Monday Outside in the Old football stadium. The locker room on the right side will be our locker room. We will have a meeting at 2:30.

  • The Art Department invites everyone to attend the First Annual Student Art Exhibit at the Euclid Public Library. We will have an Opening Reception on Thursday, March 5th from 6 - 7:30 pm at Euclid Public Library. This event is FREE and open to the public. The artwork will be on display in Euclid Public Library's gallery for the entire month of March.
  • There will be no GSA meeting this Friday. Next meeting March 13th at 2:30 pm in Room 147.

  • The LEAD Scholars would like to thank everyone who participated in our Black History Door decorating contest. In third place we’d like to congratulate Mr. Cleaver and his team with their tribute to Fisk University. In second place there was a tie. Congratulations to Ms. Baukmann and her team with their tribute to Jackson State University and congratulations to Mrs. Davis and her team; they presented a door duo honoring Florida A&M university and Alabama State University. And now for 1st place... there was also a tie. Congratulations to Mrs. Langford & her team with their tribute to Morehouse College and Mr. Baca and his team with their tribute to Grambling State University. Congratulations to all the staff and students that participated and helped educate our students about their options and the rich history of HBCUs. Prizes will be delivered to the 1st place teams on Friday!

  • Congratulations to our Drumline and Pantherette Dance Team on an outstanding performance at Accelerate Cleveland. The drumline and dance team performed to over 500 guests at the Global Center for Health Inovation at this special event in downtown Cleveland.

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity. Today is Wednesday, February 26th.
  • In honor of HBCUs and in preparation for our Black History Program this Friday, the L.E.A.D. Scholars would like to share an HBCU fact with you each day. Today's HBCU moment spotlights the city of Nashville, TN; home of 3 HBCUs, Fisk University, Tennessee State University, and Meharry Medical College. In 1865, barely six months after the end of the Civil War and just two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, three men — John Ogden, the Reverend Erastus Milo Cravath, and the Reverend Edward P. Smith — established the Fisk School in Nashville. Now, Fisk University, it has a curriculum grounded in the liberal arts. Fisk University produces graduates from diverse backgrounds with the integrity and intellect required for true contributions to society. Fisk University emphasizes the discovery and advancement of knowledge through research in the natural and social sciences, business and the humanities. Notable alumni include, W.E.B. Tennessee State University was founded in 1912 and is the largest and only state-funded historically black university in Tennessee.   • In Boys Indoor Track News:  Congrats to Senior John Brown for qualifying for the Division 1 Boys Indoor State Meet in the Weight Throw, Good Luck John! Also, there will be a meeting for all those interested in running track this spring.  The meeting will take place in the Indoor Track this Thursday at 4 PM. If you are not able to make the meeting, please see Coach Gibbons in Room 323.
  • The drumline and Pantherettes will perform at a special event called Accelerate Cleveland on Thursday Feb. 27 followed by our Black History Month Assembly on Friday.
  • VC will bring on the Apocolypse again this Saturday at 12pm at Twinsburg High School. Please come out and support your fellow choir members!

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity. Today is Tuesday, February 25th. 
  • In honor of HBCUs and in preparation for our Black History Program this Friday, the L.E.A.D. Scholars would like to share an HBCU fact with you each day. Today's HBCU spotlight recognizes Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. Morehouse was founded in 1867 in the basement of Springfield Baptist Church in Augusta, Ga., by the Rev. William Jefferson White and moved to Atlanta in 1885. Starting as Augusta Institute, the institution was created to educate black men for careers in ministry and teaching. Morehouse is the world’s only HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) for men. It has produced four Rhodes Scholars, several college presidents, and leaders in many other fields. Morehouse's mission is to develop men with disciplined minds who will lead lives of leadership and service. Morehouse realizes this mission by emphasizing the intellectual and character development of its students. In addition, the College assumes special responsibility for teaching the history and culture of black people.   • And now for news from our Music Department. Congratulations to freshmen Cadence Burr who performed with The Notre Dame High School honors band this past weekend at Notre Dame College. Cadence participated with top high school musicians from around Northeast Ohio and had the opportunity to work with college directors! Congratulations Cadence! Congratulations to our drumline on an outstanding performance at the Lake Erie Folk Festival at Shore Cultural Center this past Saturday. The drumline made their second appearance at the festival and performed to a packed house! Way to go Drumline. The drumline and Pantherettes will perform at a special event called Accelerate Cleveland on Thursday Feb. 27 followed by our Black History Month Assembly on Friday.
  • Please congratulate members of Euclid's Varsity Choral for coming home with a second place trophy from their competition at Solon High School this past weekend. This is the second time VC has out-sang six other choirs and took home some serious hardware. In addition, please congratulate Ayana Sickles who won "Best Perfomer" out of all 12 choirs that were at the competition. VC will bring on the Apocolypse again this Saturday at 12pm at Twinsburg High School. Please come out and support your fellow choir members!

  • The L.E.A.D. Scholars would like to hank everyone who got involved during our Fit in February Initiative. We'd also like to thank those students and teachers that participated in the HBCU Door Decorating Contest. Judging will begin today and the winners will be announced Friday. We apologize for the delay. In honor of HBCUs and in preparation for our Black History Program this Friday, we'd like to share an HBCU fact with you each day. Today's fact is about Central Statue University, one of the only 2 HBCUs located in Ohio. Central State originally began as a department within Wilberforce University, an HBCU founded in 1856. The initial focus was on vocational and teacher education. It branched off and was officially named in 1965. Located in Wilberforce Ohio, Central State University houses undergraduate majors, from business, to education, to engineering, and the social sciences. Central State University believes in the education and success of African-American students and that is engrained into its rich history. With Wilberforce University right across the street, the campus life and educational atmosphere is grand. To learn more about Central State University, visit centralstate.edu.

  • The L.E.A.D. Scholars invite everyone to come join us today for a Zumba Class from 2:45-3:45. Zumba is a Latin-inspired cardio-dance workout that can contain every music type from jazz, to Afro-beats, to hip-hop, and so much more. It is designed to get you moving, laughing, and having a great time all while working out. No experience is needed. Just bring comfy clothes, gym shoes, and a desire to move. We will meet by the girls gym at 2:35. If you have questions, stop by and see Mrs. Davis (317) or Dr. Mines (371). Bring a friend!

Zumba is a Latin-inspired cardio-dance workout that can contain every music type from jazz, to Afro-beats, to hip-hop, and so much more. It is designed to get you moving, laughing, and having a great time all while working out. No experience is needed. Just bring comfy clothes, gym shoes, and a desire to move. We will meet by the girls gym at 2:35. If you have questions, stop by and see Mrs. Davis (317) or Dr. Mines (371). Bring a friend!

  • Please be sure to congratulate Euclid Varsity Choral for getting a second place trophy at the Walsh Jesuit Show Choir Competition that took place on February 1st. In addition, please congratulate Kaleb Johnson for receiving an individual award for "Best Performer." VC's season isnt finished yet! We will be performing and competing at Solon High School on February 22 and Twinsburg High School on February 29th. Come watch us bring on the Apocalypse!
  • Panther nation boys basketball will play Mentor today starting at 4:30pm. We want to have a white out at this game! If you show your I.D. starting at 5:30pm until 6:00pm you will be able to get a free shirt. Yes, a free panther shirt! Your I.D. must be present!   • Congratulations to the top Membean performers on team Jaguar: Shanyha Holt, Shayonna Shurney, Ailyah Ransaw, Isys Webster, and Lamarion Baldwin. These students went above and beyond to complete additional minutes as we prepare for the AIR test.
  • Congratulations to the Varsity Girls swim team who beat Wickliffe last night in a double dual at Parma High School. The Lady Panthers been Wickliffe by a score of 39 to 30. Christina Saterides took first place in 3 of her 4 events. Katie Stephens took a first in one of her events. Scoring for the boys was Na'Im Hobson who took first place in two of his events and Charlie Atwell took first place in one event. Gerald Harris swam the 500 free for the first time and ended with an impressive time. Congratulations Varsity swim team.

The Euclid Youth Council is a new and unique opportunity for students to make connections and work to make meaningful change.   • The Black History Month door-decorating contest hosted by the L.E.A.D. SCHOLARS begins today with final doors being due February 13th. This is a contest celebrating the historically Black colleges & universities (HBCUs) across the country. Teams should begin assembling their classroom door decorations highlighting a HBCU, the accomplishments of the college and those that attended the University. If you are still interested, ask a teacher if they will be willing to assist and have that teacher confirm the room number and all group members via email. We are looking for teams of no more than 5 (1 teacher and up to 4 students) to design/decorate classroom doors highlighting a HBCU, the accomplishments of the college and those that attended the University. If you are interested, ask a teacher if they will be willing to assist and have that teacher confirm the room number and all group members via email. This contest will begin Jan. 29th with final doors being due Feb 13th. The winner will be announced on Feb. 20th during the morning announcements.   • Congratulations to Mrs. Walsh-Hilf's high Membean Achievers who went above and beyond on their Membean minutes this week. Congrats to Quisean Berry, Essence Blankenship, Mariah Al-Alamin keep up the good work and Growth Mindset as you grow your vocabulary and work towards increasing your scores for the AIR test.
  • Congratulations to the Varsity Swim team in their performance Friday night at Cleveland Heights High School in Four Way Dual against Wickliffe and Laurel. Coach Ingram would like to give a special shout out to Jayden Fisher, Charlie Atwell and Cadence Burr who swam the 500 freestyle for the first time. Charlie swam the long distance event in an impressive 6 minutes, 57 seconds--very impressive for a first time freshman swimmer. Cadence took a first place in the 500 against Wickliffe. Damitria took a first place in the 100 butterfly against Wickliffe and Laurel. Top scorers for the team were Na'Im Hobson with 14 points, Christina Saterides with 12 points, Charlie Atwell with 10 points, Damitria Ferguson, Cadance Burr, Bella Kirchner each with 9 points. Congratulations swimmers.

  • Panther Nation if you are interested in playing softball please sign-up in the athletic department with Ms. Jones.
  • Attention all students interested in auditioning for the 2020-21 Marching Band Dance Team: The Pantherettes or Drum Major, there will be a mandatory kick off meeting Monday, February 10 at 6pm in the band room. Practices will run from Tuesday Feb. 11 through Thursday Feb. 27 in the upper level of the Boys Gym from 3-5:30pm. Auditions are on Friday Feb. 28 after school.

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity. Today is Wednesday, January 22nd.
  • Congratulations to Mrs. Walsh-Hilf's top Membean Achievers who went above and beyond their required minutes, including doing Membean over Winter Break! Great job: Cortez Jones, Javeon Smith, Brooke Echols, Karlton Ferguson, Alayna Lanier, Riyan McAbrew, Zinniah Robinson, Jason Bonner, D.J. Brantley, Quoron Robinson, Katyia Wade. Keep up the good work building vocabulary to help raise your score on the AIR test and build reading comprehension.
  • Please congratulate our own Varsity Choir for completing their first competition this past weekend on Saturday Januray 18th at Marysville High School. Although the competition was intense, our choir walked away with a total of four awards with two of the awards going to individual students. Marquis Underwood won an award for best performer within Euclid's Choir and Kaleb Johnson won an award for "Commanding Stage Presence" out of all 19 choirs. As a whole, our Varsity choir won an award for "Best Show Concept" as well as an award for "Most Memorable Show." Varsity Choir's next competition will be on Saturday, February 1st at Walsh-Jesuit where we plan to perform not only a better show but also take home more trophies. Please come out and support our VC members as they bring on the wrath of the apocalypse with their edgy dance breaks and domineering vocals. Congratulations VC. We are very proud of you. See you at practice.
  • Last Thursday evening the Boys Indoor Track team competed at Spire in Geneva. First place finishes were turned in by: Armond Scott in the 200 meters and John Brown in the shot put and weight throw. A 3rd place was earned by the 4 by 200 team of Dennis Ivey, Damarte Ward, Armond Scott and Javier Harper. Kavon Jones was 4th in the 60 meter hurdles and Glen Hamblin was 3rd in the weight throw. Good job.
  • Congratulations to the Varsity swim team for their accomplishments Friday night in a Tri-meet at Shaker Heights with Brunswick. Top scoring swimmers for the team were Na'Im Hobson with 12 points, Charlie Atwell with 5 points and Cadance Burr with 3 points. All swimmers shaved time off their personal records. Congratulations Swimmers.

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity. Today is Thursday, January 16th.
  • Euclid High School’s Concert Band will present their Winter Band Concert tonight at 7:00pm in the Euclid High School Auditorium. The concert will open with a medley of famous marches by John Philip Sousa and conclude with music from the 1990 PBS series The Civil War. A special daytime presentation of the concert will also be presented today at 1:30pm during 7th period the Euclid High School Auditorium. All 7th Period Classes are welcome to attend. Admission to the evening Concert is $3!

This event is for Euclid High School 8th & 9th graders ONLY.
  • The Asian Popular Culture Club will be meeting on Fridays after school from 230-430 instead of Tuesdays due to musical rehearsals. This Friday, January 17th, we will be watching the Korean Drama "W," eating Kimchi, and watching a short documentary on ninjas - are they real or just fantasy characters? Find out this Friday, January 17th after school!!! See you then.

Applications are due by 2pm Friday January 17th! Specific information contained on flyers and application. If you have questions see Ms. Russo in Room 147.

PLEASE be sure to get your permission slip signed by Friday. Turn in signed permission slips to Ms. Hunt (room 232) or Mrs. Gonakis (room 324).
