Morning Announcements - September 19, 2022

Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. Today is Monday, September 19th.

Hispanic Heritage Month - At EHS we are celebrating Hispanic Heritage month every day on the announcements. Hispanic Heritage month goes from September 15 - October 15.  Hispanic Heritage Month has been celebrated in the U.S. for over 30 years. Formally known as National Hispanic Heritage Month, the annual event honors Hispanic cultures and traditions originating from American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. Both the Hispanic and Latinx communities observe Hispanic Heritage Month because of their shared Spanish language.

Hey Panthers, there is an Art Club introduction meeting with Mrs. Bauckman Tuesday, September 20th from 2:20-3:00 in H201. It is open to all EHS students who like hanging with other artists and enjoy creating all forms of visual art. We will discuss meeting dates, expectations and possible project ideas. Come see what the Art club is all about.  If you have any questions, stop into room H201 and talk with Mrs. Bauckman. Hope to see you there!!

ATTENTION HOMECOMING COURT APPLICANTS! If you have applied for Homecoming Court, your application has been considered and you will be notified THURSDAY if you have met the requirements. In the meantime, please DO NOT hang any posters! If you should have any questions, please see Mrs. Pollack or Mrs. Korpowski in room 140C.

Attendance September is Attendance Month. Each week I will be looking at Attendance data to determine who are best attendees are. Our Attendance champions will be recognized. Last week our seniors were the best with 89.75% attendance. At the end of the month I will be crowning an attendance champion. Right now Mrs. O’s class is leading the way. Show up so we can keep learning every day!

Sports updates - Tonight Girls Soccer travels to Andrews Osborne for a road game at 4:30.

Our Euclid High School Panther Marching Band competed in the Battle of the Bands held at Berea Bearcat Stadium on Saturday. Our band is the BEST BAND IN THE LAND!!!! We competed against local and out-of-state HBCU bands, and here is a look at what they won Saturday night: First Place Overall, Grand Champions, First Place in their class, First Place Auxiliary, and First Place Drum Major!
Congratulations to the band for their hard work.

These have been your morning announcements. Remember to be Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged in all school settings, and make it a great day today at The Euclid High School.
