Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. Today is Monday, January 30, 2023 and these are your morning announcements.

Life can be tough. Life does not care how talented you are, how smart you are, how beautiful you are, how much money you have. Life is going to throw adversity at you early and often. All of us have overcome some adversity, and many of us are going through adverse situations right now. There are several keys that go along with dealing with adversity and becoming a more resilient person. Approach situations with a disciplined mindset. Be relentless in the amount of effort you put in. The foundation for success is relentless effort. Success is cumulative and progressive. Small gains turn into big successes when you apply continued effort. How much effort are you willing to put in to make sure you are successful through a difficult situation you are faced with. Your amount of effort is your response to the challenges you face.

Have you insured your Chromebook? When students request a Chromebook replacement, if you haven’t paid your insurance fee you won’t be able to  get one. Never leave your Chromebook unattended, treat it like your cell phone and don’t put it down and go get lunch. Many Chromebooks are starting to "walk away" from the students they are assigned too. Do not forget to log into IC and pay this year's $20 annual technology fee. It is not just for when a Chromebook gets damaged. The fee covers the use and routine maintenance of the Chromebook and is a fee that is added every year you attend Euclid City Schools. All fees must be paid in full before you can graduate or have your transcripts transferred to another district, so it is best to pay fees each year rather than let them accumulate. If a Chromebook does get damaged, the technology fee will cover the first repair only. After that, the family is responsible for the cost of any further damage or replacement.

Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. Today is Monday, January 23, 2023 and these are your morning announcements.

What is your plan for building the skills you need for the life you want to live? By using the R-Factor you will get closer to living a life that you are responsible for, and not a life you have to live. Getting the life you want is not magic. It’s the routine application of taking responsibility for the decisions you make and doing your best to make those decisions with discipline. None of us are perfect and are all working toward becoming the best version of ourselves. The process of building elite skills is slow, small and daily. Take control of your R, and do the work to build your skills.

Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. Today is Thursday, January 19, 2023 and these are your morning announcements.

The thing about life is that you don’t always get what you want. Rarely ever do you get exactly what you want. Some people aren’t born into the family they wish they were, or go to the school they really want to, be on the team that they want to be on. These are all events. The great thing about each of them is that you may not have control of the event, but you have the opportunity to respond in a way that will make the outcomes for your life beneficial to you and your circumstances. It all starts with the R-Factor Mindset. I do not control Events, My response is my choice, I earn outcomes by the quality of my response and E+R=O is the way life works. Make a positive difference for those around you today!

Today I get to! Act with Purpose, Serve People, Solve Problems and Bring Energy! E+R=O We earn our outcomes. So Don’t hold on to what’s holding you back! During the first semester we built habits that either helped or hurt us physically, emotionally,  academically, or within our relationships with parents, teachers, our employers or our peers. Get rid of anything that does not make you better. It’s not about the E, you build habit forming behavior through your responses. If you practice pressing pause before your respond, it will show up in all circumstances you encounter in life. Pressing Pause is the first step to being flexible and gives you the power to Adapt and Adjust.

Adjusting and Adapting is all about handling change. One of the hardest things for people to do is deal with changes to their world. When change occurs in your life respond to it with Discipline. Resisting or resenting change will not delay it or make it go away. Instead delaying the change will make going through it more stressful and difficult to deal with. Change is constant and is necessary, your ability to adapt and adjust, is an essential skill in today’s world.
