01/07/19 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Monday, January 7th.
  • Shoutout to team Leopard for having 1,352 books read so far this school year. This is an average of 14 books per student! Our top 5 readers are A'Niyah Cephus with 69 books, Haden Hewis with 55, Shanti Henderson with 49, Antonio Grover with 47, and Grace French with 44. Other students who have already reached 40 books are Jeffrey Elkins, Legacy Pratt, Akilia Williams, Anje'La Scott, and Christian Porter. Congratulations, and keep up your hard work in becoming lifelong readers.
  • The results from the 3rd contest of the Ohio Math League are now official. Congratulations to Roummell Harris who finished in first place and is also leading the contest for the year. Evan Botzki finished in second place and moved up to the 12th position on the all time career list. Jamilah Henry was third. Isabel Baca, Gwen Hale, and Nate Johnson tied for 4th place. For the year Ashawn Berry is in 3rd place, and Nate Ahragbedey is in 4th. The next contest will be Jan 15th.
  • Attention Juniors and Seniors: There will be a class meeting to discuss the updated graduation requirements and to answer any questions that you may have on Tuesday, January 8 in the auditorium during your lunch period.  Please be prompt as we will only use the first part of your lunch. Sophomores- you will report to the Little Theatre on Tuesday.
  • All cast of Freaky Friday- remember that choreography camp runs Monday through Friday this week 2:30-5:30. Bring clothes you can dance in and water! See you later.
  • Attention Chinese Club!  We will have a Chinese Club meeting this coming Monday, January 7th.  This will be the very last day to collect permission slips and money for the Broadway show Miss Saigon.  The cost is $10 for a ticket and includes dinner.  Please come to the Monday Chinese Club meeting.
  • The next meeting of the National Honor Society will be Tuesday, January 8th after school in room 342.  See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions.
  • Attention SAVE Environmental club. We will meet this Tuesday, January 8 in room 391 at 2:30 to discuss activities for the second semester. If you have any questions or cannot attend see Mr. Young or Mrs. Spivey.
  • Attention all students!  Audition forms are now available outside Room 147 for the upcoming Black History Assembly.  Completed forms are due by January 13th.  If you are talented in dance, song or spoken word, please come forward!  Actual auditions are based on the forms submitted!  See Ms. Russo in Room 147 if you have any questions.
  • Euclid High School’s Concert Band will host the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. District Celebration Concert on Thursday, January 17th at 7:00pm in the Euclid High School Auditorium.  The concert will open with a performance of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” and end with Dr. King’s famous speech “I Have A Dream” as the band plays “The Civil War.”  Two special daytime performances will be presented on the morning of the concert: 2nd period for all 10th, 11th, and 12th Grade Classes, and 3rd period for all 8th and 9th Grade Classes.  All band members are required to attend dress rehearsal Wednesday, January 16th from 5pm until 7pm in the auditorium and 1st period on Thursday, January 17th before the two assemblies. Admission to the Concert is FREE!
