02/18/16 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School, where students are standing up together and taking control of their future!  Today is Thursday, February 18thWelcome to the Morning Show.
  • IE today is for 4th period. 
  • There will be a meeting today for anyone interested in trying out for the Baseball team this year.  The meeting is in room 242.  The meeting will start at 2:35 right after IE.  If you do not attend the meeting or see Coach LeRoy you will not be able to try out for baseball this year.
  • Attention Key Club Members: Please plan on attending the Key Club meeting today at 2:45 in room 121.  We will be taking nominations for those of you who want to run for office, and we will also have special guests Hasani Wheat, Kiwanis Advisor to Circle K at Case Western Reserve University & Thomas Franco, President of the Circle K at Case Western Reserve University speak to the group. See you Thursday!Attention SAVE Environmental Club! The SAVE Club will have a winter hike today. We will meet in the planetarium immediately after school. Please come dressed for the weather. There is still time to pick up a permission slip from Mr. Young or Mrs. Spivey if you would like to come.
  • If you missed the Girls Outdoor Track Meeting yesterday come see Coach Nosse in the boys gym today.
  • Young men of Euclid: The Euclid Public Library is hosting a series of conversations that deal with issues of being a young man in Euclid and in America.  Please join us for the first of these after school today at 3pm in the Euclid. There is no cost to you and you are guaranteed to become inspired and find ways in which you can become the man you always wanted to be.
  • Attention students: We will be having a GSA meeting on Friday February 19 th at 2 pm in Room 209 All are welcome! In addition the community YMCA located on Babbitt Road has begun a GSA in the evening beginning at 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm. This first meeting in the community begins on Thursday February 18th. See Ms. Russo in Room 209 if you have any questions !
  • Hey students!  Remember to pre-order your yearbook ASAP! Bring 50 dollars cash, check or money order to Mrs. Gaul in room 298 or Mrs. Valtman in 292 to secure your copy.  Once they are sold out there will be no more available!
  • Attention Seniors! Senior shirt order forms are available in all senior English classes and in the library today through Friday, February 26. Please bring completed form and cash with you to Mrs. Latessa in Room 296 to purchase your shirt. The shirt design is available in the Senior Class Cabinet case on the 1st floor and with Mrs. Latessa in Room 296. Don't wait-order yours today!
  • The Euclid Boy's track team competed at the spire institute complex Last Thursday February 11, 2015. These young men are running at a very high level scoring in 10 of 13 events ... The first place 134 points accumulated was another Team effort. Top performances: 1st place 4x400 relay run by Ron Lee, Melvin Lyons, Darien Sanders and Tyresse Jones- 3:33, Brian Tillman 1st place in the 60m dash 7.19, 200m dash 22.7 (national elite recognized), and the 400m (national elite recognized) only to edge out De’Quan Williams for a 1-2 finish. 2nd place finishers were: Desmond White 60m dash, De'Quan Williams 400m dash, Isaiah Claytor High jump, Spencer Roberts Shot put, Ron Lee 200m dash, and the 4x8 run by Melvin Lyon, Kameron Shelton, De'Quan Williams, Kishuan Carroll. 3rd place finishers were: the 4x8 B Team run by Tyresse Jones, Darien Sanders, Kariel Hayes, and Nick Abercrombie, and the 4x4 B Team run by Nick Rice, Kariel Hayes, Calel Christian, and Nick Abercrombie. The boys track team will be running fast in the spire All Star meet Friday February 19th 2016 in Geneva, Ohio. 19 young men were selected to represent the Euclid Panthers.
