09/25/18 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Tuesday, September 25h.
  • Congratulations to Team Jaguar's top Membean users: Quinten Bradford, Timiyah Goodgame, Precious Westbrook, Dariya Rogers, Nyaja Thomas, Daemari Robinson, Kaya Cotton, Neveah Jones, Nazyia Mitchell, and Jameel Pruitt. Keep up the great work!
  • Congratulations to the following winners from Monday's Spirit Week drawing for 90's Day: La'Nisha Givens, Charlotte Hall, Kacey Worsham, and Du'Sean Shelton. Please stop by Room 296 following announcements to pick up your prize. Homeroom teachers-don't forget to recognize students showing their spirit this week-put some tickets in the Spirit Week box!  Also, thank you to the following teachers for showing their 90's spirit yesterday: Mr. Gaspar, Mrs. Korpowski, Mrs. Gaul, Ms. Sylvester, and Ms. Mattinson.
  • Attention Student Council members-there is no meeting today! Look for your reminder in Homeroom this week for when you signed up to work the game or decoration day! Our next meeting is Tuesday, October 2.
  • For those Juniors and Seniors that signed up for the Ohio University and/or John Carroll University college visits, they will take place in the AUDITORIUM today.
  • Attention Juniors, are you interested in qualifying to become a National Merit Scholar.  If so, please see Mrs. Jones in the curriculum office to sign up for the PSAT.  The PSAT is October 10, 2018.  Sign-up runs now through Wednesday, September 26th.  Please come during your lunch period only.
  • Homecoming Spirit Week:  Mix it up on Wednesday for Mismatch Day!  Find your BFF and get twinning for Twin Day.  Friday is Blue and Gold Day-show your school spirit as the EHS football team takes on Strongsville for our Homecoming game!  Also, if you think you've got the best outfit during Spirit Week, come by room 298 to have your picture taken for yearbook and newspaper.  That's right!  Come to room to 298 with your best spirit week outfits to be featured in the yearbook and newspaper!  Teachers, admin and staff too!  Show your Panther Pride!
  • Attention all students: The CRAVE club would like to invite you to celebrate The National Week of Student Prayer by attending See You At The Pole. See You At The Pole is a chance to meet together and pray for our school and our community. Please join us for this powerful event this Wednesday at 7:00am. We will meet outside in the plaza between the gym and stadium entrance (or in the basketball lobby in case of rain). We hope to see you there, on Wednesday morning at 7am! See the signs in the hallway or stop by room 396 for more information.
  • Attention all EHS students, the L.E.A.D. Scholars will have their 1st official book club meeting tomorrow, September 26th from 2:30-3:30 in room 371. We are discussing the first 5 chapters of the book The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. Please consider stopping by and joining the discussion. This book club is open to all students grades 8-12.
  • Girls Basketball Open Gym will be Wednesday, September 26th at the high school. Open gym will start at 6:30 and go until 8:00pm. 9th - 12th girls welcome to attend open gym.
  • There will be a meeting for 8th and 9th grade girls interested in playing Girls Basketball this year. The meeting is Wednesday, September 26th at 2:20 in West Gym.
  • There will be an informational meeting with Coach Zeffer for all boys interested in playing baseball this spring on Thursday, September 27 in room 293 at 2:25 PM.
  • Homecoming Dance tickets are on sale now through Thursday, September 27.  Tickets are $20 per person and can only be purchased from the treasurer in the main office.  Tickets can be purchased during lunch periods or after school. Those interested in purchasing tickets during lunch MUST have a pass from the cafeteria or auditorium.  Please have your I.D. and completed contract with you to purchase your ticket.
  • The marching band will hold a mandatory meeting for all students and parents Wed. Oct. 3 at 7pm in the band room. We will discuss our overnight trip to Central State University near Dayton Ohio to perform in their homecoming parade. We will depart from the Brunswick game Friday Oct. 12 and return Sat. Oct. 13. Total cost for the tip is $40 and is due on Oct. 3.
  • Attention all EHS students: Have you considered attending or visiting a Historically Black College or University? Then you should consider attending the HBCU Tour in spring 2019. We will tour Howard University, Hampton University, and Morgan State University and visit some of the Washington D.C. memorials and museums. If you are interested or want more information, stop by room 371 and see Dr. Mines or listen for info during the A section of your lunch period.
