12/19/18 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Wednesday, December 19th.
  • Keep the spirit going!  Tomorrow is Ugly Holiday Sweater Day.
  • Congratulations to team Jaguar for having read 675 book so far this school year for the 40 Book Challenge. The top readers on the team are Mickaila Buefort with 89 books, York Eberhardt, with 21 books, Dariya Rodgers with 20 books, Sam Peterson with 18 books, and Rayshawn black with 14 books. On average, each student has read 7 books so far this school year! Great job team Jaguar! You are becoming life-long lovers of reading!
  • 8th grade swim team coach Ingram would like to congratulate the top point scorers in last nights meet against formidable Hathaway Brown and University School. Eleni Saterides scored 8 points taking a second place in the 50 yard backstroke. Gerald Harris scored 3 points for the team taking a 3rd place in the 50 free style. Congratulations team.
  • New blankets are being collected for area shelters. Drop off any new blanket donations to Ms. Russo in Room 147. Spread the warmth and help someone in need!
  • The Band will host a special Movie and Pizza Party today after school in the Band room. All Band members are invited to attend! Thank you for a great second quarter!
  • Attention Juniors and Seniors:  There will be a class meeting to discuss the updated graduation requirements and to answer any questions that you may have during your lunch period today in the Auditorium.  Please be prompt, as we will only use the first part of your lunch.  Sophomores you will report to the Little Theatre on December 19th.
  • Attention 8th graders and anyone interested in playing football.  There will be a meeting and workout at 2:25pm today in the indoor track.
  • Attention all girls interested in playing softball this spring, please come to the athletics office to sign up.
  • Chinese Club members! On February 16, Saturday, we will go see the Broadway show Miss Saigon, from 1:30 to 4:30pm. If you are not a Chinese Club member, feel free to join us!  You pay only $10 for the ticket, Chinese Club will pay the rest.  Make sure sign up and turn in your money.  Chinese Club will go to dinner after.  The whole cost for the field trip is $10.  Please sign up with Ms. Wang.  Join the Chinese Club!  See Ms. Saigon!  Don't miss this great opportunity to see a Broadway Show!
  • Attention Sophomores:  Do not forget to apply at www.LakeShoreCompact.org by December 21, 2018.  You may apply after this deadline, but applying by this “priority status” deadline will add bonus points to your score and guarantee you an interview in mid-January.  Remember, you can only apply for two programs (your first choice gets you 5 additional points on our scoring system).  If you have any questions, see your counselor or stop by the CTE office in room 324.
  • Seniors! Order your senior quotes and your yearbooks before break to get the deepest discount!  See Ms. Gaul in room 298 for ordering information.
  • Attention All students!  Culture Club will be hosting a Black History Assembly next semester.  We are looking for talented students who are interested in performing.  The auditions will be held in January (Date to be announced). Songs, Spoken Word and Dance should be 2 to 4 minutes and align with the theme Lift Every Voice and Speak!  Use your break to break out and perform!  See Ms. Russo in Room 147 if you have any questions.
