Morning Announcements - April 4, 2023

Good morning Euclid High School where we are Respectful, Responsible, and Engaged. Today is Tuesday, April 4,  2023 and these are your morning announcements.

THE R-FACTOR - As you are building your skill this week  I want you to consider how the R-Factor Skills work together. For example, when you Press Pause before you respond, you are thinking and gaining clarity. You’re getting off of autopilot. You clarify the outcome you want, the event you have, and the response you need. The process of pressing pause helps you get your mind right! After pressing pause you are able to pay attention to your inner response, and create the necessary mindset for responding with discipline. If you’re goal this week is to press pause, start by focusing on your breathing, take three deep breaths, calm your body and mind, and respond with discipline.

Euclid Panthers! Hope you make it to the Foreign Language Club today! We will discuss the films from the Cleveland International Film Festival. It was a great event and a great experience! If you have not made it to the Foreign Language Club so far, you don't want to miss the next one on April 11.  We will be very fortunate to have Mr.Hliatzos to present Greek culture to us! Everything will be very authentic! It's a great opportunity to learn about Greek culture, come today and come on April 11!  See you after school at 350F for the Foreign language Club meeting!

GSA will not be meeting today at 2:30

Students!  As we start to move into the spring season, please remember our Euclid high school dress code:  shorts and skirts must be fingertip length, your stomach should NOT be showing, no sunglasses, no shirts with sleeves less than 3 fingertip in width, and no clothing with inappropriate language, pictures, or suggestive references.  You will be sent to the principal’s office if you violate these rules.

Sophomores! We are proud to announce that starting this fall, we will be offering a new Career Tech program called Music Production & Engineering! If you are interested in music & video production, concepts, theory, choreography, composition & ensemble and more, check your Euclid email for application information! These applications are due by Friday, April 21st. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Hunt in the Counseling Office or email her at khunt@euclidschools.org.

Attention Euclid High School! Please save the date for the award winning Panther Marching Band Battle of the Band Competition on April 22nd, from 2pm-6pm at the Doc Daughtery Gymnasium. There will be multiple high school marching bands participating in the competition, a 50/50 raffle, and will feature the best band in the land, the grand champions, Euclid Panther Marching Band!
