Morning Announcements - September 30, 2022

Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. Today is Thursday, September 29th. 

Yogis, just a reminder that today is Friday! Come to our Yoga Club after school. Let's have a great workout today!

Attention all students!  If you plan to attend the Homecoming dance on Saturday, October 8, it’s time to get ready. Homecoming Dance contracts are now available in all pods, and in each unit office. EACH Euclid student must complete their OWN contract and submit it to their grade level unit office for a principal’s signature.  Contracts must be signed and completed before purchasing a ticket! Tickets are $20 and will go on sale on Monday, October 3 through Thursday, October 5.  No tickets will be sold on Friday, so go get those tickets!

Applications for the Student Advisory Board close TODAY! The advisory board will be working closely with Mr. Russell and Mr. Papouras to advocate for change at EHS. We are looking for people in all grade levels and clubs to help us represent the student body. The application link is available on your Counselor’s Schoology page and in QR code form on flyers around the building.

Students if you are interested in learning more about support groups held during the lunch periods please stop by Room H-115 during lunch period today to speak with Ms. Russo This room is located in the cafeteria.

Last week our seniors were the best with 89.75% attendance. At the end of the month I will be crowning an attendance champion. Right now Mrs. O’s class is leading the way. Show up so we can keep learning every day!

September is Hispanic Heritage Month - The U.S. Hispanic population reached 62.6 million in July 2021, the United States Census Bureau reports. With this most recent data, Hispanic-identifying people make up the nation’s largest racial or ethnic minority at 18.9 percent.

Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. Today is Thursday, September 22nd.

Hispanic Heritage Month - This year, the National Council of Hispanic Employment Program Managers (NCHEPM) announced that the Hispanic Heritage Month Observance Theme was "Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation." The 2022 theme "encourages us to ensure that all voices are represented and welcomed to help build stronger communities and a stronger nation," the NCHEPM said in a statement. Ms. Ily Soares, a supervisory accountant at Farm Credit Administration (FCA), submitted the winning theme.

Reminder that the SAVE Environmental Club meets today,  after school in 230 E.  Questions see Ms. Spivey

Morning Announcements - September 20, 2022

Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. Today is Tuesday, September 20th.

Sports updates - Tonight Girls Soccer travels to Andrews Osborne for a road game at 4:30.

Our Euclid High School Panther Marching Band competed in the Battle of the Bands held at Berea Bearcat Stadium on Saturday. Our band is the BEST BAND IN THE LAND!!!! We competed against local and out-of-state HBCU bands, and here is a look at what they won Saturday night: First Place Overall, Grand Champions, First Place in their class, First Place Auxiliary, and First Place Drum Major!
Congratulations to the band for their hard work.

Morning Announcements - September 16, 2022

Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. Today is Friday, September 16th.

Euclid Yogis! Just a reminder Yoga class is on this Friday again after school, from 2:30-3:30pm, at H350 pod, by the Chinese classroom. We got this great place! beautiful place! We got brand new yoga mats! Yes, brand new! If you don't have a mat, the mat is ready for you. And we've got the high spirits! Together, Let's immerse in the joy of yoga this Friday!

Hi, Friends! Who’s ready for Homecoming?! It’s right around the corner! The Euclid High School cordially requests your presence at Homecoming 2022, a Midnight Masquerade. The dance will be on Saturday, October 8. Doors open at 7:00. More info about ticket sales will be coming!

Homecoming Court applications are  available now! If you are a junior or senior and would like to run for Homecoming Court, please fill out an online application. Links for applications are available on your counselors’ and English teachers’ Schoology pages. OR, simply scan the QR code on the posters that says “Homecoming Court 2022 Application.” To be considered for Homecoming Court, you need to have a cumulative GPA of 2.5, have junior or senior status, and be an exemplary role model. When voting begins, TWO seniors will be chosen for Homecoming Royalty and TWO juniors will be chosen for Homecoming Nobility.

We need YOUR music suggestions for OUR Homecoming Dance!!! You can login to our specially created page to request up to 5 songs to be played at our dance. Scan the QR code on any poster that says “Midnight Masquerade MUSIC REQUEST”. The password in EHS2022.

Hi, Friends! Who’s ready for Homecoming?! It’s right around the corner! The Euclid High School cordially requests your presence at Homecoming 2022, a Midnight Masquerade. The dance will be on Saturday, October 8. Doors open at 7:00. More info about ticket sales will be coming!

Homecoming Court applications will be available beginning today! If you are a junior or senior and would like to run for Homecoming Court, please fill out an online application. Links for applications are available on your counselors’ and English teachers’ Schoology pages. OR, simply scan the QR code on the posters that says “Homecoming Court 2022 Application.” To be considered for Homecoming Court, you need to have a cumulative GPA of 2.5, have junior or senior status, and be an exemplary role model. When voting begins, TWO seniors will be chosen for Homecoming Royalty and TWO juniors will be chosen for Homecoming Nobility.

We need YOUR music suggestions for OUR Homecoming Dance!!! You can login to our specially created page to request up to 5 songs to be played at our dance. Scan the QR code on any poster that says “Midnight Masquerade MUSIC REQUEST”. The password in EHS2022.

Morning Announcements - September 9, 2022

Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. Today is Friday, September 9th.

If you do not have an ID yet, you need to get one from security. ID’s should be worn around your neck at all times during the day. Your pictures are beautiful, do not be afraid to show them off! I will be taking pictures with students who are proudly wearing their ID’s and putting them on the monitors around the school.

Sports Update - A rough night for all Panther athletics, keep working hard in practice, stay committed to your teammates and coaches and you will be successful.

Morning Announcements - September 7, 2022

Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. Today is Wednesday, September 7th.

The African American Achievement Let’s Talk group for our young males is back. Meet with Mr York after school at 2:30-3:45pm on Tuesdays in room (H240A). Our mission is to promote positive black male leadership, provide academic achievement, discuss life skills, and encourage self-esteem with our young gentlemen at Euclid High School. The goal is to teach young scholars how to respect and represent themselves with confidence. The gentlemen in this group will learn to lead by example in the neighborhood by establishing and maintaining effective and continued communication with members of the community, as well as, the community encouraging them in their development, growth, and responsibility. If you would like to join this group, reach out to Mr York in the hallways in passing or stop by on Tuesdays at 2:30pm after school.

Morning Announcements - September 6, 2022

Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. Today is Tuesday, September 6th. 

The Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA) will have the first meeting Tuesday, September 6th at 2:30pm. in  room H-115.  See Ms. Russo or Ms. Hunt for more information.

All students who have an ID should wear their ID around their neck. If you do not have your ID security will be working on getting it to you ASAP.

Sports updates - Volleyball continues to be dominant as they dominated Cleveland Central Catholic in straight sets 3-0

Students, we are cracking down on students in the hallway after their lunch period. To ensure effective instruction in every room, we need our students in their seats. Hall monitors will begin issuing tardy slips for students caught in the hallway. You might have to change your path to class. If you usually go on the 2nd floor Bridge to get to class, try going to the 3rd floor bridge and coming back down.

Yoga Club students! Today when you come to yoga class, please enter the school through door 35. Again, Door 35 is where you can enter into the building and get to the yoga club. See you on the mats!

Morning Announcements - September 1, 2022

Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. Today is Thursday, September 1st.  I’m Mr. Russell, and these are  your Morning Announcements.

Good morning Gamers!  Join our Chess Club and play the original game of skill, combat and strategy.  We meet today at 2:30pm in room H209.  Hope to see you there.  Be excellent.

Interested in Environmental Issues and getting Outdoors?  Join the SAVE Environmental Club. Meetings are held after school on Thursdays in room 230E.  If you have any questions, ask Ms. Spivey.

Good morning yogis! Welcome to our Euclid Yoga Club! Our first session will be this Friday, Sept. 2. in the H350 Pod right after school, from 2:30 to 3:30pm. So bring your mats this Friday! Please also bring your permission slip. If you need one, you can get them in the main office, or from classroom H350F. Let's open our minds, strengthen our cores, and share the joy of yoga! This is also a chance for students in Chinese classes to earn 10 bonus points.  So this Friday, bring your mats, bring your permissions, and bring your smiles!

You all are very bright stars, but you are not permitted to shield your eyes with sunglasses in the school building. If you are a student who has been warned multiple times of wearing sunglasses in the building, administrators can confiscate them from you.
