Morning Announcements - September 21, 2022

Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. Today is Wednesday, September 21st.

Hispanic Heritage Month - This year, the National Council of Hispanic Employment Program Managers (NCHEPM) announced that the Hispanic Heritage Month Observance Theme was "Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation." The 2022 theme "encourages us to ensure that all voices are represented and welcomed to help build stronger communities and a stronger nation," the NCHEPM said in a statement. Ms. Ily Soares, a supervisory accountant at Farm Credit Administration (FCA), submitted the winning theme.

The African American Achievement Group for Girls will meet Wednesday, September 28th in room H130F. If you didn't make the last meeting, we would love to see you there and share all of the great things we do at EHS. Hope to see you there!

Do you want to see change at Euclid High School? Join the Student Advisory Board! The advisory board currently consists of 5 students. We have been working closely with Mr. Russell and Mr. Papouras to advocate for change at EHS, for example: staggered start days at the beginning of the year, scanning ID badges to enter the building, and PEP RALLIES! We also helped  with the first day of school for incoming freshmen! We are looking for people in all grade levels and clubs to help us represent the student body. The application link is available on your Counselor’s Schoology page, and in QR code form on flyers around the building. The application will close September 30th.

ATTENTION HOMECOMING COURT APPLICANTS! If you have applied for Homecoming Court, your application has been considered and you will be notified THURSDAY if you have met the requirements. In the meantime, please DO NOT hang any posters! If you should have any questions, please see Mrs. Pollack or Mrs. Korpowski in room 140C.

Attendance - September is Attendance Month. Each week I will be looking at Attendance data to determine who are best attendees are. Our Attendance champions will be recognized. Last week our seniors were the best with 89.75% attendance. At the end of the month I will be crowning an attendance champion. Right now Mrs. O’s class is leading the way. Show up so we can keep learning every day!

These have been your morning announcements. Remember to be Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged in all school settings, and make it a great day today at The Euclid High School.
