02/25/20 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity. Today is Tuesday, February 25th.
  • In honor of HBCUs and in preparation for our Black History Program this Friday, the L.E.A.D. Scholars would like to share an HBCU fact with you each day. Today's HBCU spotlight recognizes Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. Morehouse was founded in 1867 in the basement of Springfield Baptist Church in Augusta, Ga., by the Rev. William Jefferson White and moved to Atlanta in 1885. Starting as Augusta Institute, the institution was created to educate black men for careers in ministry and teaching. Morehouse is the world’s only HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) for men. It has produced four Rhodes Scholars, several college presidents, and leaders in many other fields. Morehouse's mission is to develop men with disciplined minds who will lead lives of leadership and service. Morehouse realizes this mission by emphasizing the intellectual and character development of its students. In addition, the College assumes special responsibility for teaching the history and culture of black people. To learn more about Morehouse College, stop by and see Mrs. Langford's door (room 338) or visit morehouse.edu.
