04/03/17 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where we are standing up with Panther PRIDE.  Today is Monday, April 3rd, 2017.
  • Congratulations to team Jaguar who has been doing a great job with the 40 book challenge.  As a team, Jaguar has read 762 books.  That's an average of about 11 books per student!  Our top readers are Marcellus Ingram who read 36 books, Christina Sadarides who has read 31 books, Marshawn Parker who has read 29 books, Chequonn Carter and Andre Tillman who have each read 16 books.  Great job Team Jaguar!  Keep reading!
  • The Lady Panthers ran yesterday at the Collingwood Invitational and Junior Caisja Chandler stole the show.  She came home with 4 gold medals and the Meet MVP.  Caisja was 1st place 100 Meter Dash 12.28, 1st Place 200 Meter Dash 25.66 and also 1st Place on both sprint relays joined by Freshman Kristan Ross, Senior Lamyja Jernigan and Senior Chalara Sutton 4 x 100 51.02 and 4 x 200 1:46.7.  Other girls who received medals in the meet were Kristan Ross 200 Meter Dash, Joann Felix High Jump, Jordan Hughes Pole Vault and the 9/10 grade 4 x 100 Relay of Lance Worley, Raven Hall, Shazell Oliver and Courtney Rice.  Both the boys and girls run this Wednesday at Brunswick.
Meetings:
  • All 8th grade girls who plan to participate in softball need to meet in the little theater after school today to get practice information from the coach.
  • Attention all EHS athletes, the Booster Club Scholarships are now open for applications. Please pick up the guidelines for the scholarship in the athletics office. The completed package is due back to the Athletic Office by end of school day on April 7.
  • 9th and 10th graders who had Ms. Shamblen for 8th grade English.  If you still have your 8th grade autobiography project and are willing to share your project as an example for the current 8th graders, please drop it off to Ms. Shamblen in room 123 at any time.
  • Attention all students interested in auditioning for our high school Dance Team called The Pantherettes for the 2017-18 Marching Band Season.  The organizational meeting will be held tonight at 5:00pm in the Euclid High School Band Room.  Practices will run through Wed. April 12 and the audition will be held on Thur. April 13.  For more information, contact band director Ms. Tizzano in the high school band room.
