08/31/16 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Wednesday, August 31st.
  • IE today is for 3rd period.
  • Euclid Police Officers are writing trespassing citations for Euclid residents (children and adults) who cut through the golf course property – at any time of day or night. Do not cut across the golf course, any day or time. Thank you!Math tutoring is available with Mr. Phillips in Room 141 Tuesdays and Wednesdays 2:30 - 3:15.  This is open to all students for all math topics.  Tutoring will be available for the entire year. 
  • Attention Key Club members: If you are going to volunteer for the Cleveland Air Show and you have already picked up your permission slip form from Mrs. Kudej, please return your slips to her in room 223 by Thursday September 1st.  Key Club Board Members will be having a short meeting on Thursday September 8th in room 223.  Please plan on being there.
  • Culture Club will meet on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in Room 293 at 2:30 pm.  Hope to see you there!
  • Student Council will meet today at 2:30 p.m. in Room 296.  Join us in planning this year's Homecoming festivities!  If you have any questions or can't make the meeting, please see Mrs. Latessa in Room 296 or Mrs. Pollack in Room 263. 
  • Attention students.  Are you interested in helping to design and create the 2016-2017 EHS yearbook?  We are looking for creative designers, writers, photographers and business entrepreneurs to be a part of our staff.  The club will meet every Tuesday through March.  For those interested, please attend our first meeting on Tuesday September 6th in Room 298.  The meeting will start promptly at 2:40.  Please see Mrs. Valtman or Mrs. Gaul with questions.  
  • Attention art lovers!!  The EHS Art Club will hold it's first meeting this Thursday, September 1st after school in room 199. All grade levels are welcome to join!
  • Applications are available in the media center for anyone interested in auditioning for a spot on the Morning Show.  Completed applications should be turned in to Mr. Burkart in room 295.“impACT the 216” is an 8-week, tri-annual program that focuses on ACT preparation and college and career readiness.  The goal of this program is to help students meet state and local standards in core academic subject areas, specifically mathematics and reading.  Each 8-week session includes two ACT practice exam’s, two parent sessions, a parent orientation before session begins and a college and career project.  The program is held at 7 different sites, including the Euclid Public Library.  If you have any questions about the program please visit us in the College Now office or you can visit our website at “collegenowgc.org/impact-the-216.”Congratulations to the 8th grade Euclid volleyball team who defeated Euclid Gold last night. Amazing serving by Olivia Augustine and clutch serves by Cassandra Johnson, great passing by Tawney Frawn, Ariel Thompson, and Jasmin Shakir. Incredible net play by Katie Stephens.  Overall fantastic plays by Lori Way.  Everyone worked as a team.  Girls, you should be very proud!

08/30/16 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Monday, August 29th.  Welcome to the Morning Show.Attention all students. Beginning today, the library is open during lunch periods. To get a lunch pass, stop by the library and see Mr. Corfman or Ms. Mack before school, after school, or between periods. We have new passes this year that attach to your lanyard, so make sure you’re wearing your ID when you come in to get your pass. This year, a pass will allow you to come to the library at the beginning of the period or to leave the cafeteria when you’re finished eating. The library is now open from 7:15 to 3:00 every day. If you have not been assigned to an IE, you can sign up, in advance, to be in the library during your IE period.

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Friday, August 26th.
  • Attention all students. The library will be open during lunch periods beginning MONDAY. Also beginning MONDAY, you can stop by the library before school, after school, or between periods to pick up a lunch pass, which will allow you to get to the library during your lunch period. Do not show up in the library at the beginning of your lunch period to ask for a pass. You will not receive one that way. To receive a pass, you must have your ID with you. This year, a library pass will allow you to arrive at the beginning of the period or to leave the cafeteria as soon as you have finished eating. Also beginning MONDAY, the library will be open from 7:15 to 3:00 every day.

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Thursday, August 25th.
  • Good luck to the Euclid Varsity Football team against Glenville, the 8th grade Blue volleyball team as they take on Brunswick, and the Euclid Gold volleyball team as they take on Medina today. 
  • The Band and Cheerleaders will march through the hallways today during the last 20 mins. of 7th period.  Cheerleaders and Band members should exit 7th period at 1:25pm and report to the band room.
  • Do you like the outdoors? Going on hikes? Being good to the environment?  Then the SAVE Environmental Club is the club for you!  Please join us for our first meeting today after school in room 392.  See Mr. Young or Mrs. Spivey if you have any questions.
  • Are you interested in getting involved? Join Foreign Language Club and get involved globally. Come to the meeting on Tuesdays in room 229 and learn more.
  • “impACT the 216” is an 8-week, tri-annual program that focuses on ACT preparation and college and career readiness.  The goal of this program is to help students meet state and local standards in core academic subject areas, specifically mathematics and reading.  The “impACT the 216” team works towards enhancing ACT test-taking strategies, providing enrichment activities that complement students’ regular academic programming and giving students the necessary tools to prepare for postsecondary education.  Each 8-week session includes two ACT practice exam’s, two parent sessions, a parent orientation before session begins and a college and career project.  The program is held at 7 different sites, including the Euclid Public Library, Eastman Library, Esperenza, Martin Luther King Jr. Library, Rice Library, South Brooklyn Library and Warrensville Heights High School.  If you have any questions about the program please visit us in the College Now office.  If you’re interested in joining “impACT the 216” please visit our website at “collegenowgc.org/impact-the-216.”

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Wednesday, August 24th
  • Shout out to the 8th grade Euclid Blue volleyball team for an incredible match against Mentor Shore last night. Great blocking by Destinee White.  Overall, great net play by Lori Way and Ariel Thompson.  Incredible serving by Olivia Augustine and Katie Stephens.  Great job ladies; you should be very proud of your performance!  The 8th Grade Gold team had a victory over Garfield last night.  All of the girls played extremely well! 
  • Students can purchase pre-sale tickets to this week's football game versus Glennville at lunch periods today.  Tickets will be available in both cafeterias.  Pre-Sale tickets are $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students.  All Tickets at the door are $6.00.
  • The first Student Council meeting will kick off today at 2:30 p.m. in Room 296. We have lots of work to do to get ready for this year's Homecoming festivities. If you've been thinking about joining, now's the time! If you have any questions or can't make this week's meeting and want to know more, please see Mrs. Latessa in Room 296 or Mrs. Pollack in Room 263.

  • The Renaissance Leader Council will meet today at 2:00 in room 295.  All council members should attend.
  • The first Student Council meeting will kick off tomorrow, Wednesday, August 24th at 2:30 p.m. in Room 296. We have lots of work to do to get ready for this year's Homecoming festivities. If you've been thinking about joining, now's the time!   • Last night the 8th grade Lady Panthers Blue Volleyball team scrimmaged Mentor Shore. There was great team effort by all of the girls. We are looking forward to our first official game Tuesday against Mentor Ridge. If you see the volleyball players today, tell them great game!
