Morning Announcements - January 17, 2023

Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. Today is Tuesday, January 17, 2023 and these are your morning announcements.

Your R is an E for others! Your Response to an Event is often deeply personal but rarely private. You will impact the people in your 20 square feet. At Euclid High School we are committed to eliminating blaming, complaining and defending out of our lives, in order to step up and make a positive difference in the lives of those around us. Knowing that Today I get to! Act with Purpose, Serve People, Solve Problems and Bring Energy! Will help you get your mind right so you are ready to make good things happen for others, and that way good things can happen for you. Focus on your responses to the events you face throughout the day today.

The PBIS team is announcing that we will have a Student vs. Faculty Basketball game in March!  In order to play against the teachers in this event, you MUST be referral free for the 3rd quarter!  And YES, tardies to class and class cuts count as referrals!  Please work hard this quarter to be referral free so you can participate!

The next contest of the Ohio Math League is today  right after school in room 330F. Everyone is welcome. In the December contest our team scored higher than 8 other teams including Mastery School of Hawken, Olmsted Falls, and NDCL. See Mr. Zucca if you have any questions.

Good morning, Student Council Members! We will be having a meeting this afternoon in room 140C. Hope to see you there!

Good Morning Euclid Panthers! There is a time for focused learning, to study really hard and there is a time for fun learning and to study beyond the textbooks! Come join the Foreign Language Club! It doesn’t matter if you are only taking Chinese or Spanish, come Tuesdays, for one hour after school. We will explore different countries and cultures and learn diverse perspectives and it doesn’t matter if you are not taking a foreign language class at all. Come Tuesdays after school if you are free. Enjoy all the fun activities at the Foreign Language Club! We will celebrate Chinese New Year, do arts and crafts, have food parties, and have potlucks and more! So next Tuesday, Come to H350F right after school,  for our first meeting from 2:30- 3:30pm. See you there!

Student of the Week:  11th grader Tristian McDowell - Tristan has started off the 3rd quarter, ready for success!   Each day this quarter, he has turned in his electronics, maintained focus in class, and has been actively engaged asking and answering questions.   Tristian is also referral free all year.  Tristian, your teachers are extremely proud of the work you are doing this quarter!   Great job Tristan!  Ms. Costello will come and get you for your prize and picture.

Staff Member of the Week:  Mentoring Specialist Coach Rich Austin - he was nominated by multiple students: they say he is very cool, extremely helpful, and teaches them alot about being a better student athlete.  Congrats Coach Rich!

Bring out the best in you by pressing pause, getting your mind right, and cutting BCD out of your life, and have a great day at The Euclid High School.
