01/24/19 Announcements

  • Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Today is Thursday, January 24th.
  • The latest results for the Ohio Math League are in.  Congratulations to this months winner: Evan Botzki. Roummell Harris and Sierra Eaddy tied for second.  Dylan Gray and Alana Thigpen tied for fourth.  For the year Roummell and Evan are first and second with only 4 points between them. Ashawn Berry, Isabel Baca, and Nate Ahragbedey are all within one point of each other battling for third place.  Ashawn Berry captured his 200th career point; and Evan Botzki scored his 300th career point as he passed Mike D'Arcy and tied Jessica Lisy for 10th place on the all time list.  The next contest will be Tuesday, February 12.  See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions.
  • Hey EHS Students, Its time to kick of black history month and celebrate our heritage.  The L.E.A.D. SCHOLARS are hosting a door decor contest celebrating the accomplishments of African-Americans across all subjects and industries. We are looking for teams of no more then 5 (1 teacher and up to 4 students) to design/decorate classroom doors highlighting an African-American in their field (i.e. a math teacher's door would highlight an African-American in the math/engineering filed). If you are interested, ask a teacher if they will be willing to assist and have that teacher confirm the room number and all group members via email. This contest will begin Feb. 1 with final doors being due February 13th.  The winner will be announced on February 14 during the morning announcements.  Please see Mrs. Davis (317) or Dr. Mines (371) for more information.  Thank you to all the teachers that have volunteered to participate; you are awesome!
  • Our Chess Club meets this afternoon in room 393. Learn skills that last a lifetime. Remember, Any fool can know, the point is to understand.
  • Join the Save club for our winter hike or perhaps sledding on Tuesday January 29th after school. Stop by Ms. Spivey or Mr. Young for permission slips.
  • Communication leads to supportive communities.  Please respond to the Student Communication Survey to make your ideas known.  The information collected in this survey will be used by a student group to complete a project that will help to bring about change at Euclid High School.  Thank you for helping to make Euclid High School a better place!
  • There are only a few weeks left of the yearbook pre-order discount.  Make sure you pre-order your book online before February to save money. See Mrs. Gaul in room 298 for ordering instructions or checkout tinyurl.com/ehsyb2019.
  • Hey Seniors!  Did you miss out?  If so, you can still pay for a senior quote!  See your English teacher or Mrs. Gaul in room 298 for an order form.  The deadline has been extended for January ONLY.  Order now!
  • These have been your Morning Announcements.  Remember to Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Have Integrity.  Have a thought-filled Thursday.
