Morning Announcements - January 9, 2023

Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. Today is Monday, January 9, 2023 and these are your morning announcements.

Today I get to! Act with Purpose, Serve People, Solve Problems and Bring Energy! E+R=O We earn our outcomes. So Don’t hold on to what’s holding you back! During the first semester we built habits that either helped or hurt us physically, emotionally,  academically, or within our relationships with parents, teachers, our employers or our peers. Get rid of anything that does not make you better. It’s not about the E, you build habit forming behavior through your responses. If you practice pressing pause before your respond, it will show up in all circumstances you encounter in life. Pressing Pause is the first step to being flexible and gives you the power to Adapt and Adjust.

Every day for the next few weeks, we will be reviewing PBIS expectations at Euclid High School. Today, we will be talking about PODS and Common Area expectations.
Be Respectful:  Use appropriate language, respond appropriately to staff’s directions, use a conversational voice, and sit properly on furniture.
Be Responsible:  Wear your ID, keep ‘Pod Pass’ & ‘Library Pass’ visible at all times, and return ‘Pod Pass’ & ‘Library Pass’ to the teacher at the end of the period.
Be Engaged:  Actively work on class assignments, electronic devices used for educational purposes only, stay seated and work quietly, and be courteous to other students.
Remember, you CANNOT be in the POD unless a teacher has given you the pink POD PASS.  If you are out of your assigned area, you must have a hall pass. Otherwise, you could receive an office referral for being in an unauthorized area.

Student of the Week- The student of the week is 10th grader Ahja'Nae Smart. According to some of her teachers, she is always engaged in class, she always completes her assignments, she has good attendance and is always on time.  She is a terrific student who actively participates, does not get distracted, and is a joy to be around.  Congratulations!

Attention, all 2nd period Teachers:  Please make sure to complete the student self-reflection activity this period.  The personalized sheets were in your mailbox.  Students:  when completing this activity, think of things that YOU can change this semester, so your grades improve.  Remember, we do NOT move you along to the next grade level unless you have enough earned credits!  If you have questions after this activity, please see your counselor.

Bring out the best in you by pressing pause, getting your mind right, and cutting BCD out of your life, and have a great day at The Euclid High School.
