Morning Announcements - January 24, 2023

Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. Today is Tuesday, January 24, 2023 and these are your morning announcements.

Have you insured your Chromebook? When students request a Chromebook replacement, if you haven’t paid your insurance fee you won’t be able to  get one. Never leave your Chromebook unattended, treat it like your cell phone and don’t put it down and go get lunch. Many Chromebooks are starting to "walk away" from the students they are assigned too. Do not forget to log into IC and pay this year's $20 annual technology fee. It is not just for when a Chromebook gets damaged. The fee covers the use and routine maintenance of the Chromebook and is a fee that is added every year you attend Euclid City Schools. All fees must be paid in full before you can graduate or have your transcripts transferred to another district, so it is best to pay fees each year rather than let them accumulate. If a Chromebook does get damaged, the technology fee will cover the first repair only. After that, the family is responsible for the cost of any further damage or replacement.

Starting this week, we are challenging our students to stay in the game and keep learning every day to decrease absenteeism. Students who come to school every day from January 23rd to February 16th will be entered in a weekly drawing to win a gift basket full of treats, gift cards, Brown’s swag, and Euclid swag. Students will be entered into the drawing each week they attend school daily. In addition to winning a gift basket, students will also be entered into a district-wide drawing for a Round One gift card. Please let your students know about this challenge.

Attention students ! We are currently accepting applications to audition in this year's Black History Assembly. Scan the QR code on the posted flyers to apply. Applications are due by February 1st. If you have any questions see Ms. Russo in H-115 or Ms Lanier in the Main office.

The Meeting will be held after school tomorrow in the cafeteria.

The SAVE Environmental club would like to encourage all high school students to reduce their plastic consumption.  Plastic does not biodegrade. Instead it breaks down and it's getting into our drinking water!!! Most plastics are made out of oil, and the production of plastic is connected to climate change!!! You can reduce plastic consumption by using a reusable water bottle or cup.  You can recycle plastic by taking it home with you or dropping it off in the box in the 230 pod.   Want to learn more? Stop by the SAVE meeting on Thursdays in room 230E.

Good Morning Euclid Panthers! Come Join the Foreign Language Club! It doesn’t matter if you are only taking Chinese or Spanish, come Tuesdays, for one hour after school.
