04/20/16 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where students are standing up together and taking control of their future!  Today is Wednesday, April 20th.
  • IE today is for 3rd period.
  • Attention Key Club Members: Please make sure to attend tomorrow's meeting at 2:45.  We will be talking about the Jamboree and the Karaoke Party.  Remember, in order to attend the Karaoke Party, a permission slip must be filled out.  Please go to room 121 to pick up your permission slip form.
  • The SAVE Environmental club will have a spring hike to North Chagrin Reservation tomorrow.  We will meet at 2pm in room 102 (planetarium). Please come dressed for the weather and bring something to drink. If interested, see Mr. Young or Mrs. Spivey for a permission slip.
  • Hey everyone!  The yearbooks will be here very soon!  Make sure you get a copy by pre-ordering the 2016 Euclidian. Bring $50 cash, check or money order to Mrs. Gaul in room 298 or Mrs. Valtman in 292. Order forms can be picked up in the library.  Once the books are sold out, there will be no more, so guarantee yours today!  Past books are also for sale for $10 each.
  • Attention all students interested in auditioning for the Varsity Chorale Show Choir, audition rehearsals are Thursday, April 21st, and Monday, April 25th from 2:30-3:00pm in the choir room.  The more rehearsals you come to, the more prepared you will be!  If you are interested in auditioning but did not come to the meeting, please see Mrs. Ross or Mr. Thorndike in the choir room for information.
  • Juniors please plan on attending college night on Tuesday, April 26th at 7:00pm in the Little Theater. Learn about the college planning process, ACT & SAT testing, scholarship programs available, the Montgomery G.I. Bill and NCAA clearinghouse guidelines. This is a very informative night and will help get you started in preparation for your Senior year. We look forward to seeing you at 7:00pm April 26th.
  • Euclid High School’s Concert Band & Orchestra will present their annual Spring Concert tomorrow at 7:00pm in the High School Auditorium.  The concert will include the band performing music from the Lion King and Mozart’s Magic Flute, featuring flute soloist Danielle Barwick.  The orchestra will perform Star Wars and include a violin duet featuring Courtney Ritchey and Jane D’Arcy.  The 1st period Orchestra Concert and 3rd period band concert are canceled the day of the concert due to the Stand Up Rally.  A reminder to all band members that there is a mandatory dress rehearsal Wed eve 5-7pm in the Auditorium.  Admission  FOR THE EVENING CONCERT is $3..See you Thursday APRIL 21st!
  • Seniors! Do you have what it takes to defeat your teachers on the basketball court? Only time will tell...The annual Senior-Faculty basketball game will be held on Friday, April 29th! Permission slips are available in Room 296. To participate, you must have no suspensions, no more than two referrals this school year, and your emergency medical form on file. See Mrs. Latessa in Room 296 for more details.
  • Seniors, if you have already received notification that you've been accepted to college or you have been awarded scholarship money bring your acceptance letters to Mrs. Payne in the Guidance Dept. You will have your photo taken to hang in the E-Room and a copy of your acceptance letter will be given to your Counselor. Deadline to submit all acceptance letters to college and/or scholarship monies is Friday, May 6th, 2:00pm.
  • Another job opportunity! Crayton Landscape & Building Maintenance is now hiring students 16 years old and older to work landscape and 17 years old and a senior to be an office Secretary. If you are interested in either of these jobs please see the Guidance Dept for a flyer with more details including starting wages.
  • Seniors! Permission slips for the annual Senior Field Trip to Dave and Buster's on May 11 are now available in the library.  Signed permission slips and $35 cash are due by Friday, April 29th.  You must have an emergency medical form on file to attend.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Latessa.
